Things To Be Thankful For

DP'eople, gather round, its time to be thankful together.

I am thankful that I am alive.

I am thankful that I am in good health.

I am thankful that I have good family, and a few good friends.

I am thankful for good dreams, restful sleep, a wakeful day, thoughtful nights.

For good thoughts, sincere feelings conveyed clearly, and warmly returned.

I am thankful that I know enough to see the bad in the world without being engulfed by it, and that it isn't all bad.

If you're on here, you know enough to see the bad without it engulfing you, and to know it from the good, to choose it, to redeem the world by knowing how to set it right. Your words make it better.

I'm thankful that the pains are balanced by joys, and that deeper pains prepare the palette for deeper joys.

I'm thankful that I have a few talents, and humility enough to know where they end.

I am thankful that I am not embittered by my failures and setbacks.

I am thankful that I can be good even to those who aren't, and not merely out of pride to prove I can.

I am thankful I can feel joy in others' happiness even if I am not happy.

If the world is random, a chaos of clashing forms, spun out of chance for a fleeting moment, then I'm thankful to be alive amid the rolling turmoil before it fades out, to exist, now.

If the world is a moral drama played out on the the stage of a creative mind, running its course to the end, I am thankful to be a part of the artist's tapestry, perfect or not, molded in his image, and able to see dimly as he sees.

I am grateful not be drowned in resentments, buried in fears or stunted and stopped up by a hard fate or by gnawing, inner worms.

I am thankful I still have the chance to make it better, to walk straighter than before, with fewer false steps, more brave, more manly, more on the path I want to go, that it's not over yet.

When it is over, I will be thankful for the end, however it ends, and hope it will have been good enough to look back on or wind back and replay without too many regrets.

The same for you all, and I'm thankful for you too!

I am thankful for being born

I am thankful for being born in America.

I am thankful for the food I ate this evening with my family. Without food, and without my family, I would not be alive today.

I am most thankful for God's guidance and His angels that watch over and help protect us every single day.

Thanks be to God.

Never be afraid to ask simple questions.

Everything I feel but can't put in two words so easily, thank you and all

happy TG titanium cranium hope you had a good time

Thanks, BILL3, I am grateful for this article of yours

It led me to this, where I learned a great deal:

Which led me to this:

Which led me to this guy:

I don't know much about him at this point, but just looking at his face makes me happy :)

Ok, off to eat way too much food!

I also enjoy looking at him,

I also enjoy looking at him, and am grateful to you.

Thanks, BILL3,

I am thankful for the DP, but even more so for RP who is the inspiration for the DP.

I am thankful for Michael Nystrom and his dedication to the efforts of Ron Paul.

I am, of course most thankful to and for the Author of Liberty - Almighty God, the Saviour of the world, or at least of as many as receive Him.

One additional thought: I am thankful that God created opposites, even the devil, because without opposites nothing could be tested. This is why I love the Daily Paul. All comments, ideas and theories get tested! If you're wrong (perceived as), ilinformed, foolish, rude or unjust, you're gonna get hammered, mildly corrected or ignored!

This a great place to learn and grow and even have your mind changed for the better.

Happy Thanksgiving, everybody!!

Freedom is the ability to do what you want to do.
Liberty is the ability to do what you ought to do.

Being happy is a choice.. same with being humble.

Great post. Thanks for posting. Put a huge smile on my face.

Hear hear. Well said Bill.

I'm thankful for having found my wife, Samantha. I'm thankful to have such a wonderful playmate in this world.

I'm thankful for the Daily Paul, for all the people who are here, and for everything I've learned as a result.

Above all, wherever its all going, and wherever it all ends, I'm thankful to have been given the opportunity to experience not just physical reality, but to have been born in one of the most abundant places in the world.

We tend to take for granted these modern miracles that have become so mundane to us who are so spoiled: Electric lights, running water, a flushing toilet, a grocery store with well stocked, overflowing shelves. General physical safety. Clean air and water. Public transportation. The warmth of the sun. I'm thankful for it all.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

He's the man.

Thanks for all you do, Mike!

Thanks for all you do, Mike! Seriously, if it wasn't for places like DP, and there are so few of them, America would be going on 8 or 9 decades without any real centers of political discussion. Since the decline of the political pub or coffee house long ago, politics has been pretty much a staged propaganda show managed by parties or the state. At least now there are places for public discussion, as flawed as they might be. And DailyPaul is a better one of them, with real character, community, and gorgeously designed... the site is so well organized and functional... you're involved, it's not just a generic, run of the mill site... attracts some talent, really an oasis.

When you think about how almost everyone has their own blog, and how little money there is in online political sites, and how much talent is sucked up by what little money there is, DP really stands out as something unique. Be proud of it and happy Thanksgiving!

I agree

The DP is the only online political community that I agree with. I get so fed up with the right and left wing sites. If I want to know the truth I come here. This community is unique and I love it.

I have a gut feeling that whatever is coming next around here.. it will be big!

Thank you for the DailyPaul, Mr. Nystrom!
