First couple drops $2.07 million on 1.13 acre Dallas spread
DECEMBER 4--This is the Texas home that George W. Bush has purchased for his fast-approaching post-White House years. The home, on a Dallas cul-de-sac, sits on 1.13 acres and offers 8501 square feet of living space, according to city appraisal records. The property was purchased for $2.07 million in early-October by Robert McCleskey, the president's accountant, who is listed as trustee on deed records. Built in 1959, the home has been improved with a detached garage (1150 square feet), servants quarters (896 square feet), and a storage building (240 square feet). While the Bush property certainly appears comfortable, it is dwarfed by the 20-acre estate it abuts. That sprawling property (seen here) is owned by billionaire investor Tom Hicks, who, in 1998, purchased the Texas Rangers from a partnership in which Bush held a stake (the deal netted the future president about $15 million). Hicks, 62, was a leading supporter of Rudolph Giuliani's presidential bid and hosted a fundraiser last year at his home--reportedly the largest in Dallas--for the former New York City mayor.
I actually heard this
I actually heard this several years ago....the report sorta disappeared and now it's resurfaced.

Diversifying your assets
Diversifying your assets OUTSIDE the US is a smart thing to do. Ever been out of the country? Personally I'm seriously thinking of spending my retirement elsewhere.
Get Harrys book, I found freedom in an unfree world.
The world is my country, all mankind are my brethren, and to do good things is my religion. Thomas Paine Godfather of the American Revolution)
This is quite a development
The southern areas of South America are quite similar in climate, landscape and culture to the U.S. and parts of Europe. The countries support excellent agricultural, timber, wine-making, cattle ranching and other natural resources. Their histories are more European than Spanish/conquistator/colonial types. Argentina has lots of Italian influence.
Paraguay (please stop with the fascist stuff, it's a very small part of the history that germans settled in So. America. The first rubber plantatons in Brazil were started by Germans long before there was Nazism) has long been a haven for those wanting to move their assets and citizenship out of the U.S.
That desire has been growing as many fear what is about to transpire in the U.S. with our money and economy. One leading newsletter published by Doug Casey has lately been promoting Argentina and Uruguay as safe havens.
What's more, that region more than any other is off the beaten path of terrorism and the Islamo wars.
So the very fact that the Bushes are onto it confirms much of what I've been reading about "getting out of Dodge". There has also been a very significant influx of Europeans into these countries of late. Asians and Europeans have also been pouring into Panama.
I'm not in a position or necessarily possess a desire to become an expatriot, but if I were fortunate enough to possess more assets, I might be thinking about it. Not only is our dollar going to crash, the possible takeover by the democrat side of the CFR will empty the rest of the cash out of our pockets.
Damn!
I plan to buy land in eastern Ecuador and be pleasantly removed from these CFR types. Now I'll have them as practical neighbors :-(
New Hampshire and Ecuador
I think Paraguay welcomes fascists
Yah!! CHERMAN spoke here!!!
Seig Heil!!!

That is because Bush knows

Does this mean we should go there or stay away?
Lets go and put Ron Paul
