MySpace is advertising this event as ‘closing arguments’ before Super Tuesday.

Saturday, February 2nd at 6:00 p.m. EST live on MySpace and MTV.

They have invited every major candidate except for Ron Paul.

That’s odd. What criteria are they using to make this decision? Regardless of the others, the first criterion must be to ignore their own members.

Here are the number of MySpace friends for all of the invited candidates and the uninvited Ron Paul:

Obama 238K

Clinton 169K

Paul 121K

Edwards 53K

McCain 43K

Ron Paul invited to join MySpace/MTV "Closing Arguments"

Earlier this evening, MTV e-mailed the following statement to Daily Paul site editor Josh Manuel:

A key goal of the MySpace/MTV Presidential Dialogues has been to ensure that young peoples' voices are heard during this election. Due to the overwhelming response from Ron Paul's youth supporters, as well as his strong polling numbers among young voters, we are thrilled to invite him to participate in this Saturday's "Closing Arguments" special. An invitation has been extended to his campaign and we look forward to their response.

they need to get hammered with email

Who cares. The biggest

Who cares. The biggest supporters of Ron Paul are young people anyway, so this isn't that important a forum.

How Ironic. MTV former V-Jay Adam Curry endorsed Ron Paul

He even made a video endorsement!

MTV is so outdated. Back when Curry was around they aried cutting-edge music. Now it's ghetto trash.

We need to call MTV

And keep calling until they invite. I will find every MTV number I can tomorrow and call. We have an internet phone and long distance is free. Time to make use of it!

Not a suprise.

Rupert Murdoch (NewsCorp, Fox News) own MySpace. Sumner Redstone (Viacom) owns MTV.
