The police are the greatest threat to human liberty in history

The police are the greatest threat to human liberty in history. Historically, they have been the instruments of oppression throughout the ages. Absent this enforcement mechanism, no member of the political class, that curious professional remora priesthood that plagues societies that usurps power and assumes “delegated powers” not permitted of the serfs that elect them to office or suffer under their dictatorial power could not exist.

The fear of a few bad men is not curbed by putting the worst men in charge.

Members of the same society become policemen who in America manage to make an industry of abuse, kidnapping, maiming and killing under exclusive licensure of the state powers. In other words, you cannot nor do you have the right to steal from your neighbor, physically accost him, kidnap him and murder him if he refuses to obey but a uniform and state-issued badge grants you the power to do so. Not only is the license granted but the full power of the state is brought to bear with funds and assets appropriated at gunpoint to protect the state agents who accost the citizenry that are drained for the monies to pay the occupying army.

Obviously

Clearly this is obvious to most here at DP but elsewhere on this site cries of "this is why we need the police" and "we need more cops" run around without question.

I'm friends with a local Peace officer in my county, however, knowing his demeanor over the years doesn't actually instill within me a sense of calmness should things turn sour for society as a whole. His last interaction with me left me thinking about what lengths he would go to out me as a non-conformist.

And, for me, "peace" officer doesn't actually offer the type of image it is meant to portray. Especially when you know the individual representing the sanctified order.

Those who fear others are the

Those who fear others are the greatest threat, are the greatest threat.

lawyers are the greatest threat.

Seriously those people live in a completely different world than the rest of us, and their brains are wired differently, and then they are a bunch of idiots, and then with no real world experience they make laws and judgements based on the fantasy world they live in. Who wrote oboma care? Lawyers, not doctors. Who wrote the welfare laws? Lawyers, why not charity workers? Who writes farm laws? Lawyers why not farmers? who writes patent laws? lawyers. actually patent laws are pretty anti free market.anyway the only reason why cops are so bad is because they are told what to do by insane people called lawyers.

what spawned the creation of the lawyer profession tho?

government (government law courts)

not just government

I think its more like government plus the academic class. When I say academic class I mean the group of people who are "experts" simply because they have a degree. Lawyers for generations can only become lawyers by going through college. We now have generations of economic professors who have never had anything to do with business. I know a young lady who was given a college level computer class to teach because the college professor couldnt cover it and she got good grades in the class, she does not know how to hook up her cell phone to wifi. But she got great grades in the class. I have another buddy who can sodder two motherboards together to make his computer twice as fast but because he does not have a degree he cant find a job.

Basically put we have an academic class in our country that has the paper work but not the experience in most things and its going to end bad sooner or later.

Where else can you...

Where else can you get a job if you are a bully, thug and a criminal? If they couldn't get that job they would be in jail or worse.

It was a Police Sting

Obviously ;)

anytime that you see the word "Police"

what it really means is that they work for a Corporation.

only the Sheriff works for the people.

anyone care to challenge my statement?

Bueller? anyone?

deacon's picture

kind of,yes

the sheriffs are supposed to work for the people
but,they too,actively work against them
by this,i mean, they too follow the states codes, statutes and
ordinances
Most get funded by the city councils, who work for the city
and for the cities best interests
sheriffs here hand out tickets for owning a dog,but no license
they will put people behind bars, without having a sworn testimony
from a victim of wrong doing
They will lie in wait and catch..THE BAD GUYS

there's a difference between barney fife and andy taylor
barney couldn't wait to bust people for anything under the sun
andy would wait for a complaint, then he would decide if action needed to take place
sheriffs swear an oath to the const, but break that by being bailiffs in
court

I Love you brother.

and yes your words are true.

what I am obliquely trying to do... is to get the people to pay attention to the meaning of...words.

deacon's picture

same to you

I can honestly say..I love you too,like a brother,not sure why
but,I have learned not to question everything :)
being oblique...at times doesn't work,it's like beating around the bush

I see you use music to express your ideas, excellent,I love the pink floyd
song free-four (not available on youtube...anymore)

here is a couple that speaks to me

But i cannot forget John Lennon

Long that song!

The count is "One, two, free, four" then the nice chords start in. From Obscured By Clouds; that also contains the song "Wot's... Uh the Deal?", which was one of the first songs I learned on guitar back in college.

