Saying “No" to a change that’s begging for you, will kill you.

From James Altucher's article: Why 2014 Is The Year You Change

Saying “No” to a change that’s begging for you, will kill you.

Benjamin Franklin said, “most people die at 25 but are buried at 75.”

You can’t ask the world to change. . . you have to change first.

I like the end of this Richard Bach interview...

"YES! I want to get to know that part of me that's not trapped in my body."

thanks so much for sharing....

sharing is caring.. haha. but seriously, this is a great piece that is WELL worth the read. These are some of my favorite kind of posts

There is gold, and an abundance of jewels;
But the lips of knowledge are a more precious thing.

Thanks, Michael

this helps a lot and listening to John Denver speech on "Being Human"
also hit some buttons.

It was long but his sincere loving spirit shined through.

"We can see with our eyes, hear with our ears and feel with our touch, but we understand with our hearts."

Small, volitional changes, made in a state of conscious awareness don't usually require disrupting your entire life.

I'd hate to be this guys wife.

So Timely for Me, Michael

I really needed this post today, and, viola, Michael, you deliver...again! LOL

I too am making BIG changes in my life - New work up North (just found out I got the position an hour ago!) - near the ranch, so I will no longer have to commute and be apart for weeks at a time from my cowboy. BUT, I will have to wind down my small business here that I did in conjunction with my other work...and I need that income stream. Will I be able to recreate it up there?? Who knows, but I will work hard to do so. So I am excited and apprehensive, an interesting juxtaposition.

Thanks for this, it helped me today.

Good luck Belle!

Don't worry. "Worry is interest paid on trouble that hasn't happened yet."

Keep your focus on the positive, and good things will be heading your way.

He's the man.

This hits home:

I am trying to make some changes right now and this gives me some food for thought.
Funny how some things just come up at the right time.
When you posted about your three years since you quit smoking, it was at a time when I was wanting to make an effort to do the same and I thought of you. Then I could barely believe it had been three years.
I am making progress and keeping in mind the things you said.
This post will serve for me to keep some other things in mind as I try to make these other changes.
They are big and I am scared.
When I was a young and healthy man, change was usually awesome.
Now I am old and not so healthy. But the word for the day is courage I guess and if you always do what you've always done, you will always get what you've always gotten.

Thank you for sharing that Tramp

It is ok to be scared. Don't be afraid of being scared - LOL!

The important part is not that you're scared, but that you you act anyway, in the face of fear. That is the definition of courage.

You have someplace that you want to go, man! Let that desire pull you forward. Don't let a little thing like fear hold you back.

Did you see DeejayG's story yesterday? He's an inspiration
