Wait.. just watched the vid.. Sounds like he answered to me...

Inter: Do you believe the government should re-distribute wealth

Levin: No... We should re-distribute the gov'ts power back to the states and the people...

Inter: I thought you'd say that... So, is Medicaid re-distribution?

Levin: To some extent, yes.

Inter: So you'd be against Medicaid?

Levin: I think those issues should be resolved Constitutionally... Perhaps through the amendment process... Medicaid is a state-federal partnership, and if states don't want to be involved they don't have to be...

Inter: Right, so why are you...' (interrupted)

Levin: Why are you pushing me?

Inter: Oh, I'm sorry I got bumped into

Levin's asst.: No more questions.

This is what makes you Ron Paulers sound like kooks

Why should he be against medicaid? It could use reforms but I am for old and poor people getting some kind of health care, why not focus on the big money, the bankster bail-outs. If there were as many threads on the bankster bailouts here as mildly f*&ked up social programs like medicaid you'd have all of Occupy Wall Street eating out of your hand.

Release the Sandy Hook video.

LOL I don't mind the down-votes

I know I was a little provocatory there. But I stand by my main point. IT'S THE BAIL-OUTS!

Release the Sandy Hook video.

I tend to agree with you.

Although, I don't like taxes and compulsion, we are already taxed and compelled. If we didn't have our imperialist wars, foreign aid, and mobsters, skimming off the top, there would be more than enough for our own people to never go hungry, be cold, or lack adequate health care. There is no reason, in a country as large, advanced, and wealthy as the United States, for anyone to go without basic needs.

Do you think Levin contradicted himself?

Do you think Levin contradicted himself?

Jan Helfeld

oh most certainly he contradicted himself, I'm no big fan of

Levin. He talks the talk until he gets to the standard Neocon Muslim-bashing. Then I know what he's about. Zionist "clash of civilizations" shill.

Release the Sandy Hook video.

If there were as many threads here about inter.banking & the Fed

...as there are blaming "Zionists" for all their own problems...

I don't like Levin either. He was terrible to Ron Paul during the election.

That, and his support of the Iraq & Afghan wars, are why I don't like him. Not just because he's a Jew, which seems to be why a lot around here like to bash him.

Every time I hear

about Levin, I remember him yelling at Ron Paul supporters on his radio station and not giving them a chance to talk. He's a punk.

Me too... That's what I think about him... nothing more...

He turned his back to Ron Paul. Levin could've endorsed a candidate that would've accomplished a lot of things Levin promotes. Instead he attacked that man.

So, now he is espousing much of the same limited-government ideals that the good Doc ran on. He always had, but he didn't put his endorsement behind the right man when it counted.

With the election well over, should he be looked at as any kind of potential ally? Or should we attack him?

I think we need all the help we can get, and if this guy is coming closer towards liberty, rather than liberty having to move closer to people like him to get the word out, then we should use that to our advantage, and try to get Levin to push more for liberty.

This interviewer put pressure on him to stay consistent with his (supposed) constitutional conservative principles. And we always need people like the interviewer to keep these people somewhat honest, and in-check. Good job.

But I don't think ripping on him, and taking him apart is good for anyone, but the leftwing MSM.

I have not heard Levin ever speak so slowly.

The States have become dependent on Medicaid money because they are broke. They take it because they now have no choice. With the money comes a lot of strings and CMMS screw-tiny. The CMMS compliance issues cost almost as much as the money that is given.

This was short and sweet hypocrisy. The man is arrogant, condescending, and offensive. I am glad for your sake that is was not a longer interview.

I despise Mark Levin

However, I don't know what Jan Heffeld's day job is, but I think he should abandon the Mic and return to it.

I do not doubt his intentions. And, I know his heart is in the right place, But, IMHO the work product sucks. His form of "gotcha" journalism, doesn't really getcha anyone. See Luke Rudkowski re: Gotcha Journalism.

Jan is like the Pillsbury Doughboy iu a Kung Fu kick-off. Way outa his league.

You're WRONG Skipper1946. I wish this WAS Jan's day job.

