Job post: Political media sales operative wanted.

This is not a joke piece, this is a serious offering.

DP Radio and allied partners seek a political attack/marketing sales executive. This person will be instructed in the ways of identifying and approaching various PACs, campaigns and other entities to offer hard-hitting informational material and strategic/tactical media campaigns.

See http://www.dailypaul.com/306696/daily-paul-radio-is-live

What's a hard hitting informative material? Here's one example:

Have fun hovering your mouse over various info points in the link above. This little take-down of Lindsey Graham? We did that just for fun. Imagine what we do when we're getting paid to do it. We amaze even ourselves.

Candidates should possess computer/internet savvy, have social and viral media awareness, existing political contacts are a plus, and be ready to maintain a database of contacts/clients using the fairly sophisticated online contact management software we will provide to you. Previous broadcast and/or production experience is a plus as is media, software or technology sales. Good written, oral communication skills as well businesslike presentation (definitely online, hopefully in person) are required for this potentially high profile position. Absolute discretion and confidentiality is required by us and our clients at all times.

Technical support and coaching is available from other team members along with specific instructions on contact procedures but you should be a self starting person who wants to get to know the "right people" in the "right campaigns". Advancement is absolutely implied.

You need the following tools at minimum:
1. At least one computer. Windows computers will require security enhancements.
2. High speed internet.
3. Mobile communications and email capability including the ability to send and receive electronic files.
4. Libreoffice or Openoffice. MS Office is also acceptable and sometimes very helpful.
5. A heart that burns for liberty.

What this mission can do for you.

1. You learn how PACs and campaigns are organized. You will have a window into an insider world.

2. You will meet and make contacts that will advantage you in any political effort going forward (how do we always have insider intel? Because some of us are insiders).

3. You will learn media production and insertion. Kind of like "marketing" on steroids.

4. You will work with some of the best minds in the movement including some "sleepers". There's some of us you never hear about, they don't seem to do anything but they are behind the scenes on a lot of what we do.

5. You will probably end up on a first name basis with some stars in our movement. The big muckety-mucks we all (continue to) admire greatly.

This is a commission based position. And we're not talking $20 here and there. For most of what we do you'll be taking in the range of $200-$2000 in commissions. Not bad eh?

Yeah. This is not a game, this is what we do.

Interested parties please contact SalesOp@WalkingLibertyPublishing.com with a brief(ish) cover statement to introduce yourself. Please use the term "SALES OPERATIVE" in your subject line. Please allow 48 hours for a response. All submissions will be held confidential subject to applicable law. No phone calls please. Details of this post are subject to change. We are an equal opportunity, period.

OK I'm convinced.

We're creating a whole new position just for you Repo.

The original position remains open.

What is that in English?

Wait who said that was a requriement?

Internally we type Cyrillic with a thick Brooklyn accent.

(you guys. every time i try to do something serious....this...)

Maybe I'm missing the context in which this word is couched; can you use it in a sentence outside of this topic?

What do you mean by an attack sales executive?

I'm happy to help spread the post, but I need some clarity. Thanks!

We changed the words but the meaning is the same

If you look at the second link in the post, you'll see what we call an attack piece on Lindsey Graham. Or you can call it a hit piece or a swiftboat but whatever it is, it's not a pro-Lindsey piece.

It's so weird...

When I read the word attack, it seems so heavy and aggressive. However, when I say it out loud, it's exactly as we'd comment during an election season about attack ads running on the TV.

Seriously don't know where my brain was on that one.... Yikes.

Yeah it's kinda like football

Everything is in military terms. Campaigns, attacks, operatives, intel, victories and defeats. We talk about destroying, smearking, neutralizing and eliminating competitors. And yeah it is kinda freaky. Can't blame you a bit there.

bumped for myself! i may cut

bumped for myself! i may cut my hair for this!

"I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, be wise as a serpent and harmless as a dove."

Please don't. If you must, learn how to tie a bow tie.

But to be a proper "L" libertarian you have to learn how to tie it with an "unstudied air of nonchalance". It's supposed to be kind of skewed. This is one of our historic signals that you are a REBEL and a NON CONFORMIST.

For this reason no self respecting L would be caught dead in a clip-on bow tie. They look too perfect and that is INTOLERABLE.

For this reason I scour thrift stores in search of that particular pattern or weave that your sent to the Salvation Army in 1972.

In this role, long hair is a qualification not a disadvantage.

Attacking is Indeed

Attacking is indeed the wrong word. We must promote peace by exposing the devious nature of the Political Class.

