Judge Andrew Napolitano 2016 Draft Gains Momentum

Supporters looking to draft Judge Andrew Napolitano to run for the Republican presidential nomination in 2016 are claiming momentum.

Over the weekend, Larry Hunter from the"'Draft Andrew Napolitano For President" committee insisted the effort he helps lead was making progress.

“We are focused on convincing the judge the support is there to make a run,” Hunter emailed supporters. “And the numbers are making the case. We added 100,000 fans on Facebook in just the last three months – taking us from 30,000 to more than 130,000. That’s quite an influx of support.”

Hunter is aiming high, looking to get 1 million supporters by the elections in November.

I would love to see both the Judge and Rand in the debates

however I think one would have to drop out prior to the actual primary / caucus . The liberty vote would be diluted otherwise and the establishment neocon or rino would benefit.

Rand Paul / Napolitano

Rand Paul / Napolitano ticket?

No Way

He should run, very seriously, in the Republican primary. He should absolutely aim to be Ron Paul 2.0.

He should pledge the whole time that while he is in fact 'in it to win it' he also will not bend any principles just to gain office. He can say that he doesn't expect to win, but certainly would want to win, but that his job is to stand up for principles and in the process educate.

He should admit from the beginning that if he loses he will take his campaign funds and apply them to a candidate he does support or to a cause he supports. In other words, in no way whatsoever would his candidacy have anything to do with him personally.

IN FACT! One of his key talking points should be about the over inflated prestige about power of the American Presidency. As president 1)It wouldn't be about him 2)He would follow the constitution and honestly defer to Congress for a lot of policy.

He should state that his intent is to be 'boring'. That US Presidents used to campaign on their porches. The opposite of Obama, no hope and changed promised. Just honest, decent, good government. He's against Obamacare but if he was president and had to execute such a law he'd at least make damn sure the frickin website at least works. That sort of president, a competent, quite, modest one.

His presidential run could educate on the differences between Coolidge and TR. He could actually challenge the Lincoln myth.

Yes, his run should be not just about liberty but about educating the public concerning the proper role of the presidency itself!!! He seems like just the guy to do so from just the right angle.

And when he loses (actually, who knows?) he can support Rand Paul or something.

I'm just afraid

the judge is sick. Perhaps he is on a diet but he seems to have lost a lot of weight and looks gaunt. Anyone else notice that?

I agree

He looks deathly ill. His rapid weight loss reminds me of someone who has had major organ damage.
We need to appreciate the job he does now, for as long as he does it.
He is a great prophet, not a politician. Only Ron Paul can be Ron Paul.
Let the judge be the judge.

Pro-Life, pro-family, pro-freedom, pro-worker, pro Ron Paul

I believe he's trying the paleo

or gluten free diet.

There's that book 'Wheat-belly' or something. I'm not sure if the weight-loss and all that low carb stuff is exactly healthy, but I'm fairly certain the judge's weight loss is entirely on purpose!

So, no hidden illness, in fact, congrats to him!

He'd be great...

But I think we need to run two strong liberty candidates in all 50 states, fully expecting one to loose the long game. One of them will be able to pull ahead, then during the convention we can have the candidate with the least votes give them to our frontrunner. ;)

I think it's the only possibility.

I've aways thought having two

I've aways thought having two libertarian republicans running would be great during the debates....then right before Iowa one drops out and endorses tbe other liberty candidate.

We can use them to bully the competition during the debates and manipulate the narrative.

There's Absolutely No Need To "Bully" and/or "Manipulate"

When you have truth on your side, there's no need to resort to such things.

Dr. Ben Carson

I just got a mailer asking me to indicate my support for Dr. Ben Carson to run for President. Based on what I know about him so far, I would support him if he did.

However, Judge Napolitano is without question the best man to put in office to turn this country back toward constitutional government.

The mailer did assert that Dr. Carson would get 40% of the Black vote and this would almost guarantee a win.

There is a certain appeal in that argument. At the same time, I feel that a Napolitano candidacy would face many challenges. The country is brain dead as far as the Constitution goes. Would the voters really vote for someone who promises to work toward restoring constitutional government?

If Napolitano runs, I will at least be able to vote for someone rather than not vote at all.

I will NEVER support carson.

He is WEAK on 2ndA. When it comes to Bill of Rights, there is NO room for margin of error.

This is the Daily Paul. It should be instinctive and automatic that EVERYBODY here FULLY VET the candidates prior to declaring support!

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul

This is my candidate right here

Judge would be my #1 choice to run.

I totally support this effort.

I think it would be a good thing for the country

Ron Paul's campaigns were great, partly because they were, at heart, apolitical. They were philisophical, in the best, and most world-changingly actionable sense of the word.

Who else of Naps level of noteriety is likely to run an apolitical campaign in '16? Something bigger than, and clearly apart from, the dying, horse race politics of the newspaper era?

I Am over government and elections altogether...

thanks to this video.

Go Judge!!!

Judge Napolitano is the only person besides Ron Paul I think is qualified to be President of the USA.

He's the best candidate as far as I can tell too. There may be better candidates, certainly, but none I know of that will have a chance of pushing through the inevitable media blackouts and misinformation campaigns.
