Ex-Officers Found Not Guilty in Kelly Thomas’ Beating Death
http://www.dailypaul.com/309994/ex-officers-found-not-guilty...

A diagnosed schizophrenic wandering around the streets? Check.

Not one person willing to take responsibility for him, care for him or even take an interest in his well being? Check.

Frightened, hysterical consumers out to drink themselves dumb, watch idiot ball or peruse the damaged offerings at the late night meat market, callously disregarding the lunatic outside? Check.

The local business owner calling 911 for the psychopath mercenaries to come cart away the human trash outside, rather than in any way try to help or comfort him? Check.

The psychotic cops showing up and jumping on the chance to beat the pulp out of a weak, defenseless, emotionally damaged person, with no one to speak for him? Check.

The use of tasers on top of the beating, in what is becoming the bizarre, sadistic and cowardly ritual of our soul dead storm-troopers in this brave, second American century? Check!

The bemused crowd of sheep spectators standing around and watching without doing or even saying anything, as their mentally impaired neighbor, brother, is beaten to death by their morally impaired heroes, masters? Check.

30 minutes of pointless video and audio documentation which don't even make a difference, making the whole spectacle even more absurd and damning? Check.

15 or 20 unnecessary vehicles converging on the scene after the killing, god knows for what red tape or ritual purpose, clogging the area with their discordant noise and lights, before the crowd disperses back to its low grade amusements? Check.

Long, drawn out legal spectacle involving dozens of lawyers, judges, appeals and press coverage, in a two way tug of war of bullshit to sway a stupefied and impotent public, at a cost of tens of millions of dollars? Check!

An idiotic jury of probable voters handing over the spineless, brainless, morally bankrupt, predictable authoritarian verdict? Check!

P̶a̶r̶e̶n̶t̶s̶ ̶w̶h̶o̶ ̶y̶e̶s̶t̶e̶r̶d̶a̶y̶ ̶d̶i̶d̶n̶'̶t̶ ̶c̶a̶r̶e̶ ̶a̶ ̶s̶h̶r̶e̶d̶,̶ ̶n̶o̶w̶ ̶a̶t̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶r̶e̶a̶d̶y̶ ̶w̶i̶t̶h̶ ̶l̶a̶w̶s̶u̶i̶t̶s̶...
Parents who love their children, yet are powerless to do anything to help them, due to mindless state laws that make the mentally handicapped wards of the state rather than the responsibility of those who actually care for them and have their best interests at heart? Check.

Parents, emotionally drained and exhausted from struggling against a unreasoning state apparatus, forced to watch as a malignant neglect wears down their children, while millions of others waste away, abandoned to their fate without anyone to care? Check.

Lawsuits against some shitty little city government, which pays out, no problem, as its bloated budget isn't even strained after the oversized fleet of emergency vehicles, the overpaid scum bag cops, the overpriced surveillance equipment, the jacked up toy tasers, and the union funded legal shysters? Check!

Finally, most sadly, after this ugly, tragic, typical modern spectacle unfolds, the collective refrain of the DailyPaul, cocksure of its verdict, "The cops! The cops are to blame!" and then "The jury was fixed! Conspiracy."

Do you not see the palpable evil all around you? Do you not the wreckage of former human beings walking all around you?

Everyone involved in this from first to last did their little part, their little sin, their amoral shrug of the shoulders. Not one acted like the deceased was anything more than trash before he was killed.

It was not the cops who deemed him trash, but the consumer, the patron, and the business owner. Not the cops, but his neighbors. They all are to blame, and not some imaginary cigar smoking, jury tampering city official.

We get the government and justice we deserve, and when we place the blame on cardboard cutout scapegoats, instead of seeing the evil that beads like sweat from the air all around us, we can expect more of the same.

Very astute observation, Bill3.

You place a whole different perspective on the subject.

I seriously can't tell if this is satire

Are you seriously claiming that someone besides the cops is to blame for this beating?

I can't tell if this comment

I can't tell if this comment is satire.

I've been beaten unconscious by police.

Of course, I too was far from my herd and rather sickly at the time.

John Robb I've always wanted

John Robb I've always wanted to ask you if that's really you in your pic.

why.. yes! it is! do you like how my hair looks?

1st verse, 2nd stanza.

