My day as a FL voter...
I went to the poll this morning to cast my vote for Ron Paul. Today is the first time I've ever voted. There were only 2 sections to vote for in the FL vote. 1 is for the presidential candidate and the other is a vote on the Homestead Act called Amendment 1. Voting only took me about 5 minutes in and out. I used a paper ballot fed into an optical scan machine. I completely forgot to look at the vote count on the machine first. grrrr. It was a painless process and I was actually disappointed that someone didn't give me a balloon for voting or something though I did get a sticker that says "I Voted".
On the way home I stopped at a grocery store to pick up some breakfast items. I stood in the checkout line for a couple minutes. I think voting was actually faster than the grocery store line lol.
As the line started moving again there was a woman behind me who saw the sticker that I had voted. She kindly asked me if she could know who I voted for.
I said, "Sure thing, I voted for Ron Paul." She said, "Oh really" in a half astonished, half inquisitive manner. "I'm a staunch Republican and I'm having a very hard time deciding on who to vote for. Can you tell me why you voted for Ron Paul?" the woman said. I chimed in, "I would be happy to. Ron Paul is the only candidate that has never voted to raise taxes, he voted against the patriot act, and wants to bring our troops home immediately."
Then I asked her, "have you ever heard of the Council on Foreign Relations?" She said she actually was familiar with them. By this time there was a small line forming behind her which was actually listening to our conversation so I said, "The CFR is a somewhat secretive organization that is trying to usher in the NAU, National ID card, and the Amero. Ron Paul is the only candidate that is not a member of the CFR.
She thanked me for my time and I responded, "Sure thing, have a nice morning." I could see from the look on her face that she was impressed with my knowledge not just about Ron Paul but the CFR, NAU, National ID, etc..
Now in hindsight I probably should have mentioned his love of the constitution but I had like 60 seconds to talk about him before I started to hold up the line so I was literally walking and talking my way out of the small store.
So I'm home from voting and hopefully have rallied a few more votes for the man just from talking politics in a grocery store checkout line.

wonderful story
sounds great
Great story. I'll be off to
Great story. I'll be off to vote in a little while and will report back on the process. Go Ron Paul!
Well done
nicely done converting hopefully one more for the cause. It's all a matter of feeling out the person you are talking to. Some people eat up the stuff like CFR and the FED but others are staunch "patriots" and any word against MSM ideals can be hard for people to deal with. I will also be going to vote soon.
A Wonderful Story -- Thanks For Sharing
Vote RON PAUL 2008
Vote RON PAUL 2008
Thanks, but...
...I would advise that you do not lead with conspiracy stuff. This chases away votes and is not central to the Ron Paul message. Please stick to Ron's message of lower taxes, less government, individual liberty, the Constitution and a restrained foreign policy. The CFR and Truther stuff are vote killers.
But thanks for all your efforts and your vote today for Ron. Good luck in all your revolutionary activities in the future.

My opinion though...
Yeah, I realize that but the CFR is on my mind a lot due to every candidate being a member except Ron Paul. I haven't been put on the spot like that before and it just came out. It's not like I said, "Ron Paul says the CFR this or that." When I mentioned the CFR it was coming from me not Ron Paul and the lady knew that. I did go on a tangent but to me it's all related. I don't pretend to be a spokesman or campaign staff. She asked me my thoughts and I gave them to her.
She didn't ask me what Ron Paul stands for. She asked me why I voted for him. Those are two different things.
Good job
That's how this message is getting passed along.
Inspiring story.
