Its premise is DEAD wrong

government does not exist to provide a service...Anyone care to discuss?

When I boil it down it, the definition of "providing a service" is just an arguing semantics debate. I personally would just agree to providing a service definition and attack/defend what that service should be.

Because one thing is for sure.. I vehemently disagree with one thing in the video.
That is the service provided by the government should definitely NOT be to be safe and stable. That falls waaaaaaay too close to Too Big To Fail for me.
The third time that was mentioned I stopped watching the video.

Do you care to hear

how the premise is dead wrong? In a non semantic way. In a very real and substantial way.

Certainly :) Plz do enlighten

Certainly :)
Plz do enlighten me I'm all ears (:

I would love to hear what you think, including your critiques and challenges:)
This is where you can find the remaining 3rd of the proof:

Government: The Apex Predator
· Government is the prevailing military entity that occupies society in order to control and extract society's wealth. It's composed of the legislature and the people it employs to impose it's will.
· Government empowers itself to initiate nonconsensual harm with legal impunity. This power is derived from brute force.
· Government empowers itself to take EVERYTHING from society, including one's life, and has no obligation to provide anything to society.
· Government has no obligation to obey the individual or even the whole of society, however the individual must obey government.
· Government is not exercising delegated authority when it initiates unconsensual harm, because no individual which composes society or government possesses such authority.
· Governmental power is not derived from consent because any power derived from consent is extinguished when consent is withdrawn.
· Government confiscates property from unwilling individuals and is not obligated to provide any services in return.
· Government is not law, services, or infrastructure. Government merely pays for these with confiscated wealth in order to garner dependence, obedience, and loyalty.
· Governments compete and cooperate with each other for resources, and they consider societies to be resources.
· If government loses legal impunity to initiate nonconsensual harm, then it loses its power to govern, and ceases to be government.

Governmental power is irresistible bait for those who crave dominance. Once in control, they lay hands directly upon the individual, mandate how the individual may use one's property, dictate the terms of transactions, and grant privileges to those it prefers.

Fascism/Corporatism/Socialism vs The Free Individual:
· Governments charter corporations and clothe them with limited liability protection (which is a degree of the government’s power to harm with impunity.)
· Governments argue the free market is too strict and therefor it must shield companies from loss and liability by subsidizing and legalizing degrees of harm so the economy can operate smoothly and innovations can be brought to society.
· A Free Society has the strictest regulations because all who initiate harm are fully liable to those they harm. And those who don't produce valued work product at a sustainable rate fail.
· Licensing and regulations are designed to increase the market share for those who comply by harming/criminalizing those who don't comply (both buyer and seller).
· When a capitalist uses government power he ceases to be a capitalist and becomes either a fascist or a communist.

Free individuals do not have rulers with the power to micromanage their daily affairs. They have a judicial system each may use to settle disputes in an orderly and civilized manner and an infrastructure each may use to organize themselves into a defensive force against would be conquerors.

Excellent video

Does anyone after watching this, have a solution?

I have a solution

1st understand that the premise of this video is wrong.
2nd devise and implement an alternative that makes government obsolete.

Not news

“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.”

nicely relevant touch

"We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward."

Aleksandr went a bit over the top with that last sentence, but it was a good read here nonetheless.

I'm not clear as to what you were getting at with the "Not news" heading, but hey, thanks for the Solzhenitsyn!

News = something new = not something repeating

From the day on which an accommodation takes place between England and America, on any other terms than as independent States, I shall date the ruin of this country. a politic minister will study to lull us into security by granting us the full extent of our petitions. The warm sunshine of influence would melt down the virtue which the violence of the storm rendered more firm and unyielding. In a state of tranquillity, wealth, and luxury, our descendants would forget the arts of war and the noble activity and zeal which made their ancestors invincible. Every art of corruption would be employed to loosen the bond of union which renders our resistance formidable. When the spirit of liberty, which now animates our hearts and gives success to our arms, is extinct, our numbers will accelerate our ruin and render us easier victims to tyranny. Ye abandoned minions of an infatuated ministry, if peradventure any should yet remain among us, remember that a Warren and Montgomery are numbered among the dead. Contemplate the mangled bodies of your countrymen, and then say, What should be the reward of such sacrifices? Bid us and our posterity bow the knee, supplicate the friendship, and plow, and sow, and reap, to glut the avarice of the men who have let loose on us the dogs of war to riot in our blood and hunt us from the face of the earth? If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude than the animating contest of freedom--go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen!

Clearness of perception, or accurate perception, leads to right action.

Blind obedience to falsehood without question, on the other hand, leads where it leads.

Society in every state is a blessing, but Government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil; in its worst state an intolerable one: for when we suffer, or are exposed to the same miseries BY A GOVERNMENT, which we might expect in a country WITHOUT GOVERNMENT, our calamity is heightened by reflecting that we furnish the means by which we suffer.

You get what you pay for?

Section 4.
The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned.

If people not joining the march to despotism don't set boundaries then there will be no boundaries?

How clear can it get?

The conclusion, therefore, is, that any government, that can, for a day, enforce its own laws, without appealing to the people, (or to a tribunal fairly representing the people,) for their consent, is, in theory, an absolute government, irresponsible to the people, and can perpetuate its power at pleasure.

I am inspired by the video to agree with the information offered in it.

Clearness, clarity of insight matching outsight

Cool, I was hoping you'd come back with something intersesting!

I didn't simply wait though. After leaving my previous comment I looked back to your heading and pondered, meditated with it for a while. I realeased myself from concern of your intent and had fun with it. I enjoyed it sitting there perched atop the body of your comment and drove it down various roads. My deepest pondering and longest road actually matches quite nicely the notion with which you have returned. Fancy that! :)

...and all the fun links you've provided in doing do

I'm grateful for the playground you've built at my door. I'm sure to have fun as I dig further in the sandbox. :D

Fancy that!

While smiling there is great power in sharing.

I got this from my nephew:

Somewhat overly ambiguous and arrogant, but none-the-less thought provoking and embellished with comic relief?

I am inspired to counter-offer my nephew with this:

Warnings on language?

After those two seriously hearty entrées I think I need
a brief cock-tale to help me relax and digest...

Your headline's crap,

but thanks for the link! :)

The video is well scripted, and viewing it was thoroughly worth my time.
