Gun Owners of America's Dire Warning, What Must Be Done and an Important Liberty Candidate

So a vote for the nuclear option on Thursday was a vote to begin the process of effectively repealing the Second Amendment.

Last Thursday, November 21, is a day that will live in infamy.

Harry Reid pulled the trigger on the "nuclear option" -- a process whereby 52 Senate Democrats voted to change the Senate rules by brute force.

He did this for the ostensible purpose of packing the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals with three anti-gun judges -- one of which (Robert Wilkins) has held that the Second Amendment doesn't protect the right to purchase firearms, just the right to possess them.

But make no mistake about it: The Senate now effectively has no rules. This means that, if Supreme Court "swing vote" Anthony Kennedy were to die or resign tomorrow, Obama would shove through another virulently anti-gun nominee.

Finish reading at http://gunowners.org/alert11252013.htm

But the bottom line is that the Senate rules can no longer protect us. Our only alternative is to get Harry Reid out of the Majority Leader's position before Anthony Kennedy resigns.

And the only way to do that is to make sure that Mark Begich (D-AK), Mary Landrieu (D-LA), Kay Hagan (D-NC), Mark Warner (D-VA), Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), Al Franken (D-MN), Tom Udall (D-NM), Mark Udall (D-CO), and Jeff Merkley (D-OR) don't have their jobs renewed.

Take notice of a name listed.. Kay Hagan (D-NC).

She is being challenged by Constitutionalist and OBGYN, Greg Brannon.

Brannon has been endorsed by Thomas Woods, Rand Paul and the National Association for Gun Rights.

The establishment has endorsed the rino, as expected.

I hope you'll take a moment to get to know Mr. Brannon by watching just two interviews if you haven't already.

I hope you'll consider donating whatever you can to make sure this man reaches DC whether you live in NC or not.

It's worth pointing out the

It's worth pointing out the filibuster is gone for only judicial and executive nominees, with the exception of Supreme Court nominees; legislative filibusters are also still in the rules. Now they can easily change those as well, but as of right now, the filibuster is only partially killed.

Add this to the mix:

September 25, 2013

Fairfax, Va. – Today, Secretary of State John Kerry signed the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty on behalf of the Obama administration. The National Rifle Association strongly opposes this treaty, which is a clear violation of the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

This is beyond serious. If

This is beyond serious. If the nuclear option had happened before that gun control stuff last spring, bye bye 2nd Amendment. if I recall correctly, the vote for the Feinstein stuff and that other registration thing was 54 yea, 46 nay. A no go cause the filibuster rule was in effect, filibuster pushed originally by Lee,Cruz and Paul. So 60 was needed. Now supposedly this is only for judicial nominees. Right. GOA is spot on, consider joining them if you are concerned for the future of the 2nd A. 20 bucks a year and they send informative newsletters, have a really good rating system for the mid-terms, and our boy RP quote front and center on their site. They are trustworthy.

Brannon is the most cogent candidate I have run across for

anything, anywhere. If he gets in the Senate he will put those country clubbers to shame with his constitutional knowledge.

Undo what Wilson did

I posted this at FreedomWorks

Hopefully they will help :-)

you may be thinking

of Freedom Works of old ran by Dick Armey. Lots of Ron Paul supporters on the inside now.

Here is a response from somebody at FreedomWorks:

"Ref;senate candidate Brannon , like what I heard so far"

Many are misguided, but they do mean well. If we all participate on that site, we may be able to bring others around who are looking for answers.

I can Identify with that

...initially, as a knee-jerk reaction....But, upon further consideration, it's NOT a BAD IDEA!

How many Freedom Works "insiders" are posting here at DP?
We are supposed to reach out and wake some people up.......
.....even if we gotta get in the belly of the beast with them.

I couldn't agree more

freedomworks has many members /participants that are begging to be educated in Liberty, Literally. They are also on facebook which is a perfect oppertunity to educate and support the other online participants. Also a great place to promote liberty candidates. You may not win over die hard neocons but there are a lot of open minds there.

Would have voted this up sooner

...if you'd had a better title...too obscure.
