Bitcoin Breaks Through 1000 Tulip Barrier on High Volume

Markets in London, New York, and Rotterdam were rocked by record high trades early Monday morning as Bitcoin broke through the psychologically-important 1000 tulip barrier for the first time.

A bitcoin is a secret number between one and a kerjillion that only you and the internet know, and which rewards its owner with goods, services, or tulips if someone else can guess what it is, through a process called mining.

Other markets felt the quake as well, as bitcoin met and passed 200 $5-footlong Subway submarine shop sandwiches, 100 hash brownies, and 1 quadrillionth of a picoliter of antimatter.
