...I hit the 2 Year "watermark" of membership here.

I've certainly read some informative articles, and experienced the humility of being "conned" by some here.
Seen some come and go...some quietly into the night..and others with much fanfare and spectacular posting.

As of late, I've noticed many new "user-names", and I remember how back some time ago the "protocol" of that occurrence went; they would introduce themselves...get advice from "seasoned" DPers.

How many of those "seasoned DPers" are still with us today?
I'd love to hear from you all....the seasoned.... and the newcomers.

I'd also like to convey this:
THANK YOU Mike Nystrom.
It's good to see you participating here. Even though it hasn't been easy for you lately. I am in a similar situation, and almost missed my "anniversary", due to the circumstances.
And THANK YOU to ALL you DPers out there...it's been a trip.

Step one is wake up. Step two is catch up.

There is no step three. We are in a constant state of keeping up with Liberty. So grab onto the Liberty Bus. Ron Paul is at the wheel. This bus only goes in one direction, straight forward.

2 cheers for your 2 years

Probably only you will remember this and get it,

that's okay because it's for you Danton :)

Thank you Danton

I appreciate your note. It cheered me up this morning.

I wish I could say some more, but the thoughts your brought up remain in a proto-language phase, swirling, waiting for the right time to be born into words. There is a lot of those proto-language thoughts / feelings / emotions swirling around.

Shortly, I will reach my three year anniversary without a cigarette! We're coming up on a new year. For me that always means a time of reflection, and planning for the new one.

Thank you Danton, for being a part of the Daily Paul.

I'm so glad for your three year anniversary.

Addictions may be the most basic form of slavery, one that folks burden their very own selves with. I hope you are enjoying your new-found liberty, and may this precede a lifetime of discovering true liberty in many more ways.

Congrats on your two years

It is amazing how the time has gone by so fast here on the DP.

Two POTUS elections cycles, filled with fraud and corruption, has a way of passing the time.

Liberty = Responsibility

It's a great place to come and refresh your drive for change, and/or to remind yourself as to why you do things much differently than those around you. I may go a year without posting anything on here, but I normally check in at least once a week to see if there is anything new out there. I also check in if there is a big story, just to make sure it has been posted for all to see. Of course I am happy to report that 99.99% of the time someone has caught it and brought it up for the DP users. I occasionally drop a bomb if someone is making hateful and hurtful remarks to someone based solely on things that have nothing to do with the mission of the DP. For example, saying nasty things to people for simply having a faith in God, or not having a faith in God. Either way, the DP and the liberty movement in general, is for everyone of all colors, faiths, creeds, etc... It is when these hate filled anti-theist take over the DP that I normally disappear for several months to a year. If we can't respect each others difference, then how in the world can we work together to bring freedom and liberty to all? Have fun, learn from it, but always realize that we need everyone involved, not just clones of you and your beliefs. Take care!

depends on what you mean

by seasoned. people have come to this site in waves, mostly 6 years ago and 2ish years ago during Ron's presidential run, and some have stayed active. like i hit my 2yr mark a few months ago but that's just when i started paying dues.

Still checking in regularly, don't post a lot, but drop a bomb, correction or quip when I need to. ;-)

In Just 16 Minutes, The Countdown Will End

...and another DP Birthday or Anniversary will come to an end....

Thank You to all who saw fit to convey greetings and share the moment with me.
It has been a pleasant moment in an otherwise sorrowful day that finds me praying and preparing for a funeral for a dying loved one.

a stolen moment...a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day.

God bless you ALL.....and don't forget to express your love to those you care about.

If I'm not here I guess you know what I'll be doing...where I will be....so THANK YOU....speak again soon.

Prayers going out to your loved one for a peaceful

crossing, surrounded by love.

The loss of someone we love is always difficult for us, particularly during the holiday season. I feel your pain. So sad. Christmases will never be quite the same, as "Everything CHANGED". Heartfelt condolences to you, Danton.

