Great article on campaign ad spending

"There is no telling what cards the GOP contenders will have left to play post-Florida, and thus far no one is spending beyond the state except for one candidate. As it turns out, a consultant on the Republican side could take a lesson from none other than Rep. Ron Paul. Paul may have just guessed this race correctly. Paul, who has raised a reported war chest exceeding $20 million, has spent, by our analysis, only around $2.5 million on TV ads thus far. The Paul campaign as of yesterday has begun buying in states such as Texas, which hold primaries after Super Tuesday. Paul could outspend his rivals on TV down the stretch of the GOP races, and the way this campaign has gone, who would really be surprised?"

win or lose, President Paul is smart and I can't argue with that.

Tortoise and the Hare!

Ron Paul ran marathons as a young man. He knows how to win races, even with bad knees!

Previous quarter fund-raising totals will inspire more donations

We will soon see the official fund-raising totals for the other candidates. Seeing those paltry numbers for the 'top-tier' candidates will bolster enthusiasm for Ron Paul supporters to donate. Reaching the $8 million goal will be difficult, but I honestly believe that, especially with the new supporters in our ranks, we will see a significant portion of Dr. Paul's request fulfilled. Also, we are at the end of the month and nearing a Friday...big pay-days for most folks. Have faith and keep up the excellent work, everyone!

When does the report come out?

I believe the totals are due to the FEC by January 30

I am not certain, but I believe the Federal Elections Commission requires fund-raising totals to be submitted thirty days after the end of a fiscal quarter. That would be tomorrow (Wednesday, January 30). Previous quarter totals were made to the public a few days later. But, with the FEC being in a state of limbo due to congressional foot-dragging in budgeting, who knows what sort of delays will be in store. I hope someone with more insight can better clarify this.

Frugality wins!

Yep especially that last quote!
But, we MUST keep that going by donating and filling up that Gold meter on the front page.. frankly I'm shocked we have not broken $4M yet.
It is making me very nervous.
