These "short" debates are WORTHLESS

Nobody can cover the points and go into depth like they need to. I mean, the last lady didn't even answer the question about "does she want Law Enforcement to not have guns?"!! The interviewer should have interrupted and zeroed in on that, but the lady just blathered on & on about what SHE felt comfortable talking about.

No, and we also need a DISCUSSION about Tyranny and how it comes about & happens, instead of ONLY gun control "debates" which is not getting to the root cause of all this government "control".

And, finally, they need to have discussions that are DETAILED about these incidents that have happened and talk about the perplexing facts of each case FIRST. It drives me crazy to witness this talk without even discussing these details LIVE & on TV.

Why does Jill Stein bother

Why does Jill Stein bother trying to frame up her language into political language. She's not gonna win anything anyway. Cut the crap

BACKGROUND CHECKS......are bad...here's why

I can tell you from personally talking with Law Enforcement that when they do a BACKGROUND CHECK, your information, your name, your address, and Driver's License is sent to an FBI check base.

They "say" they don't keep the information, but I think we all should know by now NOT TO TRUST THE GOVERNMENT, and especially the FBI.

Background checks will then lead to a database similar to Gun Registration---now, all of a sudden, they will have record that you bought a gun!

PLEASE EDUCATE OTHERS.....even many regular NRA or non-NRA gun owners don't understand this simple fact! Ben needs to understand this, too! He can verify this on his own, but we can't trust these behind-the-curtain FBI people, as they may be forming databases already of WHO has the guns.

Well that was worthless. Ben

Well that was worthless. Ben and Feldman didn't have more than a few seconds to answer, and almost nothing impactful was said.

For starts, what the hell is the point of saying "Gun violence." How about just saying "Violence." Does a victim care wether she was stabbed, beaten or shot to death? How about we contract "Murder" around the world insead of "Gun Murder." Ridiculous.

Anti gun people really make me mad.

What Kind of Society do You want to Have...?

Collectivists always believe they can legislate morality...never ceases to amaze me how they TRUST in government to force on their fellow citizens what they believe is the "right thing".

These so called 'pacifists' who would never touch a gun, will happily use another's gun with it's threat of violence and death, if I do not comply, to take my gun. (government confiscation) Their hypocrisy knows no bounds.

I think the 'boys versus girls' format of this debate was

telling.

Think about it - when a little kid is playing with a toy and hurts himself a mother's first impulse is to take the toy away. A father on the other hand will try to teach the child how to use the toy properly so they don't hurt themselves again.

So the gun violence debate really boils down to paternalism versus maternalism in this sense.

Pandacentricism will be our downfall.

Wow! I didn't even see that, and I'm the one always harping

on how feminism has destroyed our society. Great observation, thanks!

So, in relation to the tyrants in government

We have two mommy's? lol

That is an excellent point,

That is an excellent point, Chris, and harkens to what we seem to be witnessing as hardwired, off topic and emotive responses even in the face of logic. I, on the other hand, was ranched raised girl with older brothers and we grew up shooting. But I can absolutely see what you are expressing here and it helps me to understand the motivation behind the arguments of other women (whom I perceive as delusional) with whom I debate this subject. What hopolophobic women need to really think hard about is this (and I bet others will add to this list):

1. The Police response time in their area. For me in my home in So. Cal. it's 12 mins, plenty of time to murder me, gaffle me up and be heading to Home Depot for the lime, hatchet and shovel. At our No Cal ranch, where we are 1 hour out of town, it would be like...next week! Forget it!

2. Bad guys do not respond to pleading, they thrive on having power over you. And power over you they have - you may not even make it to a phone to call for help. So what are you gonna do in that situation, babe? What about a bad guy pumped up on drugs and/or adrenalin surprising you with the intent on overpowering you? - he probably will. Rarely can a women get away unscathed.

These women also have this idea that the police really can protect them. I blame the news for building this dangerous false meme as they not forthcoming with the truth about the percentage of violent crime that goes unsolved. Those numbers might sober some gals up. Furthermore, the media/government/Hollywood TV Movie propaganda machine all promote this invincible/infallible police force meme that is patently false! The vast majority of violent crimes goes unsolved.

I cannot recall one single instance where a crime (violent or non-violent) has been committed against myself, a family member or a friend where the police have solved the crime. Granted, I know that they do catch some bad guys, but their success ratio is not as high as they would like you to believe nor enough to give me confidence in their ability to protect me that's for sure.

I refuse to be a victim, I choose to protect myself, as is my RIGHT.

You grew up using tools and realize that a gun is just a tool...

like any other farm implement that can take your arm or your life if used incorrectly.

Pandacentricism will be our downfall.

THE root cause of gun violence is the same as the root cause

for all other violence--it's a belief that we are only animals (evolution) and are not accountable to God (atheism) for our actions.

Christians should not be warmongers! http://www.lewrockwell.com/vance/vance87.html

Really?

I believe in GOD, and am deeply spiritual, but I don't rationalize whether or not I will act in a certain manner based upon accountability. My decisions are my free will in action, projecting what I am to the universe and it comes from my heart as an expression of my inherent beingness... of who I am, which is good - not from fear of punishment by GOD. That does not even cross my mind.

2nd Amendment

Read in the introduction and never mentioned again.

[F]orce can only settle questions of power, not of right. - Clyde N. Wilson

Agreed.

I was waiting for Ben to at least get in there about the 2nd amendment being a sort of doomsday provision for a circumstance in which all other rights have failed / have been taken away.

Maybe he stayed away from that on purpose.

That Gunn lady must be freaking out

Feldman not once got to finish his statements

Most everyone else got to complete their time allotted except for Feldman. Even in the end he got one sentence and was cut off....

Richard Feldman is a very cool dude

He'd rather calmly make one point that people will remember than try to squeeze in 15 points that no one will..and even with being cut off I'd say he did a more than decent job at that - he and Ben made for a great team and I hope this won't be the last we see of them together!
