Do the Math: Guam Snake Project

Two thousand toxic mice dropped on Guam by parachute to kill snakes

http://youtu.be/7Sl7in3oV3w
So,
The drops, including research, cost a total of $1.5 million, with funding coming from the Department of the Interior and the Department of Defense. 2000 dead mice. (2 MILLION snakes)

That's $750 per mouse... for one dead snake. :(

Mice laced with tylenol,

from the sky they fall,
mus musculus, y'all,
furry, white, and small.
The weather doth forecall,
an ophidiocide squall.
Could anything go wrong?
Why, no, not at all.

I like it...

you're the Dr. Seuss of DP!
“Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.”
Cheers!

thanks!

That's quite a compliment. Not sure I can live up to that. Dr. Seuss was quite the character. BTW, his books are not just simple children's books, especially if you are into occult spiritual teachings.

holy crap, the Google indexer works fast

There are only 3 instance of the word "ophidiocide" on the Internet, and this one comes up as #2, only 5 hours after being posted:

https://www.google.com/search?q=ophidiocide

What's more interesting still is that last night I got zero hits on this word. It appears that the indexer created a new entry based on this post and subsequently found the other two entries. So much for my googlewhack attempt :)

offer a bounty

$100 a snake
and you will create a small industry on the island.
but noooooooo... can't do that.

If they are that thick, a

If they are that thick, a bounty of a couple of dollars each would give the teenagers a way to earn some money and kill way more that 2000 smakes.

+1

Ah you beat me to the punch.

We all share this eternally evolving present moment- The past and future only exist as inconsequential mental fabrications.

Lolololol

That's hilarious

Read about that the other day

along with a pay out on rats tails to curb a rat problem (can't remember which country).
The rat problem didn't go away, but there were heaps of tailless rats.

Weren't they concerned about Guam capsizing

if the mice all landed on one side of the island?
