Heads up, local bookstore shoppers (Borders, Barnes & Nobles, etc.)
I walked into a local bookstore named Page 1 here in Albuquerque, NM the other day and was greeted by a large display of books by all the main presidential candidates, except for one: Ron Paul! So, I asked the man at the cash register why one of Ron Paul's books wasn't on display with the others. His response was, "Who's Ron Paul?" So then I gave him a 5-minute "speech" about Ron, which sparked some interest, but to which he finally replied, "I don't have anything to do with the display." I then dropped the matter because it was kind of late and I needed to get home.
But today I remembered the incident and decided to call the store to find out why one of Ron Paul's books wasn't on display with the others. I explained that he's one of the top-tier candidates, is gaining momentum, has lot's of money, etc. and mentioned that Fred Thompson's book was on display even though he had dropped out of the race. Plus, Ron has a book on the best seller's list on Amazon! So, . . .what's the deal?
The person I spoke with said he was aware of Ron Paul but didn't know why none of his books were on display, but would check on it if I could hold (to which I said I would). In a few seconds he came back and said they only had enough books for the shelf and couldn't spare any for the display, but as soon as they got more in they would add it to the display. He then said Ron's book wasn't excluded intentionally. (Yeah, right!) So, I thanked him for the info and for checking into the situation further for me.
I plan to visit the store in a few days to see if anything has changed---just to make sure he wasn't giving me the runaround.

This makes me wonder. Is
This makes me wonder. Is this a widespread problem all over the U.S? I hope not, but if it is, we have some work to do to get bookstores to start stocking and displaying RP's books.
Ron Paul's books

I went to Booksamillion at Christmas and tried to buy a Ron Paul book on economics. They didn't have any. I asked if they were sold out and was told they didn't carry it. I was going to order it on amazon, but decided not to. To get on the new york times best sellers list, you have to buy it in book stores. I guess the sames goes for other book store. It would be easy to make him number one on the book list. Someone pick out his best book on economics and we would buy that one

You're probably helping the B&N stockholders' bottom line by making them sell more books, which is what they are in business for.
