“Hatred eats the soul of the hater, not the hated.”

"I know about the bad. I look where it is good."

An interview of Alice Herz-Sommer, the oldest surviving victim of the Holocaust by Anthony Robbins. When asked about the secret of her longevity, Alice says: "I look where it is good."

After repetitive abuse

Hatred is a protection that is normal and not to be ignored. If you don' hate the abusers you are waked out of your mind.

Hatred is a normal natural response and should not be redefined by mushrooms who think they should sit in the dark and like abuse.

Go abuse your dog over and over see hatred.

Hatred without cause is a self defeating emotion.

Alice Herz Sommer Oldest Holocast survivor (RIP)

LONDON — Alice Herz-Sommer, believed to be the oldest Holocaust survivor, died at age 110 on Sunday, a family member said. The accomplished pianist’s death came just a week before her extraordinary story of surviving two years in a Nazi prison camp through devotion to music and her son is up for an Oscar.

RIP Alice Herz-Sommer, and may your son win that Oscar

thanks, The Granger, and thank you to Michael Nystrom for the post as well. Quite wise, she was.

The sharpest evil comes with the most subtle actions

most people acting on it do not even know in their heart how subtle and orderly the evil is.

It is because unlike unconditional love, hate flows from tricking the condition that love has for strangers.

This woman exhibits true love and with that comes true peace.

no tyrant can sharpen trickery when no actions follow evil.

it took the 21st century to normalize fear and hate towards strangers with the art of war, yet this woman shows that no magic, mayhem,no circus,or no jester can seize the acts of unconditional love..

for them she was an object to hear music, for her she was a subject to listen to love...she ranked higher then all the generals who spite God for her.

A true flower can not blossom without sunlight and a true man can not live without love.

Thanks for posting this very inspiring story!

If Wars Can Be Started by Lies, They Can Be Stopped By Truth.

Very Nice

This may be the most difficult thing in life, especially for a man. I struggle trying to find the good in those who wish to enslave us.

Thank you for finding and posting this, simply beautiful.

Seeing magic and awe

Thank you Michael,

I loved that video. That woman has it. She realizes the beauty of life.

Yes, a sense of humor. Yes, letting go. Loving even if it is from afar.

May the lovers fill the earth.

Thank you again, Love and light your friend.

letting go . . .

when someone(s) has/have hurt you is one of the most difficult, but most necessary, things to do.

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

I don't agree

Forgiving is one of the most difficult things to do when someone has seriously, SERIOUSLY, harmed you, raped you, murdered someone you loved, destroyed everything you worked for, committed purgey or fraud when you pay time for a crime you didn't commit.. when you suffer physical damage that reminds you every moment of everyday what that person did because they felt like it.. because they didn't care about you, because they intended to HURT you, and they have NO remorse, no regret, and if they could, they would do it again. It's hard to forgive.. some people actually say it's impossible.. but then, it's not the love you get, it's the LOVE you give, and to LOVE yourself, you must FORGIVE and get over it.

Abandoning people is easy. It's what cowards do.

Letting go of someone you love, who will not open their heart, but makes threats and demands, and accusations that are not true.. it's not easy to forgive, but it's the right thing to do for yourself.

When you think of each person as just another face of God, that in the end it was ALL an illusion between you and God.. forgiving others is what you do in hopes that others will forgive you, especially when the hurt was never intended, and even when it was. In hopes that God will forgive you for the sins and pains you caused on others.

How many wars would end if people would forgive?

Which is easier for you?

Forgive me or let me go?

I can do...

both.

9/11 Truth.

I'd personally

LOVE to experience both from you rather than your perpetual insults. I don't post to you ecorob, only respond to the posts you make to me. DP is big enough for differences.. I let you go a long time ago when your insults were apparently aimed to do one thing, HURT me. I'm not here to be HURT, I'm here to LEARN, despite those like you who post with every intention to HURT.

So far all you've taught me is that you don't like me.

Got it.

So why post to me? I figure you're just looking to up your vote count with your little collective.. there's no love, I don't see any forgiveness or forgetting from you.

I forgive you for HURTING me on DP because we don't agree. I have never posted to hurt you. Have a great posting day.

Hatred is an emotion. It's a normal response to evil and wrong doing.
I hate evil people like the lady in Maryland who left her 4 year old daughter alone in a 2013 GM SUV, from 10 am to 6 pm while the woman gambled in a casino.
Security found the girl with peed pants crying.
No food.
No bathroom.
No heat - 35 degrees - on New Years eve.
No light for 2 hours.
That deserves my hatred.
And there are a hundred things like that everyday.

righteous anger

What you are describing would be better called righteous anger, rather than hate. According to Aristotle, at least, righteous anger is a valid, appropriate, and even positive emotion for some situations, such as the one you describe.

