Have Daily Paul followers Become Anti-Christian?

I have encountered many people in the freedom movement who reject who are even hostile to us Christians. I notice people persecute me for writing a prayer about asking God. We will lose this battle for the republic without divine providence. Do you agree or do many of you think you can win without God's help or have disdain for us God fearing people. I do not care if a person is a christian or not. Respect the right to worship or not to worship. But there are some mocking us in the movement saying we are the liability.

the truth is we do not have a prayer to win back the republic if we reject divine providence. DO you agree.

" until my access to massive historical information became available."

Funny how most Christian apologists rely on that exact historical information for evidence of Christianity, which by the way has a larger and earlier written record than any other ancient text, for proof of God's existence, and yet, somehow we are supposed to believe you examined the same overwhelming evidence and that made you an atheist, well I call bullshit on that, you are either dishonest or too stupid to understand the historical evidence.

"When you research the orgins of government and the role that religion has played throughout history for controlling large groups of individuals...the hiarchical structure and the consent to authority which all religions promote, becomes less a story about an amazing supernatual being and more a directed message with specific purposes...very much like propaganda."

Red Herring used for other state religions but not at all true of the founding Christian religion which was attacked by both the Jewish and Roman state from its founding to 300 years after.

"The fact is, there is no more proof to the claim that god exsists than anyone can disprove a claim that I have an invisible duck on my head...if thats what I claim."

Oh ya, we will take your baseless claim rather than proofs put forth from the ancient Greeks like Plato and Socrates et al, onward to the Christian saints, Rene Descartes, etc, sounds legit dude, please learn history and philosophy before showing your ignorance of it.

freestater...don't get so angry!

because I don't believe in talking snakes, virgins giving birth, men arising from the dead, and centarians procreating with their siblings to re-populate the earth, you infer that I'm dishonest, stupid, and ignorant? It has got to be exhausting supporting such hogwash...but, people absolutely have the freedom to support whatever foolishness they choose. I doubt you will be selected to help solve any problems in the world today. Unfortunantly sitting around praying or promoting propaganda continues to be the most popular method of doing nothing..."in the year of our lord" 2013. LOL!

“One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.” ~ Carl Sagan

i'm anti tribalism and anti aggression

If some Christians want to form tribes then I am anti them. But I know many Christians that aren't like that. its not a Christian thing, it's a tribalism and aggression thang that I am against.

We can't win without divine providence?

Come on dude. Have some more confidence in yourself. If you can dream it, you can make it happen.

He dreams of divine

He dreams of divine providence. Who's to say that's not how it happens?

No one is anti-Christian, but

No one is anti-Christian, but in order to convert people to the cause of liberty you have to be able to make logic based arguments instead of something that's arbitrary and completely unproveable. 1+1=2 instead of ?+?=2, the former is better argument if you don't want to give people an instant reason to discount everything else you are saying, right as you may be.

Good point

That's why I support any effort to extend liberty, even by people who embrace ideas as nonsensical and unprovable as the general theory of evolution, for example. Logical arguments applied with patience are the best approach. Anyone who thinks that self-replicating life sprang from random atomic collisions isn't thinking on all burners. Nevertheless, everyone deserves the liberty to believe whatever nonsense they want to believe and without ridicule.

And that my friend is exactly

And that my friend is exactly why so many people roll their eyes at liberty. No one attacked you, but you took the first chance you could to attack in the name of your sky fairy (see, two can play at that game). You gotta love the hypocrisy of religion.

First chance?

No, I take many such opportunities to point out that belief in The Flying Probability Monster and his Magic Wand is likewise based upon unprovable presuppositions. It's astonishing to me that so many people in the 21st century still put their hope in a chemically impossible event and at the same time attack the messengers who point out more rational explanations for the facts uncovered by science.

And, yes, I was attacked, albeit indirectly: "...you have to be able to make logic based arguments instead of something that's arbitrary and completely unproveable." A clear reference to the OP's faith.

Arbitrary and completely unprovable - a good description for the general theory of evolution.

Two articles I've read lately addressing my point:

it goes both ways

I have encountered people on both sides
who are hostile towards me and the way I think
But can we win without divine intervention?
good question, not so sure about any intervention from a god or otherwise
From what i have studied lately,my mind says no,the heart says possibly

setting your expectations to high, can cause depressiuon

I agree with Nonna

As a christian. I have a hard time listening to other Christians preach as well. Largely due to the lack of understanding of what they speak of!

I love our father and creator as much as anyone. I believe actions speak louder then words!. So I don't bother trying to force anyone to listen to what they don't want to hear. I am a man of my own! I do good and that's all I need to do!

Prayer, yes. Being preached at

by letter of the Law Christians, NO!

Too many come here with a mission to convert what they stupidly perceive as the great unwashed masses. This is NOT a religion forum. We each have a pathway to God we must follow. Your path is not another's path and vice versa.

I saw you Prayer For Divine Intervention post. It was good, UNTIL you went into holier than thou mode. Be careful with that stuff or you will get your "feelings hurt".

Not putting you down. Just offering some Christian advice.

where did I go holier than

where did I go holier than thou?

In your reply to Barracuda_Trader:

"The non Christians in the liberty movement are going to destroy us. ... I grieve for all of the and you because you will not get it. We will lose if we do not have divine help seeking his providence. Besides I will thank God for being persecuted by you."

You went all holier than thou on him and we know him to be a good man who follows the spirit of the law.

I am responding to your question out of courtesy. Please do not play the game previous posters played by incessantly trying to engage in a dialogue that has no place on DP, except, perhaps in the religion section where people preach to their own choirs. Not saying you are doing that. Just politely asking you not to do that before your feelings get hurt. It's happened over and over on this site when people persist on the path your seem to be on (with this post after your other post was not well received).

You do have a point Nonna. I

You do have a point Nonna. I try to avoid being self righteous like the plague. Yes my flesh gets in the way. We all in sin and imperfect. It is no excuse either because we have to be Christ like everyday. Some day I am better than other. Today is not that day. Thanks for the rebuke Nonna

"We all in sin and imperfect. It is no excuse either because we have to be Christ like everyday. Some day I am better than other. Today is not that day."

The meaning of "sin" is to miss the mark. As in shooting it is to miss the target. Choose your target. Aim for it. Don't aim to strike near it. Don't aim to be Christ-like. Aim to be Christ. Your shot will then improve as will your days.

Being Christ is not a sin.

Fear of being Christ is the root of all sin.

Well, thank you for taking it in the spirit

in which it was offered.

One of the things I've learned is that once you recognize the Christ in yourself and, hopefully, in others, you know to let the Christ work through you and them. Then, even though we are all sinners, we are being saved by the love of Christ, without anyone else telling us how rotten we are or were, as the case may be. I know I didn't express that well but, you know what I mean. Don't be so hard on yourself.

Nonna, That Prayer was out of

Nonna, That Prayer was out of a burden in my heart and in my mind. It has been in my thoughts to write it for days. BHO has lived a very dysfunctional life with people in reproach teaching him the ways of darkness. Regardless of the wickedness being shown daily everyday about BHO. I do pity him and have some compassion because he may have never experienced the love of Christ. He is man lacking the love in his life. He is like us in need of God's mercy and forgiveness.

The prayer is about hoping God can reach him and that if he heeds God's calling in his heart. Maybe through a change in his heart where is speaking to the nation. People will know he is speaking from his soul with peace and joy and not from a teleprompter. Maybe the people of this nation might reflect on their own lives which could spark a revival where the heart of the people turns back to God.

It may be not a perfect prayer. But it was on my heart to speak my mind.

Agreed. Now I can say

AMEN! Love is always the answer.
