Sibel Edmonds exposes Omidyar, PayPal: Implicated in Withheld NSA Documents; William Binney & Russell Tice CONFIRM!

BFP Breaking News- Omidyar’s PayPal Corporation Said To Be Implicated in Withheld NSA Documents
The U.S. Government, An Implicated Billionaire, Fortune-Seeking Journalists & A Public in the Dark

Sibel Edmonds | December 11, 2013

The 50,000-pages of documents obtained by NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden contain extensive documentation of PayPal Corporation’s partnership and cooperation with the National Security Agency (NSA), according to three NSA veterans. To date, no information has been released as to the extent of the working relationship and cooperation between the two entities- NSA and PayPal Corporation. What’s more, the billionaire owner of PayPal Corporation has entered into a $250 Million business partnership with two journalists-Glenn Greenwald and Laura Poitras, a journalist duo who possess the entire cache of evidence provided by Edward Snowden. Despite earlier pledges by the journalists in question, only one percent (1%) of Snowden’s documents has been released.

BFP was recently contacted by a retired NSA official who claims that the documents obtained by NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden contain extensive documentation pertaining to NSA’s partnership with major U.S. financial institutions, including credit card companies and PayPal Corporation. The official, who requested anonymity, also alleges that a deal was made in early June, 2013 between the journalists involved in this recent NSA scandal and U.S. government officials, which was then sealed by secrecy and nondisclosure agreements by all parties involved.

Upon receiving this report BFP contacted three other high-level former NSA officials for additional information and comments.

And, pray tell: what does Omidyar's Quisling buddy/co-founder of PayPal, Max Levchin, think of illegal, UnConstitutional NSA spying? Observe:

Who's Controlling The Snowden Documents and to What Purpose?

Who's Controlling The Snowden Documents and to What Purpose?

Glenn Greenwald has only released 1% of the Snowden documents and those were approved and released after over 100 meetings with US and British intelligence. Some documents are being held back to be released with Greenwald's book. And Greenwald's possession of the documents were the basis of his new $250 million media venture with PayPal's Pierre Omidyar raising ethical questions of checkbook journalism. But even more troubling is the close relationship between the NSA and Omidyar's PayPal.

Whistleblower Sibel Edmonds of BoilingFrogsPost.com has been publicly asking questions of Greenwald and Snowden to determine the ethics and purpose of the Snowden leaks.

The interview was mainly prompted by this post:

Mr. Snowden, It’s Time to Come Out and Take a Stand Publicly as to Your Intentions

Sibel Edmonds | December 15, 2013

When It Comes to Whistleblowing, Integrity & Purity of Intentions Matter Most

A week ago I began writing a series of commentaries on significant consequences and conflicts of interest associated with Glenn Greenwald, his new PayPal billionaire boss, and the ownership and commoditization of the 50,000-page incriminating documents obtained and released by NSA’s Edward Snowden. In my series I solely focused on serious ethical questions and consequential conflicts of interest matters that have remained unasked and unanswered with regards to the recent joint venture between Greenwald and Omidyar, dubious and lucrative book and movie deals with mainstream corporations under the premise of exclusive document release, and our government’s sudden and unexplained change in its stand and modus operandi.

Up to this point I have left the topic of Mr. Edward Snowden pretty much untouched, and here is why.

To date, after six months of intense and nonstop mainstream media coverage of the Snowden-NSA topic, very little is known about Mr. Snowden himself, and this includes his real intentions and objectives, the nature and details of his deals and agreements with members of the press-including those made with Glenn Greenwald, and his position on the latest developments, which include the exclusive business deal struck between Greenwald and billionaire Omidyar, million dollar book and movie deals made based on exclusive publication of some of the leaked documents, and the highly mysterious change of position in the government’s stand and response in the midst of all the publicity and commoditization of the controversial leaked NSA cache.

What about the connections between PayPal, the CIA and the data mining company they founded — Palantir? Is PayPal owner Pierre Omidyar an altruistic billionaire who cares deeply about investigative journalism or did he work with US government to financially strangle WikiLeaks and prosecute the PayPal14? Is Omidyar’s new journalism company a move by the CIA and globalist banksters like PayPal to co-opt authentic journalism and control public debate about the NSA?