Thanks for the memories!

I love you. I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you.

:)

for me lately, songs have a whole new meaning.
The things i put my heart and soul into..the things I thought
important...not so much anymore
But songs..have a life of their own
Who calls the tune in the court room, and who beats the funeral drums?

Remember a while ago,i sent you a link? I honestly believe it changed the way i look at things
My perspective changed,I kind of like it,but it does limit what gets said
whom you talk to,and why
But at the same time,is sort of scary, not as in fearful, more of life changing
experiences
Things that do not matter so much are, politics, religions, peoples personal
beliefs
Their seems to be things going on behind the scenes, that are a direct reflection and the main cause for concern,I am going to find it all(or at least, most of it)
I was on this track before false dogmas, false religions and man made doctrines left me dry,and wasted time
anyways i prattled long enough, have a great life,it is yours after all

Don't recall the link?

Love the quote you referenced -- it's amazing to listen to songs I learned when I was much younger (and not yet awakened fully), and see that there are messages in them about liberty. Even the songs that are about statism do have a liberty component, if only "don't be like this." (Heard a Green Day song on the radio yesterday while driving, which I sang along to but could almost feel my wife getting uncomfortable -- the lyrics are about cheating, the song "When I Come Around".)

I speak my mind; it has gotten me in trouble. But what, really, is "trouble"? If it means distancing myself from those who do not appreciate liberty, so that I can find a group that better appreciates liberty -- it is temporary trouble that leads to better things.

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving! I am thankful that you are here. Thanks for the tip about ormus as well.

the ormus

It does give weird dreams, even awake
but if one remembers dreams are their own, then there's not problems
I believe dreams are for learning, and i know for a fact that they can be directed (manipulated) by the dreamer, for their own desired outcomes
When i was younger if i had a life problem,or didn't know how to do something
when i awoke the dreams i had taught me how to do it,sure miss those days

it was the proper use of the word "Love"

I tried to use it within the proper Christian context.
I am trying to understand why more "Christians" have not joined our cause....
Jesus only gave one commandment. right?
I somehow knew you would understand. and that you did, gives me a measure of peace tonight.
thank you!

deacon's picture

I could go off on a rant

about why "christians" do not join this cause
But with certainty,it would not be well received
There are things never to be spoken of,politics and religion
and with good reason, and for the same
People will not change their minds once it is formed, even if it comes from another's opinion (and usually is)
these 2 topics alone, have left me broke, without family, and mostly alone
but it does not matter one iota, because what others have told them over and over is instilled into their psyche,so it must be gospel, and no amount of truth will drive that from them. But so be it
I do not consider myself what other's call a christian,it is a label
worn openly for all to see on sunday, but shallow and dead the rest of the week
What their pastors say is truth, even if it contradicts their own bibles, the same is true with most who follow party lines, while most here know the differences, most other people will not touch it with a ten foot pole,as this too,is so hard for them
Change is hard for some,so hard they will not changes beliefs, nor even confront the lies they see, read or hear
D

If we deny truth before your very eyes, then the rest of what we have to say,is of little consequence

Since essentially its TRUTH that has left you broke,

without family, and mostly alone, the TRUTH should matter. So long as truth matters to you, then you should care whether what you believe is true or not. If you care whether what you believe is true or not, then you should be willing to question what you believe (including religion) and subject it to critical scrutiny. Testing what you believe against logic and evidence is the only way ensure that what you believe is more likely true than not. If you won't question what you believe, then you can't care much about truth.

The number of inaccuracies in the bible and the vast number of religious claims that have been proven wrong, if not absurd, is huge.

Even religious theists will agree that if we were to create a list of all religious beliefs ever held by humans, most would be wrong. Given this incredibly poor record, how reliable can we treat the relatively small number of claims that are still being disputed? Of course, this isn't proof that they are definitely wrong, but it does suggest that religions do not produce reliable, accurate information and knowledge.

Spit out the pink pill and take the RED pill.

my comment

above,was not a complaint,but more of a fact
I have always questioned everything, especially from ones
I did not trust,(I looked at them more closely)
And i never said truth does not matter (you did)
but it is what happened, and i wouldn't do one thing differently
than I have already
truth has a way of separating the wheat from the chaff

If we deny truth before your very eyes, then the rest of what we have to say,is of little consequence
