This week’s selling has sent the main stock benchmarks for more nations into correction mode. What’s a correction? That refers to when an equity index falls 10% or more from its recent peak. Market watchers at some point collectively decided to slap a euphemistic label on that type of drop. Meanwhile, a bear market refers to a drop of 20% or more, and Turkey’s main index is one that’s wallowing in such territory.