'NSA's goal is elimination of privacy worldwide' - Greenwald to EU (FULL SPEECH)

Published on Dec 18, 2013

The NSA's ultimate goal is to destroy individual privacy worldwide, working with its UK sidekick GCHQ, journalist Glenn Greenwald warned an EU inquiry, adding that they were far ahead of their rivals in their "ability to destroy privacy." READ MORE: http://on.rt.com/dgt0n5

UPDATE 3: Sibel discussed the situation further today, with James Corbett and Guillermo Jimenez of TracesOfReality.com

According to Sibel, her particular point of contention were further compounded by the fact that in all of Glenn Greenwald's excellent past coverage and exposé on the "State's Secrets Privilege," he apparently intentionally ONLY cited Muslims, but NOT ONE American who were gagged in the last two decades under the national security letters: two CIA whistleblowers and Sibel herself, the "most gagged woman in US history," precisely because according to her contact in Rep. Henry Waxman's office, they impressed upon Glenn to only cite those who were gagged with "Muslim names," because "American-sounding names" would prompt more sympathy, thus leading the public to pressure CONgress for actual meaningful reforms; oh, boo boo: the Mordor on the Potomac devil critters "didn't want to be pressured," apparently! xD

But even worse, when she contacted GG as to why, he responded with "Go away, bitch!" (anyone follow his Twitter? Yup. That is precisely how he's been known to respond, to his critics) and furthermore, Russell Tice, THE other NSA whistleblower whom Sibel holds in high regard, told Sibel that he's kept EVERY SINGLE EMAIL that he sent to Glenn Greenwald since 2005, and Tice told Sibel that Glenn has flat out REFUSED to cover Tice's case, PERIOD. IF true, the plot thickens... dan dan dan:

Peter Thiel Palantir Bilderburg

Unfortunately, it's not the first time this massive ambiguity surrounding Peter Thiel's Palantir-Bilderburg connection has come up.

I don't see any evidence of Ron Paul ever getting any money directly from Palantir. It's the presence of shady ambiguous Bilderbergers or pseudo-libertarians like Peter Thiel, Omidyar around Palantir that's clouds up whole situation.

I would love to hear directly from Ron Paul's mouth what he thinks about Palantir-CIA-NSA issue. Has he spoken about it yet on his channel? If not, now would be the best time for him to clear air on his feelings about Palantir once & for all.

Immoral funding of Military Industrial Complex by Federal Reserve and US taxation system must stop!!!! End illegal/unconstitutional wars! Preserve US currency!

Palantir, Peter and Pierre are guilty...

Palantir, Peter Thiel and Pierre are guilty as charged.

The Palantir scam exposed

They need to get this evidence to Sibel Edmonds and the rest of the media right away, then just expose this sham before Pierre's pals try to rail road CISPA through the back door.

Nothing about this story seems true.

Nothing about this story seems true. Binney and Tice confirmed what everyone already knew, that the government has intricate access to financial services companies such as PayPal. How is this news?

There's no evidence Glenn is withholding any documents implicating PayPal. He certainly never made any deal with the government. There's no need to attack him.

Pierre should be scrutinized but he's a billionaire, he's the one with the cash to bankroll the operation. If you think it's some controlled opposition play or effort to protect PayPal, well that's highly speculative, illogical and lacks any evidence.

Check out http://ronpaulforums.com for activism and news.

Typical overly educated liberal socialist college idiots response. He has NO common sense! I fear unchecked power of the Government more than any terrorist idiot.

I think at minimum, we'll see Greenwald distance himself from...

I believe at minimum, we'll see Greenwald openly distance himself from this business venture once it's unraveled as to what's going on here. I am sure he will defend Pierre only for a brief time: once this stuff is exposed, there's no way he'll touch it again.