Go ahead then... ask... I'll wait... ;D

If I were only that patient...
You remind me to change it up again. I'm finally getting kinda sick of looking at it these days. I always oddly enjoyed the pic as it was displayed for months in the advertising here on DP. If you are a top tier paying member or engage an ad block with your browser, you would have missed it. Someone a few months back mentioned the image in his post, at which time I lifted the image, uploaded it to my profile, and commented back to that someone something like, "Hey, what are you doing talking about me like that!" It was worth a chuckle. Maybe I'll switch it back to the real me tonight.

haha Ya I also wishes it was

haha Ya I also wishes it was you. Looks like Daniel Dennet doing a late night fitness infomercial. Why can't the world we the way it is on the internet...

man, I was hoping it was you

cause that guy is cool

Are you sayin' I'm not that cool?

Well, it's my twin brother and for the first time ever I'm glad he's a Barack Obama fan, because if he ever saw this page I'd never hear the end of it.

hey now

If I say apples are delicious, and you are not an apple, does that mean I am saying you are not delicious? No, it does not. You might just be a quince and smell divine to boot.

For your dumbass remark about the parents. I met them, and they did care, but state law prevented them from doing anything about him, which led to him living on the streets. You can not force someone to take their medication, and you can't put someone in an mental institution without their consent. Try learning more about the disease and state laws regarding the disease before you make a remark like that.

If that's true I'll correct

If that's true I'll correct it. I didn't do thorough research, which is my fault, this was an emotional reaction to the facts of the case. And you're right about the state laws. Please accept my correction. If there's some special link to the parents' story, please post and I'll add. With that said, though, consider the broader point of the mentally ill being written off, only to become the props of for lawsuits in a tragedy.

Ditto

Well said.

welcome to Rome

BILL3, is either on a roll... or off his meds.

we are trying to schedule a meeting for him.

I disagree..

maybe seeing it through eyes more befitting of those with a heart. It is easy to get away with thing when the victim doesn't have a Jesse Jackson screaming from the hill tops and I believe that is the point of this post.

Nobody tried to help the guy. Just looked at him like trash and treated him as a discarded soul. While I personally dont knock the turn of events, because sometimes helping a stranger can be dangerous... its still callous and a death that could have been avoided with a little understanding and civility.

taking care of a schizophrenic is a full time job

What would you expect people to do? Furthermore, if the guy refuses to be hospitalized, what can you do? Hospitalize him by force? Therein's a dangerous path.

I'm touched.

That there is the closest to a compliment you ever paid me.

Happy 2 yr DP bday. I like that you share it with the jam sessio

In a rush tonight, but wanted to say that to you. If your mining for good tunes, mar-may was it's height of great amazing stuff if you ask me. Great stuff has been played since, but those were some good times depending on what you like. There are over 10,000 songs in there though so, there is bound to be something for everyone.
Like I said Happy 2 yr, sorry it's not on topic, but didn't want to make you wait for the jam session to load by replying over there. I understand why some ppl don't like to wait for it to load.

Sigh....hvactech....It's just not necessary.

I enjoy your music videos.
I enjoy your comments.
I also happen to like Bill3 every now and then.
Same with Chris. And Has. And Mountaincat. And Johncarter. And Michael. And robot Jon who never talks. And Rocketman. And Wes. And Tao. And Mdefarge. And Prespaulorbust. And Obi. And the list goes on....and on...and on....
And Ed, and Iran, and Deacon, and MikeFWT, and No.7, and Ralph, and RPliberty, granger (yup), and Bettyliberty, and on and on and on.....

I wasn't going to respond because I didn't want to continue hijacking his thread, but really.... I know you don't like him, I don't know why, I don't care why. I also know you don't like Chris. I don't know why, I don't care why. I like them. I like most people here and I don't know why that seems to bother you and I don't care why, except I wish you wouldn't waste your energy on it.

WOW

I am truly world wide now, I saw my name up in lights :)

If we deny truth before your very eyes, then the rest of what we have to say,is of little consequence

I know what an Algorithm is.

I also dated an English Girl who's mother delighted in writing very long letters...
what she delighted in, was that the very long letters... had no substance.
she would ask me to read them to see if I could find any substance.

BILL3 writes in the same manner. but there is substance to what he writes.
it is oblique and amounts to obfuscation.
intention noted.

Chis is a real person. BILL3 is not.

your wish is granted.

Thanks jrd! Yeah pandora has

Thanks jrd! Yeah pandora has nothing on the jam session, I trust you people over algorithms. Happy jam session bday!

I am going back to paper.

why do I need to be on the internet again?

very good job, well done Sir!
