I Will NEVER Support Ben Carson For President!

He is WEAK on 2ndA.

This is the Daily Paul. It should be instinctive and automatic to FULLY VET ALL candidates who may be considered!

GRRRRRR.

And...this post is where you lost me.

While I understand getting irritated at being compared to a Clinton/Obama gun-control advocate, your response here pretty much gave me the indication that you are leaning in that direction. Spewing out redneck 'Murica cliches is primarily the domain of left-of-center establishment types, save maybe if someone is dealing with an outright Neo-con talking about how great it is to blow up brown people (this ideology cuts against strong 2nd Amendment support because it vests greater might in the government).

You might want to reassess your tactics here.

I'm humbled...

and it actually feels pretty good. Call it therapy. I didn't think I had it in me. :D

I've never used redneck clichés in mockery or any context actually. I was beginning to feel like an alien. Leftists aren't the only folks to use redneck mockery. Many liberty-minded folks have used it right here at the DP in mocking those who lean toward the neocon bewitchery, "Gotsta keeell me a moosleem!" Yes, you pegged it. I admit to falling to a similar degree of frustration with those so emotionally chastised by even a hint of perceived threat to the Second Amendment that they close off to rational discourse.

Yes, I believe in gun control. I believe that those who wield guns should be skilled at their control. I believe in dog control too. If your dog is digging up my garden, I might shoot it. More likely I'll grab it, take it to your door and say, "Hey, learn how to control your dog or give it up for a cat!" ;)

I know where you are coming from

Hey John, I hear you and agree with you as I believe I know what you are saying and what you mean.

I got in a heap of hot water here about an open carry issue, when I said, sure it's your right if you want to open carry, but you need to realize somebody seeing you open carrying and they don't know who you, they are probably going to call the cops, then you have to deal with the cops. If you want to prove your point about open carry and the right to do so, fine. That's why I carry concealed.

Always banter going on here, which is good I guess.

People who call the cops over

People who call the cops over a holstered firearm are literally insane.

I carry everywhere I legally can, and it has never happened.

I admire your sober grip on reality...

and your emotionally unclouded approach to discourse.

I may add to this comment if I find time to stretch the topic.
It feels like a mighty big can of worms though, at the moment.

True!

While I appreciate much of what he has to say, anyone who doesn't support the second amendment does NOT deserve consideration as a presidential candidate. Allowing incrementalism and side stepping of our rights has gotten us into the mess we are now in.