I also believe he was conned by Pierre, most likely with pie in the sky type visions. Pierre is a very seductive person and to be honest, it really sounds like he doesn't even know what Palantir technology does. On the whole Pierre is too wealthy to just trust what he says. I'm equally certain Greenwald will go back to the Guardian or start his own journalism outlet after this mess is settled.

What is the scandal exactly?

What is the scandal exactly? There was no deal made. Pierre is not involved in Palantir, which of course was paid millions of dollars to attempt to destroy Glenn Greenwald's reputation. Although as a whole, Palantir doesn't seem that bad.

Check out http://ronpaulforums.com for activism and news.

The scandal is Palantir, and their official cover up...

What do you mean? The scandal is Palantir Technologies and their official cover up of involvement with Paypal as well as Pierre.

Palantir Technologies along with over 700 other companies are conveniently all "pro-CISPA"...the legislation which replaces current NSA spying regulations, with the regulations of PRISM to be exact. And to provide further proof, look at how Pierre just unabashedly defends CISPA as well as Peter Thiel who used to work at Palantir himself. And what about Max Levchin's ties to Palantir who started PRISM.

After funding these so called "white house" committees on NSA reform, you really believe Pierre isn't involved in Palantir!? Right, I got a bridge to sell you in Norway then. He has to be a shareholder there. He may know nothing about any activities, or could simply be greedy. None the less he absolutely has to have ties to these defense companies, or he wouldn't push CISPA so darn hard.

I disagree

Pierre is the Chairman of eBay, he hasn't run the company in 15+ years. And Pierre is not involved in Palantir.

And why has he funded the Project on Government Oversight, the Sunlight Foundation and the Committee to Project Journalists?

And you really think Scahill, Poitras and Greenwald can be bought or are stupid? Do you really think Greenwald just forgot the fact that Palantir was paid millions to destroy him (contract was canceled) and was tricked by Pierre?

Check out http://ronpaulforums.com for activism and news.

Oh yes, Omidyar Network has been busy

Omidyar Network has certainly been busy, not just setting up Sunlight Foundation. The Omidyar Network has also been busy trading employees with Booz Allen Hamilton, in a revolving door manner that is just beyond the pale.

I hope you realize people are that dumb and money talks especially to Greenwald. Whether Omidyar had admit to it or not, he has received financially from companies like Booz-Allen Hamilton directly through Omidyar Network. That at minimum proves his philanthropy has alterior motives, and I'm not going to believe his crusade for integrity is just innocent charity work.

None of the the 3 sources in the BFP article confirm the so called agreement between Greenwald and the NSA.

They merely say if one were to exist in their opinion such an agreement would not sit well with them on a personal level.

Opinion is not fact, opinion is not evidence. Show me the agreement instead of tabloid innuendo.

PayPal NSA coverup

Immoral funding of Military Industrial Complex by Federal Reserve and US taxation system must stop!!!! End illegal/unconstitutional wars! Preserve US currency!

Palantir seems to be the source, to bring them under PRISM...

Palantir and even General Electric seem to be part of the NSA black box project, Project PRISM.

So the whole thing looks and smells like it was designed to bring everybody under the PRISM umbrella, which is far worse by any one's imagination. In fact with PRISM we don't even know who is funding it.

This can't be glossed over either, with PRISM recently being a major feature article in Wired magazine. On top of that there is PRISM's unconstitutional spying disclosures, and their ties to CISPA a new legislation attempt to hand over all our data to defense firms and tech companies like Northrup Gruman....

Simply put, this kid is just

Simply put, this kid is just an inexperienced geek that made some money from grit and luck. So does his opinion count? I'd say NO! Will it count in the future? Sure if he can step out of the bubble for more than a few minutes and experience the real world.

One final word, anyone to say "I wanted to work for the NSA...." is not an opinion I hold high. This tells me they probably watched too much TV when they were young....

I Look Forward

I look forward to the first hard-hitting investigative journalism operation totally operated by volunteers wholly gratis.

Although, I will not hold my breath. True investigative reporting REQUIRES money, for travel, research, lawyers, lodging, getting to sources, etc.

What Mr. Snowden has accomplished in partnership with Mr. Greenwald is absolutely without equal, the most courageous act of 2013, so what if he profits? Reporters gotta eat too.

