We need to Extend and Olive Branch to Huckabee Supporters NOW

Huckabee is nearly broke. He might well drop out after Florida. Given the way he's been requisitioning so many of our ideas, his supporters should be prime targets for us.

We can gently remind them of Dr. Paul's Christian family values and 51-year marriage, and point out all the areas of "agreement." (Stolen ideas or no, they still agree on a number of issues.)

We should start wooing them NOW, before Huck drops out, so we don't seem like opportunists. Paint it as "underdogs" sticking together. If we make some in-roads here, we may have a shot at Huck's delegates at the convention.

looks like huck is

raising some $$ this quarter...dont know how much he has left, but hes getting some funding, hes hanging with us this quarter-what gives?

What gives is half his

What gives is half his message has some merit. He just goes over the top on some issues that probably are not healthy for America. Even if you take the "god" out of some of his issues, ramming those ideas down the throats of Americans in that way wont ever work. "Too much, too soon."

You can't enforce a good idea. It just has to grow naturally.

Some how the evangelicals forgot that their roots are in farming and fishing.

Humble Patience.

seems...

I don't really know why people (MSM) and perhaps even Huckabee is saying...I don't know...but, he won't just drop... he will attempt the same strategy that RP is doing...hoping for 'no clear leader' and a brokered convention.

And...I Huckabee always keeps coming up (at the last minute....$$$ appears...or so he says)...and he is keeping going.

And, I'm gonna say this again....Huckabee has 38 million baptists at this disposal---and MSM coverage..especially...if he places again in FL...

I do not think Huckabee will drop like the fly people make it out to be.

Watch and see...and remember 38 MILLION baptist and various other
'born again' evangelicals...Hagee-ites, "Purpose Driven" mega-churches etc.

Gee, me and a few other

Gee, me and a few other "crazy people" have been spreading the word of "Love Thy "Enemy"." for some time now.

Think it's time to maybe listen to the "crazy people"?

Good.

That means it's time.

"We" are

I think Huckabee is helping the rEVOLution out here.
Everyone knows he can't afford to go passed "super duper tuesday".
He'll have to drop out, and when he does he'll endorse the one other candidate that is for abolishing the IRS, and possibly will do so on the condition of a VP spot for Ron Paul.

Huck is religious, and I can picture him seeking repentance for his belligerent ways. I can also picture many of his supporters flocking to Ron Paul to support him.

They will NOT go to Romney, Mormons freak them out (no offense)

they....Hucksters

will though, go for McCain...and Huck will endorse McCain too. And, Huck wants to be VP with McCain...that is why Huck doesn't bash McCain...Yet-- or at least last time I looked.

Here is a letter I've been sending out to Pastors...

I agree, with Thompson out and Huck out of money, Paul is the only Socially and Fiscal Conservative Left.

I have a couple of paul pictures that I insert in prime locations as well.....

*****************************
Rev. (insert name),

As presidential elections go, 2008 will rank among the most important and defining in the history of the United States. One question remains, where do most Christians stand? Some of us are decided, but many fiscal and social conservative voters are not really sure where to cast their support.

I ask that you spend a few moments to discover what many consider an American Gem, Congressman RON PAUL. The Mainstream media overlook Dr. PAUL in their GOP analysis, but people on the internet and out in the real world are so very passionate about him. He wins the majority of Straw Polls and his signs are everywhere!

Pastor Chuck Baldwin Endorsing Ron Paul -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c84pJ6E7BYg

Pastors, Economist, College Students, Veterans, Senior Citizens, Conservatives and even Liberals are all rallying around this 72 year old OBGYN Doctor from South Texas who has dedicated his life to delivering babies and defending the US Constitution.

How can a “Longshot” candidate break fundraising records without money from corporate or political lobbyist? How can this purported GOP outsider finish 2nd in Nevada AND Louisiana (behind an uncommitted slate of delegates)? Something is happening across this country and it’s not being covered on TV.

Below are some links I think will shed a greater insight to his message and record. We are not going to agree 100% with any candidate out there but I believe that Dr. Paul is someone who has exemplified the definition of true character, integrity and honesty throughout his career in a field of thieves, bandits and silver-tongue devils.

wonderful letter...but reconsider the name calling after 'career.' Just end it there. Great letter.

Oh...how about adding a link to one of Chuck Baldwin's essays.

Here's what Ron Paul says about Huckabee delegates up for grabs

This is RP from excerpt on Paulunteer. On brokered convention and up for grab delegates for those who drop...

''The path to the convention is twisty, however. When we were in Iowa, we got 10% of the vote. But no delegates were awarded that night. That’s because voters didn’t directly choose national convention delegates; they selected the county and state delegates who will make that decision. And if another candidate like Mike Huckabee is no longer in the race at the time of the state convention in June, his delegates are free to support whomever they want. If we work extra hard, we can convert them into delegates for our campaign!

A similar thing happened in Nevada. We won 14% of the straw poll vote that the media reported on, but what they didn’t tell you was that we may have gotten up to a third of Nevada’s delegates to their county conventions! I always laughed when I heard some people say Nevada didn’t matter. Nevada chooses more delegates to the national convention than South Carolina.

So, while the media will focus on the results from Florida, and probably take down the campaign of my friend Rudy in the process, those results are less important to you and me. Let them fight in Florida while we bring our message to Americans in other areas, like the economically hard-hit state of Maine.

We want to win as many delegates to the Republican National Convention as possible, even if other campaigns don’t see some areas of the country as “important." But in this work, I need your help. Help me get many, many delegates to this historic convention, by these three methods."

Don't expect Huck to release his delegates

He wants to be VP, and will want as many delegates as possible at the convention to demonstrate his electoral strength.

I expect he'll "suspend" campaign operations after Feb 5th until the convention so he doesn't have to release any pledged delegates.

uh....

maybe you better tell RP that ha.

Maybe...

But face it...a lot of the Hucksters are scary people. Deny them Armageddon and you may accuse you of being a witch or a warlock.

Send them to Charles Baldwin

Send them to Charles Baldwin site and see what they say. If nothing, then tell them he was indicted 14 times in AR. If they still are for Huck I don't want them here. They would not be here for the right reasons.

McCian is the best for Dems

Becouse he will lose for sure to every Democrat.

I'm going to think about it first...

... I find his supporters just as annoying as the Mormons in my community.

I don't care if you find me

I don't care if you find me annoying. I am still supporting Dr Paul :)

What's there to think about?

What would Ron want you to do?

i agree
