NSA Embedded backdoors: "ENORMOUS Tech Sector Damage": Despite Assurances, there is ONE attacker NONE of these products can fend off -- the United States.

►NSA division called ANT has burrowed its way into nearly all the security architecture made by the major players in the industry including: Dell, Cisco, Juniper, IBM, Western Digital, Seagate, Maxtor and more.

Backdoors

Exist in most proprietary software, either engineered or overlooked, and are to be exploited by those who would have reason to.
So who's watching the front door..
Ever wondered about your favorite brand of anti-virus software?.
When you have a key to the front door, you have the run of the whole house.

Go hunting

...through your computer and it's easy to find traces of sloppy hackers, which presumably have exploited the barn doors the NSA or whomever is leaving open. Not privy to the "gamer" world, but specifically while Norton was supposedly protecting my comp, I consulted an expert about some strange files I found. Turns out, World of Warcraft people have been accessing my comp--or alternatively someone who did access it left WoW bread crumbs by accident.

And yes, there are many articles about NSA (or fusion centers) using WoW to track down criminals who use the chat rooms. Here's a tip NSA... If you want in, just ask. And to any WoW people who "mine for gold" or whatever creep-show you're all about, you're ruining it for all of us. #CanYouNot

Linux and Mozilla products (like Firefox)

I would just like to point out the Mozilla and Linux are generally not listed. Though if the Linux distro is run by one of them, like Google's android, then that's probaly not the best to unplug. KDE Mint and Mozilla products are the way to go for software if you're not an expert.

Hmm. The money carrot and the legal stick. Who resisted?

The Mozilla Foundation was founded by the Netscape-affiliated Mozilla Organization, and is funded almost exclusively by Google Inc.

The funds donated came from money earned through the income provided by Google. While the target of this request were corporations such as Cisco, IBM, HP, and Red Hat (which all sell operating systems containing OpenSSH but have not donated to its continued development before), the Mozilla Foundation found that without OpenSSH, much of the work done by developers would be through insecure and unsafe methods

Just wait until the serious

Just wait until the serious hackers find them.

To climb the mountain, you must believe you can.

Huge business opportunity in the Privacy Industry

When new computer companies arise and begin advertising their new privacy features with no government back door hardware/software, people can begin to vote with their dollars.

Imagine....

It's Battlestar Galactica (2008), the free world, vs. "them", the Cylons.

As Cmdr. Adama said, "We don't allow any computer on this ship to connect to a network."

He apparently had experience with THAT agency, aka they Cylons, before.