Let us view the positive from the particular instance of getting these documents to the public. Doing so does not equate to "Approving" or "supporting" every life choice or business decision made by the players, and to attempt to link them as such is pure logical fallacy.

Journalists have a civic laden duty to do their due dilligence.

It doesn't matter whether Greenwald was unsuspecting or believed he was really doing a good thing for Alternative media, it still was wrong for him to jump into this business partnership without thinking. Or have you not heard the phrase "the road to hell is paved with the best intentions" before?

Yes, it appeared on the surface to be a great opportunity. And what better fuel for all Alternative Media journalism, then to have an incredibly lucrative $250 million investment to fight back against the entrenched mainstream media?

However, history has taught us such things are folly and normally never what they appear to be at first glance. Mr. Greenwald had a fiduciary duty, for his own sake, to check the background of these characters he was going into business with. After all if they were really clean slate people, Tom Woods and the rest wouldn't cry foul would they?

I have gotten roped into things before. I'm no slouch to financial glory and investments. Being paid thousands of dollars by InboxDollars, I wouldn't object to that corporation opening up a Journalism Outlet that helps fight the powers that be. If they were willing and open to it, I welcome the offers. However, I'm also no longer stupid enough to cash a large check someone writes in my name: As almost always those checks can not only be phony, they also come with nasty little strings attached to. There might be "some" billionaires who are against the powers that be, yet certainly not very many to start with. After all I also received payments from Sir Richard Branson's venture, however I did so after checking out the players involved in the venture and in fact I investigate every company I work with now. Not to say there is anything wrong here, yet I also walked away from that venture uninterested in knowing any details.

As journalists, they are duty bound to their readers to simply vet the backgrounds of any approaching business partnerships. Because quite frankly we live in a world that requires one have due dilligence nowadays...and in journalism, don't believe that the Ben Swanns need not have their feet held to the fire. I'm sure even Swann has been tempted by Bitcoins before, but certainly the dangers of such things can't be swept aside. Central control of any currency breeds more of the same bad influence, and that alone proves we need to have decentralized currency including decentralized e-currency in the equation.

If you are so

If you are so concerned with his motivations, then expose them with documented hard primary source evidence.

The enemy is not the private actions of HOW we received the information, the enemy is the STATE.

For me, the personal actions of private individuals is far less of a concern than a police-STATE that would make the East German Stasi wet their pants.

But if you feel so strongly about such a position, I would be happy to hear you lay out your position, in toto on the show.

Don't be preposterous, there's no motives here...

There is no motives here.
None are needed to explain Greenwald's actions, either.

I would have done a similar thing, if I had been in his position and just hastily in a rush to get to a better place. In fact, the whole ordeal reeks of this golden opportunity. However, there is hard evidence that shows there was nothing golden or enlightening about this opportunity. Pierre isn't some patron saint. He has a highly questionable resume and associations with people that, at minimum turn the public against his proposed ideas.

This is not a court room. I do not presume that Snowden or anyone else knew about Pierre's work with Palantir technologies. Greenwald's open defense of himself seemed to show he is innocent. On the whole, it's likely they knew next to nothing at all.

But that does not change the utter foolishness in ignoring journalistic ethics. There are people funding Sibel Edmonds BFP website, who I greatly question right now, yet I don't automatically judge Edmonds as guilty that's for certain. The bottom line however, is the establishment has seized on this fake opportunity in order to bring much of the public under the umbrella of something like PRISM. Which is an invasive surveillance outfit over a hundred times worse than NSA, allegedly billed as a substitute. Even if there was nothing wrong with Palantir Corp. at all, the public has every right to reject it and cease the spying period. As "no" spying is highly preferred to "well meaning" spying, and deservedly so.

A lot of folks on here speak

A lot of folks on here speak as though they have detailed knowledge of the personal motivations of people they've never had any direct contact with.

Detailed accounts of what individual politicians, journalists, pundits, religious leaders, activists, Daily Paul users, fugitive hackers, dead hackers, spies, shooting victims and comedians are thinking in their own heads are posted on this web site every few minutes.

