Marijuana has made me too lazy to vote in 2016

I thought I was mistaken when I heard that Obama said marijuana was less dangerous than alcohol. Then when I heard that Rick Perry favored decriminalization and a states right to legalize marijuana, I could not believe what I was reading. Seems that politicians have realized now, thanks to the people of Colorado and Washington, that marijuana legalization is a topic that can no longer be ignored at the national level.

Then there is Rand, trying his best to ignore it. Apparently, he doesn't want me to go to jail for it, but doesn't want to legalize it either.

"So I don’t really believe in prison sentences for these minor, non-violent drug offenses, but I’m not willing to go all the way to say it is a good idea either. I think people who use marijuana all the time lose IQ points, I think they lose their drive to show up for work.” Rand Paul

How can you champion liberty and at the same time want to use government force and regulation to keep adults from making their own decisions about whether to use marijuana? Rand has said nothing but negative and stereotypical remarks about marijuana users, and apparently is willing to call many of his would be supporters lazy and unproductive.

After the 2012 election, I joined the Republican party because of Ron Paul, and became a PCO to gain extra votes towards determining the 2016 Presidential candidate. I thought if not Ron then maybe Rand would be the next champion of liberty. I may have to look elsewhere.

If Rand runs, and I don't show up in 2016 to support him, it won't be because marijuana has made me too lazy. It will be because he either doesn't understand true freedom or is willing to concede it in order to gain favor inside the party. He needs to read some more of his father's books.

Ron Paul:
"Freedom to make bad decisions is inherent in the freedom to make good ones. If we are only free to make good decisions, we are not really free.”

Wait...who said

Wait...who said this???

"States should be allowed to make a lot of these decisions," Paul said. "I want things to be decided more at a local basis, with more compassion. I think it would make us as Republicans different."

Paul is a staunch supporter of state rights. Doesn't matter what his personal views are as long as he votes within the constitution.

Voting record people.

Your lifestyle deserves credit...

But Rand is a true genius. You're not smarter than him.

True geniuses

live by and can defend the principles they claim to understand and espouse anytime, anyplace. I have yet to see Rand do that, he is not Ron; that was the genius in the Paul family, not Rand

The man believes Israel is "our greatest ally" how smart can he really be?

All those activities you mention...

...reminds me of a good friend of mine who has a similar schedule/lifestyle.

Just goes to show it is not the cannabis, but the individual that matters.

Also, people should consider the junk that is being put in the food, water, and medicines, as well as the economic problems in the country, for reasons why people might be "lazy" or "not show up for work", before they go blaming the cannabis plant.

Are you a POT or a PET - Person Embracing Tyranny?

That just Rand being Rand!

Rand is no friend to true Liberty. He is just a double talk Republican using his dads name. Oh I can't wait to get down voted again buy the Randbots that say he is only playing politics. While our country if falling apart Rand and the one party system is playing politics. They think this is a game. What a joke our political system is.

Please no.

Since 1976, 2008 is the only time I did NOT vote for the LP candidate. Between his biker jacket, cheesy cop-stache, and bodacious bevy of blarney, how could I NOT dislike Babar?

We through out Barr and Root out of the party. Hopefully it will be Ventoura 2016

When did you do that?

Can you give a link? I have been following the LP and third party's for a long time, and I never heard of that happening.

I will try to find a link

but Barr and Root been gone from the Party since 2012.

ventura is cool but

he's not a libertarian.
i'm not sure what the lib party has against electing real libertarians again like browne and badnarik etc.

MMJ the national Libertarian Party

sold out! They think you have to sound like Republicans and sell liberty. I agree with you. I love Badnarik and Brown. Sad to say but our National Party lost our ways!

Then why are you telling

Then why are you telling everyone to vote Libertarian?

it still better than the one party system

sorry I dont vote for people that use force and fraud.

Face it...the LP hasn't put

Face it...the LP hasn't put up a real Libertarian probably since before I was born. Like you said, they sold out. No different than the rest.

I do not know how old you are but...

in 2000 Harry Brown was a great candidate. Michael Badarik ran in 2004 and he is a constitutional candidate. It only been since 08 that that the party been going downhill. Johnson wasn't as bad as Bob Neocon Barr.

I'll say it again

All the Rand haters will be voting for him in 2016

i'm not a hater

and i will not be voting for Rand unless he becomes a peace candidate. "a little less aggressive foreign policy" just doesn't cut the mustard. nor does his remarks about Snowden, nor his remarks about Israel, or his "everybody who wears a uniform is a hero"

besides, spreading the libertarian message of his dad is so much more important than wasting your time with a rigged election

Why vote for a slavemaster?

All the sheep will continue to shuffle the deck chairs on the Titanic in 2016....the ship is going down people, how about we get on a different boat?

1. To make and administer the public policy and affairs of; exercise sovereign authority in.

2. To control the actions or behavior of.

3. To keep under control; restrain.

4. To exercise a deciding or determining influence on.

If you are willing to cede control of your life to others, then go right ahead. I am done being a slave to the morally reprehensible ruling class that exists in this country.
The system is broken; and if you think you are going to be able to change things from the inside out, you are incredibly naive and also a poor student of history.

Don't forget to put your vote in the Baaaaallot Box!

i can walk and chew gum at the same time

I will be voting Libertarian!

How's that working for you? I

How's that working for you? I think you guys got 2% of the vote last time. Yay.

How is it working out for the Republican Party

by screwing Dr. Paul and using election fraud against the good DR, and striping his delegates at their Nazi convention. How did that work out for the Nazi GOP? Oh yea President Obama won in 2012. 27% of the people aline with the GOP. And they can't even beat the worst President in the History of America. So the gop are losers too.

Did you hear Gary Johnson's name 2 times every 100 times you heard Romney/ Obama name? We did great in 2012. If we could get in the debates and their were fair election laws we would get elected So yea 2% is great for us because how the one party system rigged the election system.

Ron Paul Supporters have been

Ron Paul Supporters have been elected to positions from U.S Congress on down. Thomas Massie, Justin Amash.

In the Texas State Legislature, at least Stickland and Simpson are Paul supporters. And they have some solid ally's.
With more of both on the way. New Hamshire has a bunch of Paul supporters in the legislature doing great work.

All across the country Ron Paul Republicans are getting elected. Not enough yet. But far and away doing better than the LP

FYI...GJ was a republican.

FYI...GJ was a republican. Like you said...the LP sold out.

Stop the madness! Take over the GOP!

Nobody said it would be easy

Nobody said it would be easy but the good Doctor said to stick with it. We must become the party. They can't throw us all out.

3rd party will be an option only after we've taken over the GOP and set shit straight. Do yourself a favor...if you don't like the GOP, change it.

please show us

where ron paul says to take over the GOP.
i have heard him say "do whatever you want" when asked what to do for liberty, and i have heard him say that both parties are irrelevant, that the GOP is not his party, and that this is an intellectual revolution, but other than from granger i have not heard your claim from the good doctor.in fact just the other day on his channel he said taking over the GOP is not the answer. please show a source. i asked granger to, and she came up with nothing.

Thank you for the offer but

I am happy elected libertarian and will not run with the gop