I'm sorry for your loss

I hope that getting together with family and friends can help the healing process. Words tend to be woefully inadequate; you're in my thoughts and prayers.

And happy birthday; I'm just past my 1.5 anniversary myself.

I love you. I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you.

I just realized I...

I just realized that I have been here for over 6 years now. 6y3d today for me. Where has the time gone?

It's a party!! Congratulations merlin4rp!!! Wow so many 6 years and twos.. turning out to be a really nice celebration thread! (I'm so happy I'll even include the 1 and a half year old below.. 'cause garnet posts some pretty cool things anyways.

BELATED B'Day Wishes, Merlin!

...6 Years and 3 Days? WOW!
Your first OP"
"You're Not Going To Win" prompted me to scan the pages of the comments section...all the personalities, and still members?

It certainly would be nice to see them posting here again.
It was somewhat different then...a young Daily Paul.

The commentaries were well-mannered and considerate.

Have we changed?...Opinion is welcomed, and encouraged.
And again...Happy Anniversary...Happy Birthday to you and all who may be re-checking their profile listings!

Hello Garnet

..your humility is inspiring:
"Please Don't Yell at Me".....inspired some good commentary.
I don't watch "regularly" re;TV but do enjoy it from time to time.
And your "article" illustrates the "big-tent-philosophy" of this "membership"....we are a garden-variety of patriots, and must never forget that.
Although some will state that they never watch TV or don't own one...I wonder; are they just trying to be "cool"? LOL!
Ron Johnson had a nice comment:
"In times of tyranny, art is a way of attacking the government with ideas..."
If nobody ever welcomed you....WELCOME!
Thanks for your input, and honesty.

thank you~

I see by some comments that you're facing a loss.. Sending hopes for all good things to get you through.

Had not realised

how long I have been here till I just checked.

6 Years, 1 Day, 20 Hours?

Congratulations ARE in order my friend.
I had almost missed it myself...having checked last week when another 2 Year Post was "published".

Perhaps it's posts like this that prompt us to double-check our "birth-date" here at the DP.
If that's true, then I only hope that I have in some small way contributed towards that.
Many more to ya! Congratulations!

Happy SIX Years on DP Anniversary SameCoin

Who knew that two years ago today, Daily paul would have it's own radio program? That's kinda like a nice thing for you, Danton and Trux!

A Momentous Occasion, Granger..

...to say the least.
It will serve as a "bookmark" in my memory.
Thank You for mentioning that.
(I am lost without a good radio show...always got the radio on LOL!)

I've been here for a couple few eh....

Over 5 years on DP.

Still love it!

C4RP: Impressive!

I am always amazed at the ability of DPers, such as yourself, to compile and share info that most would not ever see or imagine.

THAT was quite a post...and one of the reasons why people like myself keep coming back...and being able to say that we've been here for "the duration", and will, in all probability, be here as long as there's a Daily Paul.
Thanks so much for your commentary.

To All Who Are Reading This:
Please Comment....I'd Love to hear from you!
What has the DP been to you???? What has this movement meant to you?

Happy Birthday

Just realized I'm a little over 2 now also.
What has has the movement meant to me? Well, it's been my life. No.... really though. I was born in '85 and my Dad voted Ron Paul '88 and my life has been centered around listening to him talk about freedom and liberty for all.
Sometimes I joke around with him and say I had freedom forced on me lol

The Dailypaul has been my cultural and musical playground for some time now and I use it for very different purposes than most people, but I am ever grateful that it is here for my use.

Happy birthday to you Danton.

Thank You JRD

...for sharing that with me and the rest of us here.
How wonderful to have a Dad so informed and able to inspire the same in yourself....truly a great legacy to be proud of.

Didn't Dr.Paul mention that music is essential for a movement to succeed?....that's so true!
Keep up the good work and give your Dad regards from another "oldtimer".