So much pure, evidence free speculation. Seizing on any rumor or possible hint as hard evidence of the inevitable vindication of the consensus idea.

Declarations that we should know Snowden, Alex Jones or some other well known individual is actually a dupe or a traitor to the cause. Nobody really convinces anybody else, but it's just so tempting to throw in your 2 cents.

All this flimsy reasoning, this over blowing of the weight of circumstantial evidence, is bad for the Daily Paul conversation.

TV has taught us how to vote personalities off the island

Congress approved and funded the snooping even though it was exposed by GG and ES.

So why do so many want to shoot the messenger on innuendo and circumstance?

I've explained this before; can't recall which reply box, but I actually do, do, editorial updates, however minor, when I type "updated..."

they're not just self-bumps, though sometimes they maybe.D

because I post A LOT (or at least used to), it's just a convenient way for me to remember what I edited, from minor punctuations, to headline changes, to actual links/videos added. and, as you can clearly see in this current thread, I did add the video, AFTERWARDS.

they're my 'recall' markers: it's a self-note reminding me that I 'changed something to this thread.'

and, unfortunately, for whatever reason, the native courier font when typing in the DP text box, ALWAYS visually omits a few things for me. plus, I do have a bad habit of editing constantly; I've had a few complain to me in the past, even when they were trying to reply to me with complimentary comments they weren't able to, because I was 'incessantly editing'/inadvertently locking them out.

regardless, IMO think you're being a bit nit-picky here though, about trivialities, as this is one of those 'you haven't seen/observed/known a particular person's writing habits enough to be familar'-thingy.

never asked you to be familiar with my writing/editing habits, or read, or like my stuff here, but seeing as how you've commented.)

but, no bigs.

It all sounds just like soap opera and innuendo, until this.

It all sounds just like soap opera and mere innuendo, until you look at this. Greenwald either unknowingly or knowingly went into bed with these billionaires, who happen to be financing the official committee on NSA reform. Whether Greenwald or etc. is part of it I really doubt, they are likely just opportunists like Snowden.

Yet ignorance is no excuse and Greenwald ignores things that will damage our rights in the future. As who is sitting in charge of NSA reform and wants to hand over the reigns to outside companies? Cass Sunstein.

And why in the world is Mr. Sunstein involved with PayPal, for that matter what good does it do any of them to hide PayPal's involvement in the affair?

I know many who have been harassed by PayPal, Amazon and even Visa before; but those are just human mistakes. Hardly proof of conspiracy. However, once you hide the role of sinister forces being allegedly "in the front" of doing NSA reform : Then this is no theory now. This is conspiracy, probably to make sure there is no meaningful reform. At least that is logical if Pierre does not want to even discuss this.

And another user posted about comments he left on Pierre's blog, which were blocked more than six separate times even though he said nothing incriminating. This was before Sibel Edmonds even raised a fuss, so basically there has been something odd about Pierre's PayPal relationship for a long time.

PayPal, Amazon and Visa crashed wikileaks' funding drive

Human error comes in threes?

Free includes debt-free!

Good point, there are bad people there...

But that's not proof of conspiracy. Once you bring Sunstein into the picture though, the associations these people have with him are just ridiculous, so now you have quite a conspiracy.

I'm not sure why these retired folks and General Volt etc. thought it would be a great idea to place Sunstein in charge. I do not know how they got put in charge, either. But I can tell you this, if it stays this way we are going to lose more of our privacy when they toss out a fake reform package for the NSA under the disguise of freedom.

Interesting but what type of deal was made? Snowden clearly took way more documents than he could possibly vet, so it's likely that some of them shouldn't be published for legitimate reasons.

But I highly doubt any deal was made, other than showing the government what they plan to publish prior to publishing it.

Pierre's tweet is also ironic and embarrassing but seems to be within the context of what he'd see as "corporate espionage" not defending privacy and rights.

And Max Levchin, as he said, is just blinded by patriotism and doesn't even know the details. Doesn't mean Pierre shares his views.
