Operation Eternal Freedom: (The Story Leading To And Including Jesus' Birth) A Father / Son Mission To Free Us.

From the time the first tyrant, Satan, overthrew the legitimate government of the Garden, the promise of one who would crush the tyrant's head was given. (Genesis 3:15) God the Father, and sometimes the Son (in His glorious, pre-incarnate state) spoke to men concerning the plan to free mankind from the tyranny of evil. One of the clearest words was given to Abraham. Three messengers came to him, he took them in as guests. They told him "You will have a son in your old age!" His wife, Sarai was listening in the background and laughed. When the three guests asked about this, She denied it. But a year later, sure enough, she was with child. When he was born He was named Issac, simply meaning laughter. Abraham was also told that his 'seed' would be a blessing to the whole world.

Isaac was a peace-loving man, and he ended up moving several times to keep peace with his neighbors. God honored his efforts with a 100 fold return for his crops. Much later his grandson, Joseph would be sold as a slave by his brothers, only to become the second-in command to Pharaoh. He ends up testing his brothers when a famine hits their land, forgives them after sincere repentance, and provides food and a place to live during the famine. In Egypt, the family is both blessed and is a blessing. The Egyptians forgot what Joseph had done, however, and began to treat the family with contempt. Yet Messiah would not be Joseph's descendent, but Judah's (of all the brothers! Genesis 49:10)

So the descendents of Issac become slaves to the Egyptians, and God sends Moses to deliver them from Pharaoh's tyrannical rule. They are delivered by God through the leadership of Moses from abject poverty and slavery to live under the rule of just laws. Many miracles preceded their freedom, which are commemorated in the Passover celebration. Moses, a liberator, was like the Messiah. Yet the Messiah would be greater than Moses. Moses delivered from earthly tyrants, the Messiah would deliver us from the whole tyrannical PTB.

The prophets who came later often did not deliver from tyranny, but they did foretell of The Deliverer's coming. Micah predicts he will be One who has always existed, (Micah 5:1 - 2 ) David and Solomon predict he would be the Son of God, (Psalm 2:7 and Proverbs 30:4), Isaiah and Jeremiah both predict the application of God's own name to Him, even from His birth! (Isaiah 9: 5-6 {6-7})(Jeremiah 23: 5-6). Isaiah predicts a virgin birth,(Isaiah 7:14) while Micah predicts his birth in Beth-lechem (Bethlehem) (Micah 5:1-2) David even predicts gifts from the rich, and valuable ones at that!(real money) Psalm 72:10-11). So was delivered the message of the covert operation: Eternal Freedom. It was delivered for all who were willing to read.

Some came from near by. The shepherds who took care of the Temple flocks would be the shepherds who hear the angelic messengers from God on the night He was born. Later, the Wise princes came with their costly gifts. (Matthew 2:11) So the 'covert operation' to restore the just rule of law comes to a climax, The elaborate plan and its details were written in plain language, but were still not always understood by those who read them. We can rejoice that the little baby boy who was born in Bethelehem grew up, and became a victor over Satan, sin and statists.
