Army Officer: 'We Will Pry Your Guns From Your Cold, Dead Fingers'

Army Officer: 'We Will Pry Your Guns From Your Cold, Dead Fingers'

Lt. Col. Robert Bateman wants you to turn in your guns.

Infowars.com
December 6, 2013

Bateman thinks Americans should only be armed for hunting.

Lt. Col. Robert Bateman wants you disarmed.

Here’s a snippet out of the Esquire article entitled It’s Time to Talk About Guns and the Supreme Court:
http://www.esquire.com/blogs/politics/bateman-on-guns-120313

1. The only guns permitted will be the following:
a. Smoothbore or Rifled muzzle-loading blackpowder muskets. No 7-11 in history has ever been held up with one of these.
b. Double-barrel breech-loading shotguns. Hunting with these is valid.
c. Bolt-action rifles with a magazine capacity no greater than five rounds. Like I said, hunting is valid. But if you cannot bring down a defenseless deer in under five rounds, then you have no fking reason to be holding a killing tool in the first place.

2. We will pry your gun from your cold, dead, fingers. That is because I am willing to wait until you die, hopefully of natural causes. Guns, except for the three approved categories, cannot be inherited. When you die your weapons must be turned into the local police department, which will then destroy them. (Weapons of historical significance will be de-milled, but may be preserved.)

3. Police departments are no longer allowed to sell or auction weapons used in crimes after the cases have been closed. (That will piss off some cops, since they really need this money. But you know what they need more? Less violence and death. By continuing the process of weapon recirculation, they are only making their jobs — or the jobs of some other cops — harder.)

Fortunately, techology is passing this traitor quickly

sell a gun, print another, repeat

LOL, limitless guns and a steady income.

Dumbass authoritarians will be decimated by technology.

Maybe

One day Libertarians will stop worshiping military members because we all want to pretend they are all good ole "Ron Paul" lover like we paint them out to be. The military is the government largest JOBS PROGRAM that often times take the bottom of the barrel people with no other options left. It's not all country raised choir boys like we choose to believe.

Freedom only exist when you can hold it in your hands, trusting in the military to come to our aid in a time of need is a fool's gambit at best.

Yea good luck with that...

There are more guns tucked away in the us than the rest of the world added together. The same goes for ammunition as well. They've already lost the war, and it hasn't even started. A military conflict in the USA would be an order of magnitude greater in combat force than Afghanistan and Iraq. For the regime, it's really a matter of triage and what small east coast enclave that they want to preserve. It's over. They lose.

yep....

if the British couldn't defeat Washington's rag tag army with no ammo, the US couldn't defeat the little guys in black pajama's in Nam, couldn't defeat the towel heads in Iraq...fighting for nothing, can't even defeat the 6th century cave dwellers in Pipelinestan...or their poppies....then they ain't gonna take millions of angry American's fighting for their freedom and their lives.

I dare anyone, including any

I dare anyone, including any member of the military to try this on me. Someone will end laying on the ground looking like a piece of swiss cheese with heinz ketchup gushing out.

This Is What George W. Bush Thinks Of The Constitution

I don't give a god damn, I'm the President and the Commander-in-Chief. Do it my way. Stop throwing the Constitution in my face, it's just a god damn piece of paper!" ~ George W. Bush

Have fun with that.

These people don't realize the full force of what they're doing.

You pass something this sweeping and blatant, you get civil war. It will make the first one look like a freaking walk in the park; not only will the Union itself fracture - again - you're going to give every single one of the various outraged factions the exact excuse they've been waiting for to get their violence on.

You'll weed out the useless joke militias and leave only the hardcore, dedicated ones, and that won't be fun. You'll polarize the country.

And you will have started it. You'll have fired the first shot, you'll have been the clear aggressor.

For the sake of everyone, I hope they don't do something like this, because if they do this country will -burn-.

You can pry -

Pry this Constitution from my cold, dead fingers.

I'd

like to see you try murderer.

Not if I see you

This is the best comment of thread!

So this guy now lives in London?

Well, he's fucking welcome to stay there!

Love the "gun death" stats. So, now England has fewer gun deaths due to total gun prohibition. Does that mean there is no other means of putting a life to its end? I know this fucktard isn't so stupid as to not pick up on the statistical maneuver, he's just hoping the average Esquire reader is.

Also, I love his "Scalia couldn't figure this out?" thing. The point is, and I think it's lost on a lot of people, that little introduction is supposed to guarantee the right of THE PEOPLE (Individuals, who are the recipients of ALL the rights given in the Bill of Rights) full access to state-of-the-art, full-blown, military grade hardware so that no standing army, be it of foreign or domestic origin, could ever defeat us!

