The Ice Age Is Coming

Good, I hate hot weather.

A blizzard of snow in Georgia? Snow in Cairo, Egypt? Mississippi?

Snow in Texas, Florida, Louisiana, and Arizona?

This video is quite telling.

I've never seen snow sitting on top of palm trees before.

Global warming my ass. What a crock. What a con. Can't have it both ways, Al.

Any school teacher, scientist, professor or politician that still thinks the earth is, "getting warmer," should be relieved of their duties immediately.

It snows in Arizona every

It snows in Arizona every year. Now lots of snow in Phoenix would be something.

Oh, that's from 2010.

It's much warmer now!

When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the Universe.

Warmists conflate weather with climate, we shouldn't

That said.. we are overdue for an ice age. We might have a couple millennia. It could be on us now. It's certainly less than 10k regardless.

The ice age will kill billions if we do not have a free society when it happens. Global warming even if true is manageable. The ice age is not.

If we have not evolved to anarchy by the time it comes, and it will come, the globalist wet dream of genocide will happen. In our current fascist economic system, we will do it to ourselves.

I blame the Daily Paul for this cold wave

Seriously, ever since the “snow” started falling on this site it has gotten colder and colder and snowier and snowier here in These United States. As much fun as I’ve had navigating my mouse around trying to avoid the dropping snowflakes, maybe they need to be turned off and see if it warms up a bit.

Been watchin Batman Forever?

That's Batman and Robin.

That's Batman and Robin. Batman Forever was the Val Kilmer one with the Riddler and Two face.

Crap.

j/k, just teasing

Extreme ignorance of the Marvel universe is no virtue.

Been a warmer winter in central Europe this year

Maybe Al will spread his religion there.

Algore

doesn't really believe in global warming, he is just the pitch man for the NWO. If Algore really believed in global warming he wouldn't have purchased a 9 million dollar mansion right on the pacific ocean. Don't be a douche.

saying that a cold winter

saying that a cold winter disproves global warming is the equivalent of claiming that the sun no longer exists bc it has been cloudy recently.

that being said global warming ends in an ice age, bc currents can't circulate warm air from the equator when fresh water dilutes the ocean!

Thank you for some sanity

And while your currents statement is true, this scenario is mostly caused by the polar vortex (the cold air circulating around the planet above the jet stream) getting split into two parts, leaving the jet stream wandering very far north (it was above freezing in lots of Alaska today) and then very far south (the current WEATHER seen in the eastern US.

That is part of the picture, but another factor is sun activity.

It is unquestionable that the earth goes through long term climate swings, driven by multiple factors. But there are all sorts of nuances. The question is how much, if any, man has or can influence these climatic changes. Some who have studied this without the pressure of government grants, say the influence of man is very, small, perhaps 1% for global warming.

But whatever the contribution of man to climatic change, both the flow of currents you mention, and sunspot activity are major contributors. And bases on multiple oscillations in sunspot activity, it looks like the latter part of this century will at the very least bring us a mini ice age as several of the 11 year sunspot cycles will be extremely low, influenced by a multitude of other sunspot oscillations that are evident in the long data base of sunspot numbers. Is it a coincidence that the current 11 year sunspot cycle is very anemic so far showing numbers well below normal and we are experiencing unusual cold?

The equator is looking more and more like a good place to relocate for the younger generations.

"Bend over and grab your ankles" should be etched in stone at the entrance to every government building and every government office.

Can you explain better?

I'm very curious where you got this information since everything I've read shows the opposite.

"The question is how much, if any, man has or can influence these climatic changes."
No. There is very little question of how much man is influencing these climatic changes.
Per Wiki on Global Warming:
"Naturally occurring amounts of greenhouse gases have a mean warming effect of about 33 °C (59 °F).[68][C] Without the earth's atmosphere, the temperature across almost the entire surface of the earth would be below freezing.[69] The major greenhouse gases are water vapor, which causes about 36–70% of the greenhouse effect; carbon dioxide (CO2), which causes 9–26%; methane (CH4), which causes 4–9%; and ozone (O3), which causes 3–7%.[70][71][72] Clouds also affect the radiation balance through cloud forcings similar to greenhouse gases."

