65% of Christians Against the Building of the Third Temple in Christian Poll

This is a surprising and fascinating result to me, from the high traffic Christian website Christianforums.com. Would like to see what a scientific poll comes up with.

http://www.christianforums.com/t7647317/

The Poll: Should Christians support Jewish control of Temple Mount and rebuilding of Temple?

-Yes, I believe that every word in Ezekiel chapter 40 to 48 must be fulfilled. 17.95%

-No, doing this might speed up the time of the coming of the anti-Messiah! 5.13%

-Yes, King Cyrus was led by the God of Abraham and he supported this cause. 0%

-No, I believe that we should all be vegetarians and never kill animals. 5.13%

-Yes, our nation will be blessed if we bless the Jewish people. 6.41%

-No, this could lead to a war and human life is of more value than any temple! 65.38%

Perhaps political forces beyond our control are not hurtling us headlong toward Armageddon after all, and there is hope.

Ezekiel 40-48 seems pretty clear

Regardless of whether or not I support Jewish control of the temple mount.

.

Hear, O Israel: YHUH our God YHUH one. And thou shalt love YHUH thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

Denial

Those who still wish to build a third temple fail or refuse to see that it's already been built in the hearts of men by Christ's sacrifice. Now that I really know Christ, I know that the search is over.

1 Corinthians 6:19 KJV
[19] What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

I tend to look at prophecy as

I tend to look at prophecy as a choice. It doesn't have to happen, but what is written has happened and the rest will happen if we let it.

Please come join my forum if you're not a trendy and agree with my points of view.

Duh, because who wants the Anti-Christ to start WW3?

I am Messianic Jewish and I don't want them to build the 3rd Temple either.

not yet, anyway

Why?

Jesus will return then. Isn't that better for us?

Hi, I am curious.. Is there a difference

between Messianic Judaism which is considered a form of Christianity and being Messianic Jewish? In Israel would you be considered as practicing Judaism and therefore a Jew or Christianity and therefore a Gentile? Do the Evangelicals agree more with Messianic Judaism? Thanks ahead if you can clarify!

"I think we are living in a world of lies: lies that don't even know they are lies, because they are the children and grandchildren of lies." ~ Chris Floyd

Messianic Jewish means I believe in Messianic Judaism, yes.

I am Christian. I am Jewish.

Israel is a bit complicated. The Orthodox Jews that have a lot of power there and write a lot of laws, aren't too fond of Messianics.
That's their loss, and they are on the learning curve like most everyone else, including Messianics, because we are all just beginning to learn about G-d.
But the Messianic movement is exploding in Israel, and within the last ten years or fewer, the number of Messianic in Israel has gone from around 5,000 to well over 35,000 and growing still.

I was born to a Roman Catholic mother and conservative Jewish father. I celebrated Christmas and Easter, Passover and Hannuka. I went to Hebrew school on Wednesdays after school, and Saturday mornings. I was Bar Mitzvahed.

My folks discovered Messianic Judaism, which they had already pretty much came to the same conclusion on their own, as I did, on my own.
I probably came to see it a long time ago but never said much, because no one knew much about it and there was no real organized group or Church or Synogogue. (Another good question; is it Church or synagogue? Both.)

Since I was born to a Christian mother I had to be Baptized into being an official "Jew". I even have my official "Jew" papers in case the Nazis come back or if I need to flee the US to Israel, lol.
But according to the Torah (Old Testament), the line is through the FATHER not the MOTHER, so I shouldn't have needed that even (but see, Orthodox Talmudic Judaism has deviated their laws from the Torah almost as much as the Roman Church has).

Most Messianics I know start out as Christians. Baptists. Evangelicals. Looking for the roots of their religion, their faith.

Interesting. But isn't the Anti-Christ necessary

on order for the Messiah to return, or arrive for the first time, in the Judaic tradition? Please correct my theology where needed.

One other thing... The "Judaic" tradition is where the Messiah..

