Fake Victimhood-No anti-gay comment on receipt?

Remember the case of the lesbian server who, after her customer left the restaurant, found a charge receipt with no tip and an anti-gay comment. The server received an outpouring of sympathy and even some donations from people who were appalled by the story.

Well...the family who supposedly stiffed the server and left the homophobic comment has produced their copy of the receipt and a charge statement that seems to show they are victims of the victim.

It's possible the family doctored their own receipt (in this day and age, anything is possible with technology....truth is becoming a very slippery thing).

Since the family was never named, they were not hurt by the story, and they had nothing to gain by disputing the story. However, the server had a lot to gain. It certainly makes me suspicious of her.

What amazes me

stuff happens all the time to people.. so how did this one become MSM headline news? goes right over my head.

Gay people don't lie. They

Gay people don't lie.
They don't do drama.
This must be a mistake. /sarc.

This is true.. except the family also produced their credit card billing statement which indicates there was an $18 tip left. The total billed on the credit card statement matches the families copy, and not the one the waitress posted on line. When confronted by this evidence, the restaurant issued a statement that they were conducting an internal investigation.

what did you expect?

waiters and waitresses get stiffed all the time, the only way they were going to make a national story about it was going to be if she lied.
