Let them know that we fought to get him invited but we want to see a 'confirmed' under his name!! We stood, and we were counted. Now they need to RSVP - ESPECIALLY because we don't know if he was *really* invited or if they just did that to shove us aside. If HQ actually contacts them to RSVP they will have to accept his presence!

How do we inform the Campaign, so that we are sure they get the message? If no one beats me to it tomorrow I'll call the campaign number and tell that individual to run this to ground until we see a *confirmed* under his name (anyone on the East Coast that gets up before I do feel free to call but post an update on this thread so that we know the campaign has been made aware...).

Don't want to make phone calls? Google ten Maine businesses and send them specific emails. For example, if you sell shoes, find 10 shoe stores that you can relate with and send a personalized message via email. If you're a real estate broker... you get the picture. Lots of people have their email addresses available online. Include some YouTube clips from local Maine media from yesterday's event with Dr. Paul, here are some:

Remember Maine is small and just a few people can make the difference, Ron Paul is pretty much the only candidate that has come here. I only see Ron Paul signs around (except 1 Romney and 1 Kucinich). Maine is a good shot so lets not regret that we didn't do enough.

I would however like to hear from the campaign if they actually did receive this invitation. I would hate to hear that they merely updated the website to cover their asses and end the phone calls/emails.
I bet here is why
Ron Paul was not invited. Get the younger viewership, who will be fighting these wars for Americas empire etc. and Ron Paul is the only anti-war repub. So they want to convince this age group that war is good...protecting America etc. In the long run it will encourage them to sign up in the military...or be ready for the draft without much opposition.

This is so important imo and also hammering Fox and ABC, LATimes etc. This type of thing has lately been getting drowned at DP unfortunately under "Huckabee talks to Jesus" and "McCain's a creep". Not that that's not true!
Also, I think people have given up on trying to hold them accountable for ignoring RP - DON'T GIVE UP. I think Ron Paul could turn lead into gold at this point and they would turn away. All the more reason to give them a pounding.

When I was young I remember watching Kurt Loder on MTV and the various "Rock the Vote" segments that used to be aired encouraging young people to educate themselves and be active in the political arena. I don't know if these segments are still aired as I gave up on MTV a long time ago.
However I'm very concerned to find out that one of the major candidates, who has the MOST support from young supporters in either party (yes, more than Barack Obama too) is being excluded from the Myspace/MTV debate..
Even a momentary glimpse into online culture, whether it be myspace, digg, youtube or google, will make it quite apparent that the young people in this country support and love Dr. Ron Paul.
Let it be noted that Ron Paul has the most friends on myspace, and won the myspace presidential poll not too long ago.
As I'm sure you're aware, Newscorp stocks have taken a nosedive since the exclusion of Ron Paul in the New Hampshire debate and Fox News has become the target of much scrutiny since that time. I personally don't watch MTV anyway since they stopped airing music, but I do use myspace on a daily basis, and I think there will be an enormous outcry against both MTV and Myspace if Dr. Paul is not invited to this debate.
If you value your continued success, I would suggest you take ALL presidential candidates seriously.

Ron Paul will be in Victoria, TX (heart of his District) on FEB2
I feel like the bearer of bad news - but I am happy about it :(
Ron Paul is officially scheduled to be in Victoria, Texas on Feb 2nd at 3 pm for a rally here.
This is the heart of his district and people are literally coming out of their seams waiting to meet him.
This doesn't explain why he wasn't invited though... He DID win the myspace poll a while back!
If any of you are near Victoria, PLEASE come out and show your support for Dr. Ron Paul.
REMEMBER: 14 District of Texas - YOU are the only ones who get to vote for Ron Paul TWICE! He is running for Congress and for President.
There is currently not a law on the books that says he cannot occupy both seats....

This is not going to be easy, or fun. It is going to be hard work, a major PITA, and will cost you money.
