I thought to do something different today. I thought instead of writing up blurbs from news sources or referencing research articles that I read to wake people up . Instead I want take a moment to discuss the reason it matters to me, AND why it should matter to everyone.
My work for the last couple of years has been to better understand how America and our culture. It all began as a constitutional republic and through systematic effort changed to be on a direct collision course with a horror scene out of 1984.
There is much talk of camps or martial law. And what we don't realize is that those confines are already in place. The american prison system is the largest in the world. We host more prisoners than all other modern countries combined. And to ensure productivity and "rehabilitation" The American Judicial system entertains the forced labor of more than 2 million inmates. This represents the very essence of a any nightmarish camp and all under the clever guise of Justice and law. Martial law is no longer necessary when you have militarized police, SWAT teams and prisons. Simply because stepping out of line will land you in their custody.
While there are still remnants of this once great experiment in freedom, we have morphed into something our founding fathers would be appalled at. I could sit here and calmly describe the ever evolving militarization and implementation of the police state, the dissident oppressing surveillance grid, or the illegal wars of aggression, and there are those who would listen to this with an open mind and an empty cup, but the truth is the majority no matter how much proof there is still would continue to turn a blind eye or say its for our own good. For ignorance in time of peril is certainly bliss.
To understand the root cause we must understand what freedom IS and WHY it is a basic human right. We MUST understand this, but not for MY freedom, not YOUR freedom but for my children's freedom, and their children's freedom. The what describes the why. Not freedom we read about, or preach to, or think we have, or even freedom written on old parchment. But tangible freedom.
Freedom is not a concept, an idea or a statist theory that American's can rally behind once a year on the 4th of July. its a reality with practical implications. And a true show of force to back it up.
It is the REAL Freedom to speak, The REAL freedom to act, the REAL freedom to think, and to challenge the existing system without fear. The freedom to choose your own destiny and not be presided over by a thug who obtains his power through threat of violence.
" There comes a time when all that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing. "
This popular quote is ominous. AND there is a time when silence is betrayal to yourself and to those around you. Humanity tells me that the hour has come to realize that the course we are on as a nation and as a people is one of unimaginable peril. And the answer is quite simple.
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness."
These words no matter how old or dated they may be. Are more applicable today than ever. And from these words we state the obvious: that rights are not granted by governments, not implemented by political parties, and are not vanquished through ones misdeeds or by crossing imaginary borders.
We have created the very beast that the founding fathers fought bled and died to defeat. And from the ashes of a once fragile test as a republic we have built a country that wages illegal wars, profits from the suffering of others and has bled its own citizens into absolute poverty.
I leave it to you to decide the next course of action. Awakening people and telling the story will only carry us to a certain extent and will only enlighten minds for a period of time. What our founding fathers knew was that to ensure long lasting freedom there always comes a time when you must start anew.