In my experience as a Libertarian (17 years), Indy (16 years), and now as a Republican (2 years, as a standing delegate who attended both state conventions this year), I do not believe the "political class" (not sure what you mean here.. maybe the establishment?)

I really do not believe it is a "devious nature", definately not in third parties and Indys.. while there may be operatives who take advantage of activists within,, the vast majority are there because they care.

My two years in the GOP, and now as a treasurer, it's ALL business, and me thinks.. why would we protest this? Because many people here appear to need jobs, and interested in starting businesses.. and politically speaking, I don't see a better opportunity.

Many treasurers are now professional.. the adverage salery is $200K and some folks (dozens) are legally making millions from campaigns.. Jesse Benton didn't get paid squat by comparison to other managers.

So you can see maybe, where corporations put their people in these positions.. compentent people who know how to just do the job.

We could all be getting paid for the fruit of our labor to advance libertyand material Ron Paul's message.. GOP is very understanding when it comes to the needs and desires of people to earn money.. and that's why I wonder.. what are we doing by not taking advantage of this? Hopefully your show will produce some answers.

Mind if I handle this one?

Alli was merely instructing me on my choice of words, therefore the burden of answer falls to me.

The people you describe represent our clients. They are the people we want to increasingly work with. And we're the people they need to be talking to to get their campaigns ahead. To get them burning with the brushfires of liberty. And we've never had a more refined toolset in the hands of a more experienced team.

As you can see we're financially as motivated as anybody and perhaps a little extra. For while creating new channels to spread the message (which we'd like to be self funding), at the end of the day we're under no illusions: there's a large, very large part of "labor of love" happening here. We all know that going in. If we can make enough money to make it by and keep it growing, well, that's within mission parameters.

So that's actually where this new position is crucial and as indicated, it's not just about DPR because as we devote time to this project, we basically need our own support systems for other projects. DPR isn't in the business of producing campaign media or other technologies for anything but itself, that's something we do. And it's part of what makes the role challenging because we work across almost all media. More now than ever. So while there are in fact several different entities at this table, each with several (as opposted to joint) requirements, we're totally going for that synchronicity factor. We want to leverage power across these entities and among ourselves.

Hopefully that explains why this seems like a constellation rather than an org chart. And hopefully explains our relationship to the political spectrum. And believe it or not, there really is a business model here. It's precise. It's the EXPANSIVE aspect you can sense at work here, I think that was throwing off your sensors.

Be brave, be brave, the Myan pilot needs no aeroplane.

Do I mind, No?

Nice of you to oblige, and THANK YOU very much!

Ok.. So... So.. there is a campaign that I am interested in helping, Matt Heath Assembly 2014 District 2 CA. What do I do?

Hi Granger

I would be happy to have him on the show if you feel that would be helpful.

Thank you Allison

I know he's putting his campaign in place and I will definately share this invitation with his campaign and hope they are excited as I am. Thank you!

I'd have to recomend pretty much any liberty candidate

Secret bump

for secret purposes....

Be brave, be brave, the Myan pilot needs no aeroplane.

Well, as usual, I don't get it

How do you build trust and attract people to Ron Paul's message.. or maybe DPR has another mesage?.. by attacking..

Who and what are the "right" campaigns?

Is the, "Absolute discretion and confidentiality is required by us and our clients at all times", applying for the job, or is this WalkingLibertyPublishing corporate policy? And how does that work in acheiving sales?

Best wishes on finding the right person bump.

Seems your first question is resolved

The "right" campaigns? Hmmmmmm....well in general that would be the ones "we" support. Let's call that TBD.

Walking Liberty Publishing isn't a corporation, thence no corporate policy. For these purposes it's being used as a simple cutout so as not to drag anybody into anything. And while I'm not privy to all info my impression is that DPR policy is evolving at this time.

The point is that when dealing with campaigns, candidates, other operatives, discretion is always, always utterly mandatory. It's one of the tools of the craft. Which you know already.

Your best wishes are meaningful to us and appreciated. Always.

Be brave, be brave, the Myan pilot needs no aeroplane.

Yes, Thank You Smudge Pot and Walking Liberty Publishing

for resolving my question, and continued BEST WISHES on your constant and abundant success!

this is my application. I have no experience.. I'm even willing to ignore the email you asked me to send this to.. thats how good i am at following orders.. but heres a bump in case there is someone who might actually be good at the job, and would like to give it a try...

With qualifications like those Repo?

I really don't see how you could lose.
