George Bush: 'God told me to end the tyranny in Iraq'

The Guardian, Thursday 6 October 2005

George Bush has claimed he was on a mission from God when he launched the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq, according to a senior Palestinian politician in an interview to be broadcast by the BBC later this month.

Mr Bush revealed the extent of his religious fervour when he met a Palestinian delegation during the Israeli-Palestinian summit at the Egpytian resort of Sharm el-Sheikh, four months after the US-led invasion of Iraq in 2003.

One of the delegates, Nabil Shaath, who was Palestinian foreign minister at the time, said: "President Bush said to all of us: 'I am driven with a mission from God'. God would tell me, 'George go and fight these terrorists in Afghanistan'. And I did. And then God would tell me 'George, go and end the tyranny in Iraq'. And I did."

As I've said all along

A Christian genocide against Muslims - that's why Americans went along with it. Sickening.

I know....I know....he isn't a "real" Christian. But, then neither is every Christian in the US that went along with it. They are equally sick.

"In the beginning of a change the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot."--Mark Twain

You are right

So let's just call them the false Christians that they are. I know a lot of them who claim the voice in their head is God. It is sickening as you say.

So God told Bush to kill. Really?

Some of the people I take care of in our psychiatric hospital believe the same thing. They are on missions from God to rid the world of people they consider to be undesirable. God doesn't order anyone to kill. Such a supposed command from God is rubbish. With all of the countless civilizations and armies that were completely wiped-out of existence by the Hebrews, Israel should have no remaining enemies, but they seem to have more now than ever before. All of that senseless "God-commanded" butchery amounted to nothing. They didn't once attempt to negotiate with their enemies to try and make a lasting peace, which would have been a true sign that these were God's chosen people. Why does Sun Tzu know more about war and how to avoid it than the Almighty? Did such orders to kill actually come from God or from men like Bush2 in an attempt to justify this whole sale murder?

Hitler also thought that he was on a mission from God, so did Napoleon. History has showed that all three were wrong about hearing command voices, which told them to kill. If you heard a voice from beyond and that voice said to kill, you would know immediately that the voice could not be from the Almighty. God is sufficiently powerful to kill as many as He needed to all by Himself without involving anyone else in the bloodletting.

Here are the facts

When God finished writing the Bible, He also finished speaking audibly to man.

Bush is either delusional, a liar, or both!

One thing is for sure, he knows not the Almighty as his God!

" In Thee O Lord do I put my trust " ~ Psalm 31:1~

SteveMT's picture

"He also finished speaking audibly to man." What about visions?

What about visions? Are they any better? Such visions began in earnest with the The Book of Revelation, which was written as a vision manifested to John. So not by audibly/voices, but perhaps through visions, did Hitler, Napoleon, and Bush2 receive orders from God to kill. Is that any better? I don't believe it. Neither happened, IMO. These leaders used the name of God to justify the killing as many others have done, regardless of whether voices or visions had occurred.

No more audible voice to man....

No more dreams, no more visions!

He has given us His word and all that we need to know regarding living a life that is pleasing to Him, trusting every word within those pages as our Guiding Light in this very dark world, and all we need to know about what is to come upon all that ignore Him.

Let all who truly desire truth, come to Him humbly, and ask for wisdom and understanding, and salvation in Jesus Christ!

If one wants to hear the voice of God, then let them read God's Word!

All proclaiming that God spoke to them in an audible voice or dream are liars and deceivers, OR it was satan himself deceiving them!

How scary is that!

End tyranny with tyranny and break a lot of windows, grab loot.

On the first night of Shock and Awe in 2003, 6,702 civilians died in a country with no connection to September 11, 2001.

Anyone has a tip about God vs. George?

Anyone has a tip on when God will have George shut up?

Stars, signs, ... Anything. Anyone?

Sorry, but I mean it.

Well, yes:

You know, it ought to be up to God to deal with that "believer"...

No? / Hopefully.

As Justin Raimondo so eloquently stated:

I see God as the strong, silent type. Something tells me it wasn't God, but the "other guy."

'God told me to end the tyranny in Iraq'

Uh, did he tell you what to replace Saddam with? Car/suicide bombs, broken infrastructure, poison from depleted uranium, deformed children, civil war, millions of refugees... Chaos? No? He didn't tell you? George, you should have ask him. Get back on the "mainline" and find out. I'm sure he'll answer YOU. And the people of Iraq will be forever grateful.

At least the special few of those you made rich.

God, tell me, how could I live with myself knowing I was nearly single handily responsible for ending the tyranny in Iraq? How does he?

God forgives always. Man forgives sometimes. But Nature never forgives.

The only problem is that Bush's God's

real name is SATAN. Look at Iraq today. What a mess. Bush should visit Iraq and see how long it takes before the mobs hang him from a noose.

Cyril's picture

Noose?

Noose?

In George's case, considering the human cost assessment on their people, my little pinky tells me that a number of them might very well want to go for a much more gruesome "implementation".

Especially if that's improvised by the mob, like you said.

I wouldn't even want to see that, but I can't help to guess.

One of the problems is that

One of the problems is that he cant really travel to many places outside the US without being arrested for warcrimes.

To climb the mountain, you must believe you can.

All fine and dandy

But which god does he claim as his own?

If we deny truth before your very eyes, then the rest of what we have to say,is of little consequence

*slaps knee*

That's a good one. A lot of the criminals convicted of heinous crimes in court say "God told me to do it" too.