This is exactly what he should be doing ALL the time with these rat bastard hypocrite members of congress.

I thank GOD for people like Jan who have the guts and the brains to get close enough to these socialist rat government officials and bust them on camera.

Especially the hypocrite republicans who CLAIM to be for limited government and liberty like Mark Levin, John McCain, Lyndsey Graham etc.

These rats are all for foreign aid - which is pure theft from the American people - yet they have the nerve to call themselves conservatives.

But there you are criticizing Jan for such stupid reasons...Why don't you go try to get an interview with these hypocrites - and see how far you get.

I say BRAVO to Jan - Keep up the great work despite what people like this say.

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul

Hold on...

Since when has Lindsey Graham & John McCain ever claimed to be for liberty, lol?

Mark Levin was not helpful during the 2012 election, and was not good to Dr. Paul. That is good reason to question his loyalty to liberty.

But, that said, he actually isn't supportive of most of the issues that McCain & Graham espouse, and is actually pretty well aligned with liberty positions outside of foreign policy.

I am not a Levin fan. Just want to be accurate.

.

Asking questions which point out that powerful people simultaneously hold entirely contradictory ideological positions is "gotcha" journalism?

It means those powerful people are either liars or have no philosophy to guide their beliefs.

Either would discredit and undermine their opinions severely. Which he has successfully done a number of times. This time included.

Personally, I think a big reason people shy away from politics. They've run across these inconsistencies and rather than work them out themselves, they resign themselves to the idea that it must be more complicated and therefore left to others to decide.

It's easy to knock someone's work.. little harder to do a better job yourself.

Watch all of his work.

The gotcha comes from the Socratic dialogue that takes place and draws focus on the interviewees' inconsistent unsupported or contradictory views. It only looks like "gotcha" because of the way Jan gets straight to the point and doesn't allow evasive answers.
There are no trick or leading questions in the interviews.

Make sure you get him on camera, Jan

And keep up the good work!

All art is only done by the individual. The individual is all you ever have, and all schools only serve to classify their members as failures. E.H.
Jan Helfeld's picture

I will try.

Thank you again Michael for your venue, support and praise. I will try.

Jan Helfeld

These radio-con

misdirection artists, don't like to be questioned, because it takes them out of their safe zone they control. He had to think about pinning him on Medicaid, because he had to try to quickly think if any of his Coporatist brothers have their hands in that bottom up game of theft. Since, he was caught off guard he tried to dodge the answer.

Everyone of Jan's interviews has the same theme-

The person interviewed is either physically or mentally running away unable to face the contradiction of their own thoughts that Jan "illicits"*.

I prefer the ones where Jan has pre arranged the interviews and the interviewees squirm, glare, threaten, insult, call time, take off the microphones, or stand up abruptly.

By all means schedule a sit down interview for me

By all means try to schedule a sit down interview for me with your favourite statist.

Jan Helfeld

I wish I could!

The ones with pelosi, stepanopolis, and that former congressman from California were classic.
I'd like to see one with Lindsay Graham

That's because these rats run away whenever Jan asks...

...his great questions.

They are backed into a corner and I doubt many of them would sit down with him in the first place.

I applaud all of Jan's efforts and I challenge anyone else to get even half as much as he does out of these lying rats.

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul

Indeed! When it dawns on them that their statements

don't stand up to even slight scrutiny they initially scoff and use a tried and true sound bite.
Then Jan persists and asks another question that refutes the sound bite and demands an honest answer.
That's when the interviewee turns over the chess table and makes excuses about having to go or hurls insults.
If only mainstream journalists would interview this way.
But you see why they don't if they did they would not get another interview.

Great job Jan - Levin is a PHONY...He's all for foreign aid too

Would love to have seen more

Levin had two competing thoughts
-against redistribution
-for states self determination
Seemed like he was going to make the romney argument-Heath care is bad on a national level but ok if states want to do it.

Jan you would have had a field day with that! If one is opposed to a fundamental concept at the Federal level it doesn't become acceptable because another entity does it.

Change the subject to the death penalty and see if you can oppose it on moral principles on the Federal level but ok it at the state level on constitutional grounds