“Although it was the middle of winter, I finally realized that, within me, summer was inextinguishable.” — Albert Camus

One of the most useful lessons I learned was about anger.

It's okay to get angry. We're human beings, after all. When the anger gets hold of you, THINK: What are you really angry about? Who are you taking the anger out on? How much anger can that person handle? Learn to forgive yourself and others. It's okay to hate the sin but, not the sinner.

“It is the food which you furnish to your mind that determines the whole character of your life.”
―Emmet Fox

anger is energy

It's energy you can harness and channel into something useful. It's a fire you can tame. You can prepare "mental rockets" ahead of time, and when the anger arises, you use it to light one of your "mental rockets."

Hate is like a smoldering coal than you can carry around for a while. But you better use it soon, or it will start its own fire and burn you. Best not to walk around with smoldering coals in your pocket :)

“Although it was the middle of winter, I finally realized that, within me, summer was inextinguishable.” — Albert Camus

How do you prepare the rockets ahead of time?

I am curious about how to do this.

And I sense the profound truth of anger being energy and you can use it.
The application I was thinking of was turning whatever "failure" one has in life, and using anger at having failed in the past to motivate you to overcome as the time arises.

That's why I ask.

Thank you.

"It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a rEVOLution before tomorrow morning." - Henry Ford

Well, I could tell you what I do, but

what I am more interested in is: how would YOU go about doing it? I am curious as to what you would come up with. It may be way better than my way, and could enrich us both. :)

“Although it was the middle of winter, I finally realized that, within me, summer was inextinguishable.” — Albert Camus

....And hatred arises out of fear?

?

yes

because F.E.A.R. is false evidense appearing real. Fear is a base human feeling. Feelings can lie. Fear forces one to make a decision, fight or flight. Being forced against one's will produces resentment or hate. Hate is a fuel that provides the ability to fight or flight. One must learn, (Alice Sommer is grateful to her mother for encouraging her to LEARN) how to ACT in the face of fear, not REACT (because this is a trap).

So to eliminate fear, one must find, and embrace, what they LOVE, and WORK to CREATE a plan of action to eliminate FEAR. For Alice, this is "looking back". I take it as "counting blessings".

For Alice, she smiled and laughed everyday in the concentration camp because she understood her baby, which did not have the ability to act, only had the ability to react, would react to her smiling and laughter. Her son, was a tremendous blessing to her, and the world really, because he and Alice teach us that we can live, or feed, on love alone.

Hate, on the other hand, consumes us, disables us.

Where did you believe hate came from?

Voted your two comments up, Granger.

Those down votes were absurd! The Granger gave us good comments here. Maybe some one needs to take the message in this thread and get a better handle on it.

((((((((( Nonna )))))))))

May God bless you abundantly and constantly this NEW Year!!!

Thank you. I am profoundly GRATEFUL for your ACT of LOVE. I appreciate it very very much!

I am very sorry that I hurt you last year, because I never meant to hurt you. My revelations, that I attempted to share with you, were not from a place of hate. I wanted to share what GOOD, wonderful, beautiful, amazing things being revealed to me.

I had to accept that maybe these gifts were just for me, and to let go, in HOPE, that one day you would see the "silver lining" being revealed to me. I can accept that I am not that messanger for you and the vast majority. I let you go because I love you.

When you LOVE someone, set them free (and don't stop LOVING them) just hope and pray that they will return, for then, you know, that they LOVE you too.

I have thought of you everyday. I think of your post for caregivers, because your post for caregivers helped me care for caregivers. Today I am making a peach cobbler for the caregivers at our residential care facility. No one asked me to do this. It's because I KNOW, from your courage and wisdom, from your experience and LOVE, that care givers need care too.

Thank you for that gift of LOVE and care (((( Nonna )))). Thank you for this gift. Thank you for being you. I LOVE you. I always have and I always will.

Voted you upon all three comments

I don't know what the deal is with the haters, but don't let the fools get to you. Keep seeking the truth. (Frankly, I have been thinking about the whole mess, and maybe some Identificational Repentence is in order here) Seek and you will find.

@1.26 Anthony Robbins says:

"Somehow, she not only found a way to survive, but THRIVE."

This video is a lesson in how to thrive.

I received this message last May, gifting me with revelations which in part witnesses America going into "survival mode", evidensed as a secular apocolyptic vision perpetuated by fear, hate, blame, denial, apathy and indifference (not caring).

American homes are becoming self imposed concentration camps, and for those so lucky to have found Daily Paul, there's jrd's music thread for respite.

Americans belong to a minority within the global population that have the freedom to self determination. To each their own.

THANK YOU for this wonderful post and it's important message.