Judaism, and the prophesies contained in the Torah (Old Testament) is where the Messiah prophesy comes from...

Yeshua was a Rabbi who fulfilled all of the ancient Jewish prophesies which foretold of the Messiah. According to "Judaic" tradition, the Messiah came, and he was Yeshua. However the world is NOT yet at peace, and even modern Roman Christianity says He must come again, so the logic there is undeniable, and easy to understand from a Messianic Jewish perspective.

You have to understand that after Christ, and destruction of the Temple, Orthodox Jewish Rabbis had to re-invent Judaism, in order to separate themselves from the Messianics/"Early Church".

The legitimate Judaism had been fulfilled, not replaced but fulfilled, with the Messiah, and continued with the "Early Church"/Messianics. But G-d knew the job was not complete.

Rome/The Beast was still in charge, and within a few centuries had co-opted the Messianic movement, paganized it, and eventually forced conversion of all the Roman Empire under Constantine to a new Roman Emperor sanctioned version of paganized "Christianity".

G-d allowed this in order to spread Yeshua's message around the globe to all peoples.
G-d allowed the Orthodox Jews to create "Talmudic Judaism" in order to keep the old ancient traditions alive and sacred.

G-d has been preparing the Truth remnant in the major Judeo-Christian organized religions to be revealed to the World, through the Remnant (those who remain loyal to the Spirit of the Lord), and eventually the Return of the Messiah himself.

I believe G-d's plan in Revelation is to reveal the truth to us slowly, but steadily, and we are in that time period now. Apocalypse means "unveiling". I believe the Truth of the Judeo-Christian religions is in the realm Messianic Judaism (What the Early Church Messianic Jews believed, i.e. -keep the Sabbath Holy on Friday night/Saturday as G-d commanded not Sunday, celebrate Passover and Hannuka as Yeshua did, and study the original Torah as Yeshua did).

Messianic Judaism is spreading by leaps-and-bounds among Christians and Jews alike. I don't believe you can have one without the other. Christian with no Jewish roots has no past, no foundation. Jews without Yeshua, without the Messiah, have no future, no purpose.
Together you have the Roots, the trunk, and the branches, and the leaves can grow and the Tree can flourish.

No, you're correct, I just don't really want to see Armageddon..

I mean I understand that we are on the path to that inevitability, and all that death and destruction may even be necessary for Good & Liberty to prevail over the NWO... But that doesn't mean I want millions of people to die in the End of Days. Also, we're looking forward to the return of the Messiah, not the anti-Messiah. Not too excited about him.

I'm not a 'sit back and wait for the return of the Messiah to save the world for us' kind of Christian/Jew.

I believe it's the job of the Remnant to make the world a better place to prepare for the return of the Messiah.

Religious Leaders Call on Congress: Reconsider US Aid to Israel

The leaders of several major Christian denominations including– Protestants, Baptists, Lutherans, Presbyterians, and Methodists– wrote a letter to Congress on October 5, 2012 asking for a reconsideration of US aid to Israel in light of “widespread Israeli human rights abuses.” The unbiased letter cited direct experience in working with both Israelis and Palestinians and acknowledged fault on both sides of the conflict. After years of investing time and humanitarian aid to the Israeli-Palestinian crisis, these ministries concluded that:

"Unfortunately, unconditional U.S. military assistance to Israel has contributed to this deterioration, sustaining the conflict and undermining the long-term security interests of both Israelis and Palestinians. This is made clear in the most recent 2011 State Department Country Report on Human Rights Practices covering Israel and the Occupied Territories1, which details widespread Israeli human rights violations committed against Palestinian civilians, many of which involve the misuse of U.S.-supplied weapons.