"I ask, sir, what is the militia? It is the whole people. To disarm the people is the best and most effectual way to enslave them." — George Mason, during Virginia's Convention to Ratify the Constitution (1788)

And now a quote from someone our beloved Lt. Col. might identify more readily...

"The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to allow the subjected people to carry arms; history shows that all conquerers who have allowed their subjected people to carry arms have prepared their own fall." -- Adolf Hitler, Edict of March 18, 1938

What an idiot fool

This enemy has taken an oath to uphold the constitution and has violated his oath with his published traitor diatribe.

Somone needs to explain to that goat that my guns are to protect me from him and his veiws. Exactly why does he think he should be armed to attack me but I should not be armed to defend against his attack?

This is typical of the officer corps just a shallow shamless political branch of the puppet government.

So if any of you think that the US Army will not fire upon its own people, please think again.

Unflipping believable that a Army officer thinks that the constitution adressing the right to bear arms is for recreational hunting.

sovereign

One Fine Day

These commie bastards will never quilt trying to take our freedoms. One day there will have to be a reckoning with them.

Correction....

Article 1 Section 8 is clear.
Congress is mandated to provide for a Navy. It is to be maintained, which means it stands.

Armies come and go but a Navy is vital to our sovereignty.

Congress shall make no law

1. to limit the types of defense an individual may use. (these do not apply to the states)

2. to prohibit the inheritance of any property to a beneficiary.

3. to regulate local police.

-Matthew Good

What about the part about no Standing Army?

The Constitution did NOT fund a Standing army, navy, air force. Amazing, isn't it? With 3 super powers (Britain, Spain, & France) floating around the world's seas, you'd think they'd fund an army and navy, but the founding fathers SPECIFICALLY did not.

So, that part about "A Well Regulated Militia, Being Necessary To The Security Of A Free State..." comes into play as just ONE reason, not THE reason for citizens self defense rights under the 2nd. The fact that we now have a State funding the military, does not take away the rights of citizens to self defense by gun, but rather just eliminates one stated reason for the 2nd Amendment in the first place.

But please, by all means, put me down for NO More funding for an army, navy, air force. I am as sure as any founding father that we armed citizens can defend this country. And put me down for getting our troops out of Germany & Korean closing our 700 bases around the world too.

A re-education camp.. awesome

and while we are at it let's make it mandatory for every nonlibertarian to undergo re-education inside camps.

Sociopaths don't like a fair fight.

This Lt. Col has probably been in the military too long and has developed a fetish for killing people less well-armed than himself in the Middle East, so now he wants to go after bigger game here in the U.S.

When you have a group of mercenaries for a military, you shouldn't be surprised when they eventually turn on you, it's exactly what happened to Rome.

“My attitude toward progress has passed from antagonism to boredom. I have long ceased to argue with people who prefer Thursday to Wednesday because it is Thursday.” - G.K. Chesterton

Gee for a guy that's willing to wait

he sure sounds like he can't hardly.

Be brave, be brave, the Myan pilot needs no aeroplane.

Yeah... Uh huh..

Like how they removed weapons from Afghanistan? Iraq? Libya?

I know plenty of gun smiths. This is a losing game Lt. Col. And you fucking know it.

I do not wish to make my fellow countryman my target, but I will do so as defense of my beliefs and my GOD GIVEN RIGHT to self defense.

I care not what illusion you are under, wearing a uniform while you're a hired killer for your masters.

You come after me, or my family and I will end you. I don't care who the hell you are.

He's

an idiot. He thinks more guns in the hands of more good people equals MORE chaos and death. He has it backwards.

He needs to be court martialed and tried for treason.

If he is put to death for aiding and giving comfort to enemies, so be it.

He speaks for only the NWO.

...his arguments don’t live up to that expectation, and rather quickly fall apart with just a superficial analysis.

The Second Amendment only protects a well regulated militia, he argues. “As of 1903,” he maintains, “the ‘militia’ has been known as the National Guard.”

Actually, the resulting United States Code also recognized the “unorganized militia” to include “members of the militia who are not members of the National Guard or the Naval Militia,” but Bateman dismisses that responding to a comment poster that “they are not ‘well regulated’ [and] are therefore not the body considered in the 2nd Amendment as protected.”

There are two problems with Bateman’s assertions in addition to the obvious one that he doesn’t know what the hell he’s talking about: First, as the Subcommittee on the Constitution of the United States Senate Ninety-Seventh Congress documented, “Congress has established the present National Guard under its own power to raise armies, expressly stating that it was not doing so under its power to organize and arm the militia.”
