President Romney

Would it have made a difference?

What kind?

Serious question.

we will never know

of course there would be differences but I doubt anything substantial. The Presidency is just a bully-pulpit essentially. So which would make the best case for what (and would it be enough to sway the people who really make things happen). We already knew Obama would lie and people would believe him. He has track record. Just look at Romney's track record and you will that unless he made an about face on his past, things wouldn't be appreciably different with him as President.

"It’s not pessimistic, brother, because this is the blues. We are blues people. The blues aren’t pessimistic. We’re prisoners of hope but we tell the truth and the truth is dark. That’s different."

GREAT cartoon but....

does it bother anyone else as it bothers me, that Republicans are lately associated with RED (RED State etc.) while Democrats are lately associated with blue?

I mean TRADITIONALLY COMMUNISM was associated with Red and Communism is a leftist concept. So who decided that Republicans should be red and not Democrats.

This must have been a gift from the map makers of the Liberal Press.

Yes! That gets me too... The RED Army aka the Soviets

more double-speak brainwashing...

Already Romney would have

Taken our guns and ended much the resistance to the health care bill by replacing it with pretty much the same thing.
Oh yeah, don't forget about the War in Syria. We probably would have invaded Iran by now.

Ron brought the Liberty movement together, Rand is expanding the crap out of it! :)

Honestly? You think Romney would be able to get our guns, but..

...Not Obama, who couldn't be trying any harder?

Rmney would definitely not have been able to get our guns before Obama. Please explain.

The reason being

is that most of the opposition was Republican, but what if that opposition was silenced to suck up to the president like they did when Bush was in office or the democrats with Obama in office.

That is why, he would have been much more successful in suppressing republican opposition.

Would he have dismantled Obamacare?

Like he said he was going to?

Probably not

Remember Obamacare was crafted after HIS model in Massachusetts. His only difference is he (says) he believes it's a state, not federal thing (since he was getting attacked with 'Romneycare' accusations). So when he got in office he would have seen what worked well enough for the insurance carriers/special interests and made half hearted attempts to shoe horn the thing into something that looked more state than federal, though I'm not sure how, and once elected...

The real question is would he have dismantled the NSA programs, TSA etc? What do you think. It shouldn't be hard to guess the answer, because we know other forces beyond the presidency are pushing forward the police state anyway.

Our problems go beyond any single presidency. It's not all Obama's fault, it's not all Bush's fault, though they are both horrible. It's a bunch of them put together, probably starting with Wilson and the income tax.

I think he would have dismantled ObamaCare simply because

doing so was the hallmark of his Presidential campaign. And Romney has been shown to be a flip flopper to the highest degree but not an outright liar. There is a difference. And Obama is simply a liar.

Would he have replaced Obama/RomneyCare with anything? The debate would still be raging.

Regarding NSA The Patriot Act, NDAA the military, the wars on Syria and Iran - ALL of these things would have been supported and increased may times over. A guy who never SERVED in the military, wanted to use it to the utmost to suppress his own people and the world.

Seriously?

You can't be serious.
Comney/Obama or Obama/Comney.... where's the damn difference????

Of course there are differences

Would 911 have happened under Al Gore?

To be mean is never excusable, but there is some merit in knowing that one is; the most irreparable of vices is to do evil out of stupidity. - C.B.

I will do you one better.

If Gore was president and 9/11 happened, would Iraq have still been invaded?

I don't know.

Maybe Gore would have banned jet travel for piss-ant private citizens before 9-11-01?

It would have been worse.

It would have been worse. After the school shooting, he would have said to the GOP, we are going to have to give a little on gun control and some republicans would have followed his lead. He would have signed an assault weapons ban just like he did when he was governor.Because Obama proposed the gun control the republicans were united against it.
There is a good chance we would already be at war in Syria and or Iran too.

Half of the republicans were supportive of it anyway...

The republicans were not "united against it". I believe Romney would have proposed similar legislation that the Obama regime did. I also believe Sandy Hook was a planned false-flag psy-op, designed to take our guns, and the outcome would have either been the same, or maybe Romney would not have backed a Sandy Hook shooting... maybe.

I think almost all the

I think almost all the republicans in the senate voted no on the gun control. It never even made it to the house.

Six of one, half a dozen of

Six of one, half a dozen of the other because their policies are indistinguishably similar.
But
I would imagine one small benefit to having had Romney: The longer a person is in office the stronger their connections to other cri- er uh, "public servants." Those connections are the grease in the machinery of corruption. Had Romney won, he wouldn't have already had four years of presidential-level grease.

I think it would have been better...

...because if Romney were president liberals would not be supporting drone strikes, warrantless searches, suspicion less spying on Americans, suspension of habeas corpus, and constantly raising the debt limit every time it is reached. We would have a bigger coalition on these issues but instead, anyone who points out the hypocrisy of their supporting these things, that just a few short years ago they were against, is labeled a "racist bagger."

Independents would see the liberty movement as a legitimate alternative to the duopoly because the true liberty movement is not going to tow the GOP line and accept tyranny due to a Romney win.

Policy wise though, there is absolutely no difference of position on anything that is important.

I guess I'm not alone

Somewhat

I don't think he would have been so divisive on the social issues. The division of the country into collectivists groups has accelerated greatly.

However, immigration, surveillance and foreign policy would have been the same if not worse.

The Tea Party would not have been fooled by Romney. There is an open war going on in Republican Party right now... Initiated by Ron Paul I might add.

No, but

it's a moot point, because Romney was never suppose to be president, Obama was chosen from the beginning.

Two different pieces of of Dung

Is still Dung. Both smell bad.

Money talks and dogs bark

would have probably meant the end

of medical marijuana and rec mj for sure.

i can't really think of any positives as they were pretty much the same on everything else including 2a, drones, nsa, fed etc etc etc.
any small good (fiscal) would have been canceled out by conservatives going back to sleep.

Not a chance... Obama's gov't has arrested 4+ times the amount..

..of STATE LEGAL MMJ patients, caregivers, doctors and providers than under Bush...

Obama has tried to stop it, but is failing. So would Romney.

if you think obama was bad

mitt would have been way worse. i don't even think it's up for debate. mpp has all his quotes along with all the other candidates too.

as far as barry raiding more disp than bush that is true in cali and Montana but that's because they (state gov) wanted it/called for it and allowed it at the state level. also there were probably 100 times more disp to raid.
if you think mitt would have been any better then you did not listen to what he had to say during the election.

If you think there would have been any difference between them..

You're crazy. How is it exactly that Romney would have been able to stop the inevitable spreading of legalization of MMJ and recreational?
Obama has been trying pretty hard to stop it. Harder than Bush. There were not many more dispensaries opened between Bush & Obama in California.
And wouldn't Bush have tried to "nip it in the bud" (no pun intended) before it got bigger? He didn't. Obama did...

It isn't up for debate, though. The election was rigged, Romney was a jobber, role-player, that's it. he was never going to win, Obama always was.

And the states are doing what the states want DESPITE the Federal government.

Obama is a liar. Ogden Memo is a joke.

It just sounds to me like you are defending Obama. To me, they are the SAME.
