This kind of report comes out every year about this time!

Here's an excellent breakdown and analysis, parsing the lies and promoting a reasonable reply to this parrot-media mindlessness.

Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and you have the exact measure of the injustice and wrong which will be imposed on them. - Frederick Douglass

Where Is Their Study On The "Health Benefits" of GMOs?

He and his bosses would love to require you to have a prescription for these "ineffective" supplements.

MSM doesn't want me to take multivitamins?

Now if you will excuse me I need to warm up the car and head to the store.

Studies were done

using low dose over the counter synthetic vitamins. They did not use high dose supplements made from whole foods. They also did not use supplements from places like Life Extension, Megafoods, New Chapter, et al. The supplements used were mostly vitamins manufactured by Big Pharma. The real results shows if you take low dose Big Pharma synthetic vitamins they have no effect. Nothing new to learn from these studies except that low dose synthetic vitamins are worthless. I am sure the sheep are throwing away their vitamins today.

BINGO!

I am glad you brought this up. Not all vitamins are created equal and it is important to distinguish between the synthetic garbage and real whole supplements.

We all share this eternally evolving present moment- The past and future only exist as inconsequential mental fabrications.

generalize much?

Yes, let's sweep all the thousands of health supplements into one giant grab-bag of conclusions.

Those who lack the background knowledge to believe this,

will help to prove that Darwin was correct. Only the fit will survive.

"Bend over and grab your ankles" should be etched in stone at the entrance to every government building and every government office.

Vitamin D

is one of big pharma and the greater 'health care' industry's best kept secrets. They, along with their MSM and FDA cohorts, have been propagating a de facto war on sunshine for well over a decade.

Regular exposure of the skin to direct sunlight is essential to human health. The skin is the largest organ of the body and it’s main function as an organ is to convert cholesterol into pro-hormone D; the pro-hormone from which many of the body’s regulatory hormones and neurotransmitters are derived.

Vitamin D deficiency has been implicated in a whole host of diseases and disorders from cancer and diabetes to fibromyalgia and depression. It is estimated that 40% of the U.S. population is vitamin D deficient (probably higher in Canada). Recent research is showing that we may need an average of 5000iu daily for good health.

Metamucil has Vitamin C and is more in line with

...A real substitute. I would drink anything not pharmacy controlled.

In the summer I walk several miles a day wearing clothes

for summer like shorts and a short sleeve top so I get lots of sunshine. Now that it's winter I still walk, but do so bundled up.

I work with a lot of senior citizens and in the past year or so a huge number have been put on 50,000 units of Vitamin D per week.

Recently I went out and bought my own liquid Vitamin D and have been putting the drop of 4000 units on my tongue daily. Whoa....I feel oriented and able to think better and string thoughts together better.

On another note, several seniors have commented lately that they never have been told they have high cholesterol until this year. Now the PTB have lowered the 'acceptable" levels of cholesterol as to what is considered "normal range". Consequently all these seniors are suddenly loaded up with lovastatin, simvastatin, and the like. Some are reporting muscle cramps from it. I know it messes with your liver. I read the PTB want to double the number of people on statins this year. Probably to mess with their livers so that they can be in worse shape than before. (A lot of them have been feeling fine until they got on statins!)

You are right

however, the people being given 50,000 units of vitamin D weekly are mostly being given Rx vitamin D that contains ergocalciferol which is not the biologically active form of the vitamin. Another case of Big Pharma and the Pharma trained doctors ripping off the patients. If they were really doing the right thing they would be giving the active form daily and checking Vitamin D blood levels to make sure the dose is in the therapeutic range.

Statins cause Alzheimers and increases risk of diabetes 50%

Cholesterol levels below 250 are dangerous.

Brain is mostly Cholesterol. Cholesterol is needed to make vitamin D in sunshine, testosterone, estrogen and adrenalin.

I eat four soft-boiled eggs a day, to feed my brain, support vit.D production and keep me horny.

