They're pretty damn hard.

My guess is...

It's most likely the sly work of those Washington politicians doing their best to bury some of the national debt.

Better get a BIGGER drill!

That story was boring. (-:

Michael Nystrom's fists can punch through FUD.

That's one of five boring stories I heard today.

Another was from Houston, reporting an increase in required space between gas wells and developed land from 300 to 1,500 ft. "The decision came after years of arguments over well safety, toxic air emissions, gas leasing rights and drillers’ use of hydraulic fracturing, or fracking. Neighborhood groups joined with environmental advocates to press the city for maximum restrictions." It would seem that the people trumped corporations except that the $tated $etback di$tance can be le$$ened by vote$. http://www.dallasnews.com/news/metro/20131211-dallas-new-gas...

Second, in North Dakota, "An oil and gas company is working to wake what it calls a sleeping giant in an area of southern North Dakota far outside of the state’s traditional drilling region." When speaking of super large-scale operations, when everything underground is connected, it's the thought of waking "sleeping giants" that keeps me up nights. http://www.inforum.com/event/article/id/420865/

Then there's the "accelerated" drilling plans for Louisiana & Mississippi, where "the search for crude has already harmed rural roads and left landowners worried about mineral rights and future drinking water." http://www.clarionledger.com/article/20131211/NEWS/131211007/

Fourth, people staged a protest against drillings in Billings. http://billingsgazette.com/news/local/beartooth-drilling-pro...

Also, in the Pgh area, there are "new concerns" over radioactive waste from fracking. http://pittsburgh.cbslocal.com/2013/12/10/marcellus-shale-dr...

All these boring stories are putting me to sleep here...

When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the Universe.

A welcome change

This site gets a little heavy sometimes. It's good to inject some dull into our lives every once in a while.

So you think Bertha is dull? That would explain it.

Michael Nystrom's fists can punch through FUD.

It's THE only explanation!
