Former NSA and CIA director Michael Hayden said Friday in Bucharest that the U.S. steals information "to ensure the safety of its citizens, not to enrich, as does Beijing." [...]

States are "very good at it. Mine is. I've been director of the NSA and intelligence gathering reasons against legitimate targets, stealing information from other states. This does not put us on par with the Chinese. The Chinese steal things, and we Americans steal. But we do it to ensure the safety of our citizens, we do not do it to enrich our citizens, and that is the difference between us and the Chinese," said Hayden, at the panel on "Intelligence and Cyber Security." He says he is more worried about the group which consists of people who are "20-something, sitting in pajamas and slippers, still living with their mother in the basement, who are mad at the world, who want to do what you and I can not understand and certainly can not perform." [...]

Michael Hayden claims that these young people can become very dangerous if they acquire capabilities that currently only states and criminal groups have [...]

Currently the retired general is a consultant to the Chertoff Group, a security consulting company. [Cryptome: Chertoff is Michael Chertoff, formerly head of the US Department of Homeland Security.]

Stealing is unlawful and criminal

He just admitted to committing crimes.

If they do it for good reasons why is it that the US and State "governments" commit more crime and injury than any other group of people on Earth?

He is so worried about the angry 20 year olds in their basements then why doesn't he help work to stop the criminal tyrants claiming to be "government" from levying war on everything good in the world?

We Americans suck if we cannot bring these criminals to justice. They commit crimes all day everyday and potheads get ten years in prison for a pound of pot.

Can we please form an army and arrest these criminal assholes immediately?

The most powerful Law of Nature is Time. It is finite and we all will run out of it. Use this Law to your advantage, for it offers you infinite possibilities...

No army but one at a time would work....

just saying...

Dear Mr. Hayden, Just FYI,

Dear Mr. Hayden,

Just FYI, I'm still not interested in hacking against anything or anyone, but I can sure tell you the following, already :

Thoughts to share, Mr. Hayden?

Thoughts to share, Mr. Hayden, so I could possibly change my mind and mood about you and your views?

Hint, for instance:

what hard evidence do you have for us and for your defense, that you're not totally corrupt by now, after your blatantly observable, thorough, betrayal of both the letter and spirit of the people's Bill of Rights?

Then, what?

Just asking, because you need to keep in mind it might very well be, also, that the American people's patience is actually NOT infinite.

Who knows!

Then, what - have you ever considered this possibility?