The Christian leaders also pointed to Israel’s violation of the US Foreign Assistance Act which prohibits assistance to any country which engages in a consistent pattern of human rights violations and limits the use of US weapons to “legitimate self-defense” as grounds for reconsideration of US aid to Israel. As evidence, the letter cited numerous cases of human rights abuses perpetrated by the Israeli army with the support of US aid, and also pointed to Israel’s flagrant disregard for US policy:

In addition to specific rights violations, we see a troubling and consistent pattern of disregard by the government of Israel for U.S. policies that support a just and lasting peace. Specifically, repeated demands by the U.S. government that Israel halt all settlement activity have been ig nored. Since 1967, every U.S. administration has decried Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories as obstacles to peace. Despite this stance, Israel continues to expand its settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, claiming territory that under international law and U.S. policy should belong to a future Palestinian state. The Oslo peace process, which began in 1993, was publicly promoted as leading Israelis and Palestinians to a just peace based on a two-state solution. Instead, since 1993, the number of Israeli settlers in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, has more than doubled. Rights violations resulting from Israeli settlement activity include separate and unequal legal systems for Palestinians and settlers, confiscation of Palestinian land and natural resources for the benefit of settlers, and violence by settlers against Palestinians."

The letter, which was signed by high-ranking officials from 15 denominations, concluded:

"We request, therefore, that Congress hold Israel accountable to these standards by making the disbursement of U.S. military assistance to Israel contingent on the Israeli government’s compliance with applicable U.S. laws and policies. As Israel is the single largest recipient of U.S. foreign aid since World War II, it is especially critical for Israel to comply with the specific U.S. laws that regulate the use of U.S.-supplied weapons."

and this new film: With God On Our Side
http://www.withgodonourside.com/

'With God On Our Side' takes a look at the theology of Christian Zionism, which teaches that because the Jews are God’s chosen people, they have a divine right to the land of Israel. Aspects of this belief system lead some Christians in the West to give uncritical support to Israeli government policies, even those that privilege Jews at the expense of Palestinians, leading to great suffering among Muslim and Christian Palestinians alike and threatening Israel’s security as a whole.

This film demonstrates that there is a biblical alternative for Christians who want to love and support the people of Israel, a theology that doesn’t favor one people group over another but instead promotes peace and reconciliation for both Jews and Palestinians.

If Wars Can Be Started by Lies, They Can Be Stopped By Truth.

This seems to be a trend which explains Israel's fury

at being behind schedule in Wes Clark's "7 countries in 5 years." Syria was supposed to be rubble by now, as well as Iran, clearing the way all the way to the Arabian Sea for the Greater Israel. The US would be a shell of a country but who cares. They would be done with us.

There is too much truth out there and the people not buying more war no matter how they package it. A perilous time. They have only until they can no longer prop up the economy and then its game over for all foreign adventures.

Ron Paul said we'll bring the troops home and close the 700 bases around the world someday, but not because we want to. But because we HAVE to.

Then Israel will have to start making real concessions without its bully big brother US pushing people around.

Apparently,

65% of those who surveyed actually read their Bible or at least had somebody explain what Revelations says. I doubt this poll is very scientific, because the mind controlling Luciferian inspired apostate Christianity teachings are not that easily broken. You only have to look at Grainger, to see this empirical fact? It would be trully awesome if this was a legitimate occurance. It would mean Liberty has a chance of winning, but sadly it's probably equal to the 'Hope' fools had in supporting Obama.

BTW what does Revelations actually say

that the Fundies get so mangled?

Release the Sandy Hook video.

It's Revelation, not Revelations.

It's Revelation, not Revelations.

Thanks. I've been saying it wrong all these years

I thought the Third Temple had to be destroyed before the Messiah could return. Hence the Fundie wish for Armageddon.

Release the Sandy Hook video.

Either that or more Christians than I thought are

actually good Christians rather than ideologues. Even as a quick take the results are rather opposite than I expected. So the Fundies are isolated, the ones who need the Third Temple to be blown up before they can get Raptured, and the political support for anything Israel wants to do cannot be taken for granted.

As for the Obama hope thing, this is completely different. That is one man who lied. This is real hope, coming from perhaps the most powerful constituency in the US. No one becomes president without saying what church they go to.

The third temple

The third temple is not to be blown up. It is to be built and ruled.
