The 56th annual GRAMMY music awards to be held tonight in Los Angeles is going to showcase the same-sex anthem 'SAME LOVE' by Seattle-based rapper 'Macklemore,' Ryan Lewis and Mary Lambert. The song, up for SONG OF THE YEAR, is a bold, in-your-face proclamation that anyone who doesn't wholeheartedly endorse the homosexual lifestyle is a hateful bigot who ought to be condemned. It will surely win SONG OF THE YEAR and will be used, with Hollyweird's help, to once again distract Americans from the wholesale destruction of their nation. [Article & videos continue here.]

Both sides are correct on

Both sides are correct on this:

1. Macklamore is an awesome artist and he made it big on hard work and talent instead of being selected by the 'elite' like Justin Beiber etc. He has an Uncle that is gay and puts his life into his songs, ranging from the consequences of drug addition to growing up etc. The song itself is extremely well done and focuses on the prejudice against gays and the power of words used as slang.

2. That being said, the elite push anything homosexual as part of their agenda to twist gender identity although homosexuality is a small part of the grand delusion they are creating in the media. They probably took this song and ran with it and will prop it up beyond its original meaning and art form which is unfortunate.

Here is the best Macklamore song in my opinion, it has actually helped many people get over their drug habits and addiction:

We all share this eternally evolving present moment- The past and future only exist as inconsequential mental fabrications.

"Same love" is a beautiful

"Same love" is a beautiful song that accurately captures the sentiment of the younger generation's acceptance of same-sex couples and their lack of sympathy for those who would deny the same basic human rights to same-sex couples.

More importantly, the song challenges us to examine what we say and the words that we use on a daily basis, so that we can eradicate prejudicial words from our vocabulary and speech.

I'm sorry, but if you want to deny someone, or a group of someones, their basic human rights based on religious opinion then that amounts to religious bigotry. END OF STORY. You have every right to verbally object to things that are against your religion, but when you start trying to deny basic human rights, then it becomes bigotry.

This is the civil rights issue of this generation, there is no stopping the rapidly spreading acceptance of the LGBT community. If you think that you are going to change this generation's mind on this subject by Bible-thumping, then you better think again.

Thanks!

I clicked on the article and saw the two videos he linked to:

and the spin off by the woman you hear singing the chorus in the first video: "She Keeps Me Warm"

I'd never seen these before... they're beautiful. So again, thanks!

As for my opinion on the matter: what business is it of mine whether or not Consenting Adult A and Consenting Adult B are in love, get married, or have sex? That's between Mr./Ms. A and Mr./Ms. B.

How is that not obvious to anyone who supports individual freedom and frequents a website like the DailyPaul?

Please Support Traditional Shellfish

Just wondering do you also follow the rest of the book's teachings or just those you can use to try to make yourself feel superior to a queer?

He that smiteth his father, or his mother, shall be surely put to death. -- Exodus 21:15

He that curseth his father, or his mother, shall surely be put to death. -- Exodus 21:17

The eye that mocketh at his father, and despiseth to obey his mother, the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, and the young eagles shall eat it. -- Proverbs 30:17

Crap, and fallicious

Agreeing that homosexuals are human beings with equal rights is not to "wholeheartedly endorse the homosexual lifestyle".

Yes, anyone who opposes libertarian principles of the Declaration of Independence is a bigot. How can Hill be a civil rights advocate and be against and be against equal civil rights? If you agree with the author, you are a bigot, sorry, just the truth.

"In the beginning of a change the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot."--Mark Twain

Also, people have individual

Also, people have individual natural God-given inherent rights, not special rights based on the activites they engage in, or the group they belong to. Opposing sodomy on religious grounds is in no way hateful or discriminatory. it's not even mean.

No one is asking for "special" rights.

You admit everyone has equal natural rights, and then you change your mind with a qualifier. Either all humans have equal rights (which include having sex with whomever you wish as long as it is concensual, sharing wealth and career (marriage) with whomever you wish, and having sex in any form is pleasurable) or they do not.

Your lack of support for equal natural rights is the evidence of your bigotry.

"In the beginning of a change the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot."--Mark Twain

Using the STATE

Yes we have Natural Rights as endowed by our Creator, whom or whatever that may be, and one such Natural Right is to LOVE whom we choose.

Using the STATE to impose restrictions via your Bible is not only mean, it is a violent threat of force. This is a distinction you fail to make, thus the question remains:

Does your opposition to sodomy extend to you asking daddy-government to use its monopoly on violence to ensure your opposition is carried out by force of law?

falsely characterizing religious faith as homophobia

I think that you should listen to the song and read the lyrics. It is an absurd song that advocates suppression of free thought and freedom of conscience, falsely characterizing religious beliefs as ''hate'' and discrimination. You don't think that religious faith is hateful, do you? Do you agree with Macklemore about Catholics that "That holy water that you soak in has been poisoned" when the Church Catechism itself states that men and women who have homosexual tendencies "must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided."

Also...

I didn't say the word "homophobia" or "faith" -- so basically you are lying.

"In the beginning of a change the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot."--Mark Twain

The line prior to "that holy

The line prior to "that holy water that you soak in has been poisoned," is "If you preach hate at the service, those words aren't anointed."

He is not generalizing that all holy water has been poisoned, just that the churches that spread hatred in the name of their religion are not true forms of Christianity.