"But whatever the contribution of man to climatic change, both the flow of currents you mention, and sunspot activity are major contributors."
Again, no. Current changes are a result of climate change and sunspots REDUCE solar irradiance, not increase it. From Wiki's Solar Variation:
"Changes in total irradiance

Total solar irradiance changes slowly on decadal and longer timescales.
The variation during recent solar magnetic activity cycles has been about 0.1% (peak-to-peak).[3]
Variations corresponding to solar changes with periods of 9–13, 18–25, and >100 years have been detected in sea-surface temperatures.
In contrast to older reconstructions,[39] most recent reconstructions of total solar irradiance point to an only small increase of only about 0.05% to 0.1% between Maunder Minimum and the present.[40][41][42]
Different composite reconstructions of total solar irradiance observations by satellites show different trends since 1980; see the global warming section below."

"Is it a coincidence that the current 11 year sunspot cycle is very anemic so far showing numbers well below normal and we are experiencing unusual cold?"
No to just about all of that. Solar irradiance is 1366 watts hitting every square meter of the Earth's surface. When it dips to its minimum, that's down to 1365.5 W/M2 with maximums at 1366.5 W/M2. When other factors are changing the planet's stable temperature by 70% of this potential by trapping more, how is a 1 watt input difference going to make any difference at all?

You also can't have multiple 11 year cycles reaching a low together. That would put them in sync and they would be the same cycle.

The biggest error is assuming that since YOU are cold, that the globe is colder. It is not. Did you know that while southern KY was ice cold yesterday, temps were above freezing way into northern Alaska at the same time.

You're being sold a bill of goods and you only need to read a little bit to learn what's going on. Big oil wants no climate change awareness while banks via governments want to co-opt climate change for carbon tax control over us. Neither has a damn thing to do with the science. That's a THIRD problem.

yes thank you for your

yes thank you for your intellect. I don't understand why it is such a popular thing in the libertarian movement to hate science and everything it stands for, its just ignorant.

I may have known most of it before

but I googled it for details and accuracy when I wrote it. That took all of 5 minutes.

I think they're so convinced that we have other 'major' problems that they take this issue as a joke where they can let their hair down and just have some fun. People just don't realize the chain of events is so strongly tied together. Just a 2 degree warming of everything has already modified the jet stream about 75% of the days of the year. This cold event in the N.E. US and the corollary heat wave in AK (which got NO news) was just one result. When dramatically different seasons in one year lead to over-corrections the next year (drought leads to cold, high melt leads to snow, snow leads to storms, etc.), what will we see next year or the one after that?

And that's just from the jet stream changing. What is the result of the ocean thermal conveyors changing? Will we see northern hemisphereic mini ice age in the same year that Asia gets even worse flooding, followed by 2 months straight of record highs? Will that be enough to trigger social awareness? Or maybe it will take a mass exodus of people the the temperate latitudes from all other latitudes? I just don't know.

But like all other social, political, economic and liberty issues, people don't become active until they can see how it will soon affect their lives directly.

The major part of the

The major part of the climatic variability on earth is due to the sun. However, solar activity hasn't been remotely close to a minimum over the past 4 months or so. In fact, solar activity has been quite high over the past 4 months.

How exactly is the sun causing "the" major variability?

Please cite some credible source explaining how this happens and what level of effect it has, percentage-wise. I'm sure scientists all over will be shocked to learn it.

interesting! what would a

interesting! what would a governement have to gain from falsely creating this "global warming hype"? genuinely interested!

NWO

The only way to invest more power into a world government is to have a crisis that only a world body could solve with taxing authority and more and more power for itself. That's why the same propaganda is being repeated in every "Western" nation, or at least those with a hijacked media and education system working for the NWO. How else can the same line of tripe be agreed upon by all of these countries elites despite common sense right in their face?

Nuclear, solar geothermal want fossil fuels taxed. Carbon tax.

Carbon energy producers benefit by selling their carbon credits and government takes a share.

Expensive and inefficient energy sources are subsidized by cheap energy producers.

Everybody loses except the ones that would lose in the marketplace.

Free includes debt-free!

that doesn't make sense

that doesn't make sense though, the big money lies with big oil, you would think that a government bought and paid for would want to bury the idea of global warming

Coming my Ass!

It's here now! It is 15 below air temp with 35 below wind chill and I'm in southern ohio not Alaska. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....this sucks! I hate winter!

Snow down here as well...

Here in Brazil we are in summer now, but past winter we had some good snow at the southern part of the country, something very unusual, like, record snow for the past 50 years..
Global Warming, huh ?!?
