Federal government funded hardcore porn project

The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) has provided nearly $1 million in taxpayer funding since 2010 to “The Popular Romance Project,” an academic program to study the genre of popular romance fiction.

The Project aims to “explore the fascinating, often contradictory origins and influences of popular romance as told in novels, films, comics, advice books, songs, and internet fan fiction, taking a global perspective,” and will culminate with a 2015 documentary called “Love Between the Covers,” a “content-rich website,” an academic symposium, and a “nationwide series of library programs dealing with the past, present, and future of the romance novel.”

Under Obama-appointed former chairman Jim Leach and Obama-appointed acting chairman Carole M. Watson, NEH has given $914,000 to the Project, according to Sen. Tom Coburn’s annual “Wastebook.”

The feds should fund CGI child porn

This would be something they could do that would be a public good. I will assume everyone here knows the actual economic definition of 'public good', if not quick, off to google. I'll wait.

In any case if they spent a mil or so creating a toolset for making CGI child porn they would demolish the market for child snuff outfits.

Pedophiles feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but you really don't want to see children suffering do you? I assume in your strange minds you think they like it.

They don't by the way, but that's here nor there.

Anyway we could save billions on enforcement and thousands of children's lives by publishing software to create CGI child porn.

We'd keep lots of politicians out of jail too.

That may be considered a downside, I know.

We have welfare for everyone else, corporate welfare, war welfare, couch potato welfare..

I call for pedo-fare!

Meant to be funny, but it would seriously save lives. Of course we know saving lives is the last thing the government gives a siht about.

What a complete waste of tax money

What else could they fund to the point of our downfall?
