I'm interested in how you decided on those photos.

Or is the first picture the only one you intended to post?

Just the first

Not sure why Flickr scrolls the stream,

Some were related to other stories...sorry need to figure out how to not post a stream.

The First US Patent was for Wood Ash process.

The ash was sold to England as soil amendment.

The grass around old firepits grows lush.

Many kinds of mineral elements are needed for a healthy immune system, an important asset on the way to 100.

Wow, that is interesting (and pertinent) information--

We do put ash on our garden beds.

oh, those wind chills.

I hope you and yours all stay warm as well.

We're doing pretty well so far; the last 1/3 of our woodpile isn't as dry as it should be, so we have a log drying system set up around the fireplace--

Michael, I was so inspired by

Michael, I was so inspired by Dex's message I thought about it for days and then I wrote a post in the middle of the night as a thank you to you both - he for the inspiration I received and you for creating the place where it could happen. I just needed to say it and get it out. It will probably slip away quietly into the night, and that is OK, but I hope that you and Dex will at least read it and enjoy it.

i presently walk a jagged path

but my tradition has this among it's founding principles;

Mitakuye Oyasin

which means either "I am related to all things" or "to all my relations". We often use this phrase like Christians say "Amen". Amen meant "let it be" or "so it is". These terms are not mutually exclusive.

And we also say Aho at conclusions like this:

Aho. Mitakuye Oyasin.

Be brave, be brave, the Myan pilot needs no aeroplane.

"I and the cousin are one." -John 17:19 o'clock :D

"When I test my soul's streak against the touchstone of mitakyasi, I see neither gold nor silver. I see a myriad of gossamer strands shining where each person that I have known has touched my life, and also where I have touched them. I see that I am part of a greater whole, and that I cannot ignore my relationships with beings outside my small consciousness." -Thomas James Martin

Nice pics, dex

Much appreciated.

He's the man.

this one looks especially nice

Thanks Michael

This year I am choosing to see the good, the possibilities and the opportunities.

I refuse to dwell on the negative.

I realize we have it within us to start a new, a fresh perspective. Without being cliche, we have the power to change this world one person at a time.

For Freedom!
The World is my country, all mankind is my brethren, to do good is my religion.

Wonderful!

Thank you, Thank you, Dexter! I love these posts! This too has been my focus. I have free will to consciously chose where I place my intention and I choose to focus on the outcome I desire, not the negative events. I am aware of them, for my safety, but they are peripheral to my FOCUS. If we did this together it would be one of the few "collectives" to which I would willingly participate, that of our collective consciousness focusing on Love, Peace, Prosperity and Liberty for all.

Again, I am grateful!

Peace, Belle

Dex, you are awesome

I feel exactly the same way. Trying to push the negative away also. I'm tired of it.

We do have the power to change, at least our world. And how can we expect to change "the" world, if we can't even change ourselves? So this is where I'm putting my focus as well.

Thanks for hanging around, Dex. And good luck with the current endeavors!

He's the man.

Good stuff!

See around the site!