The doctors are using the seniors for an ATM machine, making them sicker so they need more help $$.

They are creating disease not curing it. It's criminal.

Free includes debt-free!

Government has to take it away before it can give it back

Paving the way for Big Pharma to control the massive supplement markets.

I've heard that Big Pharma is buying the vitamin companies.

The creating formulas that don't work to discredit supplementation.

Niacin doesn't help.
Riboflavin doesn't help.

Big pharma peddles bullets.

Proper nutrition uses a shotgun of 90 essential nutrients that work together to provide the things deficient in our food supply.

Cuda, if you took 9 Ultimate selenium a day you could turn your white hair dark and varicose vein will return to normal. Copper is needed to make hair color and connective tissue along with vitamin C.

The Selenium will prevent heart attacks, multiple sclerosis, dementia, and arterial disease. 88 other cofactors speed the process.

Both and spouse and I went from mostly gray back to brunnette in a year. Varicose veins gone.

Crashing and stealing the supplement market is despicable. It is certainly a worries me.

So they poison people for a living

Reject all form of pharmaceuticals, what are you all waiting for.
Only use advil instead.

Then upgrade to vicodin, oxycontin, then morphine

Thank you for the tip

Experts

There are so many on both sides of the argument, we will never learn the truth!

Experts are paid by big pharma

Therefore why should they ever be listened to?

Yup!

Same ones who hate medical cannabis!

There are limitations to multi-vitamins

--Mg in an unabsorbable form because absorbable forms would take up the whole pill.
--Too little Vitamin D because Vitamin D RDA's have long been too low by at least ten-fold.
--Unabsorbable iron because it is taken along with calcium, which inhibits absorption.
--Too infrequent of Vitamin C because once-a-day is just a short spike that is quickly eliminated.
--And that's only talking about supplements that are in the multis, there are many more such as CoQ10 and Omega-3's that have rock solid evidence behind them.

Also, you screen out a lot of people who are of typical health when you eliminate all subjects who have any deficiencies. (I'm assuming they did that from some commentary, but I haven't seen the source text to confirm it, so take it for what it's worth.) Deficiencies are quite common and should be represented.

The problem here is that he's summarily condemning all supplementation when only multi-vitamins were studied. It's about the FDA and AMA's push to more heavily regulate the vitamin industry and cause a prescription to be needed to obtain supplements. Even worse, the media is willingly reporting his condemnation of all supplementation when he clearly states only multi-vitamins were studied.

Defend Liberty!

The science is established, 90 nutrient essential for health.

Rare Earth's Forbidden Cures 1994 by Wallach references 297 peer-reviewed papers in major journals to support this claim.

The research of the last 20 years has substantiated the claim further.

I proved it for myself, and I agree with Wallach.

Free includes debt-free!

There is some truth to that.

There is some truth to that. I distrust synthetic vitamins. The way I understand it, synthetic vitamins are not the actual vitamins but only are supposed to look like them, or mimic them, but might not at all.

I found a company that makes a superfood supplement that gives me a noticeable energy boost all day. It's basically concentrated nutrient-dense food that is minimally processed.

The power of suggestion (intention) may do a lot more for people than most of these vitamin supplements. We need to give ourselves more credit.

Are you willing to share that superfood supplement?

It sounds good. I'm trying to avoid coffee and energy drinks.

Vitamineral Green. I tried

Vitamineral Green.

I tried the cheap Walgreens brand of the same looking powder and it was complete garbage. Tasted bad too.

Cheap-o

Soylent Green knockoff. Made in China no doubt.

Coffee is often the only antioxidant Americans get.

I start my day with coffee and chocolate to boost antioxidant levels.

For energy, eliminate plant oils, take Omega-3 oils and eat butter, lard, beef tallow and chocolate.

Eliminate fried foods, nitrites, and nitrates, they cause inflammation and increase the need for antioxidants to keep the risk of cancer down.
