It Only Took This Army Vet 3 Minutes To Destroy Obama’s Gun Control Plan

If there has ever been a speech that everyone needs to see regarding Obama’s plan to take our guns. This is the one!

In this clip we see an army vet that serves as a police officer speak to the motion to repeal the ‘Safe’ act at the Dutchess County Legislature New York State.

Awesome - This makes me proud to be an American!

His point is one reason I'm an anarchist

Government by design compartmentalizes everything into small chunks that it has a dangerous insulating effect:

- Voters don't have to physically collect taxes they impose on their neighbors.

- Police officers reason they don't make the laws, they just enforce them.

- Prison guards don't witness the wake of destruction to a broken family.

It goes on, and on... When everyone participates it distributes and dilutes the problem. It then becomes conveniently easy to shift blame and obfuscate to a point of not taking any personal responsibility.

If men are good, you don't need government; if men are evil or ambivalent, you don't dare have one.

According to libertarian

According to libertarian code, aiding and abetting any violation of the NAP is still a crime, so saying "I was just following orders" is no defense.

You can't have government without coercion

To illustrate there's a DP post right now about a person who called the cops on their neighbor, for washing a car.

Yes, the cop is certainly the aggressor for "just following orders". Is he to blame? Or, should we blame the person for taking their aggression out on their fellow neighbor by calling the police? Perhaps, its the City's fault for passing such a stupid law?

Reading the comments every time one of these situations occur is like following a pinball game of blame. And this is exactly my point about the nature of government.

The truth is ALL OF THE ABOVE are to blame.

If men are good, you don't need government; if men are evil or ambivalent, you don't dare have one.

Outstanding, except for his

Outstanding, except for his suggestion that soldiers in Iraq or Afghanistan were fighting for the Bill of Rights. They may certainly have enlisted with a goal of defending the Constitution, but that is sadly not what they were doing over there.

He took an Oath to defend the Constitution

Without reservation of any order given, unless he personally new an order was illegal. So in a sense, in his mind, he was.

For the Bill of Rights?

I have yet to find anyone, government, law enforcement, or ordinary peon, who can answer the simple question "What is the US Government trying to accomplish in Iraq and Afghanistan and Pakistan and Libya and gawd-know-where-else? Is there a mission statement? How are we supposed to know if we've 'won?'"

Write me in in 2016: http://rich_grise.tripod.com and I'll fix it. I'll end ALL the wars and fire the entire federal bureaucracy, essentially cutting the FedGov down to Constitutional size, the way our Founding Fathers wrote it.

    Elected Leaders

it is to laugh. Moving speech but unfortunately, killing people and having your friends killed by people because you believe in some hoax concocted by banksters does not give you any more "rights".

Electing leaders is an illusion... you are just choosing which master controls you... then when they do control you, then you complain and say not fair.

Your friends didn't die in a Humvee protecting this country... they died for banksters:

    I'm pretty sure

He knows that. I was in the military also at the time I didn't know much about the world. I learned while I was in and then much more when I came out. You have to keep in mind who he was talking to.

You need to know your crowd well when you speak its why we Libertarians are looked at like a bunch of idiots because we start getting into things of to much depth in the forum for it.

If you are a party and you start having a heated political argument you are the person I'm talking about. I'm not knocking you I've done it myself but you need to check yourself in those situations so you don't hurt the movement.

I down voted you because HE was speaking to the zombies.

We all know what you say here, he wouldn't have made as powerful of a speech to them because it would have gone right over their heads.

Yeah, I saw this the other day, and that part was the only part

I disagreed with. But, he apparently hasn't realized yet what wars really are. Nonetheless, he understands that our own government has now become the enemy. Maybe he'll fully wake up soon.

While I agree with what you

While I agree with what you say, I don't think it helps to attack this man's speech for the errors in it. It would be better, I think, to applaud him for peaking behind the curtain. He himself may very well understand at this point in his life that these wars of aggression are for the wealthy but when he signed up, I'm sure he was not so aware. Once enlisted, he has few choices when put in the heat of things with a weapon and people shooting at him. I'm sure he was fighting for his life at that point and not thinking too much about how he got there. At any rate, I see this man as "friend" in the fight for liberty...

    Beware the cult of "government"...

Sonmi 541: "Truth is singular. Its "versions" are mistruths."

    With all Due Respect ...

you're preaching to the choir...and I have an issue with your criticism of this man and would like to point this out for your consideration:

Regardless of whether he understands the real reason he fought, he went for the reasons he states. He believes it and if men and women like him stand up to the machine with us, and we actually win our rights back, I could careless if he realizes for whom he fought those wars as the outcome will be the same. Liberty and Freedom. He will probably figure out the truth sooner or later as he is starting to see the problem and that is the first step. Do not forget that he is pushing back against the same thing we are,so he is an ally, and a courageous one and for that he should be lauded for his actions.

    Peace, Belle

    1. His rights do trump the rights of the dead...the dead have no rights. He never said his rights exceed any other living person.

    2. He spoke to the reason he fought not the reason for the war.

    3. Lastly, within that situation, how would you handle the subject? He couched his speech within the paradigm that his audience would listen to and understand. If he started off spouting about bankster wars (if he is awake) he would have been immediately tuned out and labeled a CT and many eyes would have rolled very loudly in that room. This way he speaks to all who are listening and for all in this movement to restore freedom.
