these bastards that do this to my family will pay for their actions.

Publicize their names NOW!

Let their wives and their children KNOW what they do at work.

To answer the IDIOT cop that tried to block the filming at the end...HELL YES if it were my grandmother I would want it on tape! That's the ONLY way to stop these stasi-gestapo thugs!

This IDIOT cop KNOWS what just happened was wrong else he wouldn't be blocking the camera's view.

They are corrupt to the core.

I see these

Pre-crime, "Minority Report" assailants are at their best. Bravo, well done...

Have we had enough yet? Where's that line again?

It is one of the essential features of such incompetence that the person so afflicted is incapable of knowing that he is incompetent. To have such knowledge would already be to remedy a good portion of the offense.

William Grigg reports:

Drone Strike

Never mind the drone strikes out in the Middle East that create more "terrorists" than what the Amerikan military expect, this woman is someone's grandmother and in all likelyhood will be vindicated, or avenged, via family and/or friends fed up with state sanctioned violence.

Atleast the videotaped evidence can serve as a reminder to everyone on what "serve and protect" may really means to these people.

on the huffington post

A police officer is back on the job days after video surfaced of him appearing to throw a 70-year-old woman face-first into the ground.

The Florida Times Union reports that Police Chief Matt Doering said Glynn County officer Kevin Jones "acted reasonably" during the Dec. 5 incident that took place in St. Simons Island, Ga.

Depressing comments on Huffington Post

Some of the comments blame the woman, saying it wouldn't have happened if she hadn't been drinking and driving or committing a crime.

God, we are so screwed.

We all want progress, but if you're on the wrong road, progress means doing an about-turn and walking back to the right road; in that case, the man who turns back soonest is the most progressive.

Officer asked "How would you feel if it was you involved, and

somebody was filming..."

Let me make a public announcement:

If I ever find myself in the situation that this lady was involved in and YOU (you out there who are reading this in this forum) happen to be nearby with your cell phone wanting to photograph it, you have MY FULL PERMISSION to make a video.

If I am involved I WANT you to film it.

You can even go up to the officer and say (politely) "Uh... officer that MIGHT be 'jetguy' a guy I know from an online forum. I don't know for sure but I DO know that if its him he WANTS me to video this."

....Might work....

Abolish the whole union order of police

And it all goes away in one night.

My thoughts EXACTLY!

"How would I feel? I'd feel blessed to know there's someone looking out for me when the police is not."

The cop didn't want any video of the incident because he knew how it was going to look. It looks bad, it is bad. It really makes one wonder if they would treat their own mothers or grandmothers with this much force.

Just Police Modesty

They dislike video records of their 'heroic professionalism' lest the public become overly adoring & worshipful. Next thing you know the paparazzi will be following them everywhere. No, they prefer the humble anonymity of selfless, dedicated public service beyond the spotlights & public scrutiny.

MMJ Ministry,

That was brave.
I give you a lot of credit for posting something like this in times like these.
Both the filming and the posting are a significant risk for you. The government is less than appreciative of such actions and you can bet they have been noted.
Good luck to you and yours.

sounds like scare tactic

this is what they want...everybody to be scared and not do the right thing. MMJ, you did the right thing. There's nothing to be afraid of.

She was thrown in a cage...

So as a consequence, the cop should be thrown in a cage. For a month.

Does anyone know her

Does anyone know her condition? Seems that she was injured pretty badly. Any followup info?

Beware the cult of "government"...

Her condition?

Yes. Convicted of DUI and possibly under the influence as we type.

Two sides to consider.....

Not condoning the "slamming", but I'd rather see this than to see a vehicular homicide or motor vehicle crash and then her saying "I'm sorry...." to the victim's family. On the other hand, this should be grounds for written disciplinary actions.

Do you think that if the officers hadn't slammed her head into

concrete - the only other choice would have been to have her drive and kill someone?

She was already arrested. I am pretty sure the arrest could have continued without the slamming of her head into the concrete.

....coulda woulda shoulda needs to be caged! Your kidding, no?

I see what your saying, guilty of a buzz, coulda woulda shoulda needs to be caged!

-Officer: now turn around and put your hands behind your back, you been drinking and right now we're going to take you to the hospital to test your blood alcohol content.........

-Old Lady: but I don't want to, your hurting me, stop doing this, please, please.........

-Officer: now now, we're gonna put you in the back seat right now, ok, alright.

-Old Lady: I resist, and I need to use the bathroom.........

-Officer: Georgia state law no longer requires your consent maim, so your going to have to hold on before we get down there, we're gonna sit you down right now (Old Lady gets stuffed in the back of a cop car)

It happens everyday, all in the name of you guessed it, SAFETY, love your Amerika! Oppress those who dare to drink to much, jail them, fine them, shame them, animalize them, because it's the law!!!!

Fines help pay Retirement Packages in Georgia

There is a huge incentive to fine and arrest people in Georgia. The Sheriff, Probate Judge, and County Clerk all benefit greatly from crime, especially victimless crimes as they outnumber crimes with victims by far.

Crime does pay, when you create a monopoly to enforce thousands of 'laws' that punish people for behavior that does not infringe upon the rights of others.

Weird, just down voted twice.....

That was a bit more harsh of a tone, but come on, I thought it really challenged the pro DUI crowd on here. That brings me to a good question, how in the hell do we have a pro DUI crowd on here. I'll be on troll patrol later this week to catch their character inconsistencies, lol.

kind people rock

Two things to consider....

1) Why do grown "men" need to body-slam a handcuffed little 70 year old lady into the concrete?
2)Why, if this is so preferable, did another cop rush to shut down public observation?

And a third...

3) Would this still be preferable to you if this were a female from your family?

Dude I'm just giving my opinions. If my family member (regardless of age) drove drunk, I'd want them to get a "reality check" before they hurt or killed someone. There are motor vehicle crashes commited by intoxicated people daily. My opinions may not be popular, but until you've been hit by a drunken driver (who drove away), then you might not see things this way. On the other hand, police need to take integrity seriously and "act right". The officer involved should be asked the question "Would this still be preferable to you if this were a female from your family?", not me. It is abuse in my opinion.

I've never been hit by a drunk driver.

...but I have been hit by a sober driver, hard enough to total both of our trucks. His being sober seemed to be of no help.
I feel sorry for the females in your family who get subjected to your "reality checks".
I guess I'm just old fashioned. I was raised with the idea that real men don't beat up women.

Whatever dude... Rant on. Better yet, get off of your butt and visit a busy Emergency Department on any given Friday or Saturday nights to deal with the intoxicated folks after their crashes. Then tell me how wonderful they are as they swing at you, curse at you, spit at you while they're in soft wrist restraints and lay there soiled and stinking until sober enough (low enough serum alcohol levels) to discharge home. And you never hear the words "thank you".

I've hauled many a drunk into the E.R....

A lot of them are quite amusing or even downright funny. It never occurred to me to beat up the women though. And to the contrary, the vast majority thanked me. Meanwhile, you may want to look up the words "Self-Righteous" and "Collectivist-Statist". Maybe if you didn't treat each person you meet like a subject, then you would hear the words "thank you" a little more often.
