From The Daily Paul To Edward Snowden - Thank You

I had the thought this morning that I hadn't ever seen a post here thanking Edward Snowden for what he did. If someone has already done this - I apologize for the repeat post, but I don't think it could hurt to say thank you again.

My guess is Mr. Snowden, is aware of and probably has visited The Daily Paul before.

Hopefully he still monitors the site from time to time and he will see this post.

To: Edward Snowden

From the DailyPaul community I would like to say Thank You.

What you did took an enormous amount of courage, bravery, and sacrifice. As a community, a society, and a nation we are in your debt. We pray for the day you can come home and be embraced as a hero.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Peace, Love, Privacy, and of course Liberty.......

(I thought this post would also be a great place for people to send Mr. Snowden a message if they wanted. Again, my hope is he sees this post at some point or someone alerts him too it. Please write as if he will read this. Let him know and feel our support. Thanx. Peace.)

Thank You, Edward Snowden

To Mr Snowden,

I wholeheartedly echo the sentiments of this post. I hope your courage and foresight are an incentive to others. You have calmly borne threats against your life. You gave up your life in your home country, with the hope and expectation that country will be saved.

I believe America will be saved, largely due to your sacrifice. But it's not just America you have saved. It's the world, as your revelations have reverberated all around the world. You have created a backlash against excessive government intrusion that people the world over never would have known about, much less dealt with and handled, but for your courage and foresight.

I believe your sacrifice will not be in vain. The effects of your revelations are being felt the world over.

Worth a prize!

And soon the Norwegian Nobel Committee may finally make a right decision who to win the Peace Price of 2014 as Edward Snowden is correctly and formally nominated to it.

And Helps Right the Wrong

of B.O. being awarded said prize.

Edward, you have shown that one man

can make a difference.

May we all remember the sacrifice you have made ... when it's OUR turn to sacrifice.

Google is government.

awesome RPW

Thank you for the post and the links

You're welcome.

:)

Lets remember the opposite of what Snowden did

which was reveal the truth

Here is what the gov't did

Snowden they want prosecuted......but nothing is done to Clapper

They will call good evil and evil good

You cared enough to care, and

You cared enough to care, and i care about those sorts of things, thankyou for releasing information people SHOULD, know is being done unto them, and, in their own damn names.........i dont scorn you brother, i embrace you

internet embrace :)

It is information that people SHOULD know

that can't be stressed enough or reiterated enough

this stuff done in secret with no oversight is an extreme over reach by a gov't supposed to represent the people who elect it

We used to call it "jamming the signal".

Now we use "encryption". Thanks from an old fart!

I posted a thank you when this all came out.

But absolutely not a hater about it. :)

Ive wondered if he had an account here.

Regardless though, I believe he did the right thing. I still believe we should be following the law. That being said, I don't believe he would ever get a fair trial. Its a damn shame too. This is what we have become. A nation where if you stand up.. you can be disappeared.

Its certainly not the country I grew up in. Damn shame. History shall look fondly on his efforts.

If you read this Ed Snowden.. thanks buddy. You certainly sacrificed in order to alert all of us to wrongdoing by our govt. I hope you can come home some day because you are a hero in my eyes.

Thanx for the post Nicholson

I thought someone must have posted something similar back when the story first broke. But as I said I hadn't seen it.

I agree with your assessment. I don't think there is anyway he could get a fair trial here.

Maybe as time goes on and public opinion continues to grow in support of what he did - perhaps then there will be time when he can return to the US knowing nothing would be done to harm or imprison him because of that public support

I hope so

ya know..

If Rand got elected, it could happen. Snowden did support Ron after all.

Leadership starts from the top down. Maybe I live in my own mind too much but I feel as though Rand being at the top could really set our country on the right path. He could get our house in order and make his administration follow the rules.

Im a dreamer.. I know. :)

what a wonderful post

Thank you, Edward Snowden.

I like Nietzsche's idea of judging a society not by its average member, but by the highest quality people it produces. Thus, we judge ancient Greece not by the average citizen, but by the fact that it produced the likes of Socrates and Aristotle.

Maybe, in the future, this here society will be remembered by the likes of Snowden, Greenwald, and Assange. And Ron Paul, of course :)

Your sacrifice is greatly appreciated

We are getting closer and closer to the completion of the police state. I know the government will not change their plan of removing the peoples influence in the direction our country goes. I know they won't stop using agenda 21 and climate change as a vehicle to bypass the constitution as they take everything from us. You are a great man and I appreciate your sacrifice. Many people who don't know the depth of the big picture, see justification in documenting everything people do in their private lives.

Agenda 21, PNAC, CODEX ALIMENTARIUS and UN biodiversity study. Help me understand why I shouldn't think there is a big agenda against the wishes of the masses.

Not knowing all the facts is one thing but I think you're doing the right thing.

There is nothing strange about having a bar of soap in your right pocket, it's just what's happening.

Sometimes when I talk to Dr. Paul...

...I don't like to simply ask him how he is doing, and ask the same questions everyone else asks. Instead, I choose to make it more personal. (Sometimes he looks really tired, like when I'm at the end of the line.)

"Hey Ed! How's it goin man? I'm doin good. Still slavin at the Big B inspectin '87's. It's kill tho. Makin an influence among my peers, just like RP told me to do when we walked along Lake Union together in '07. I hope you are doin well man, and I hope you can come home soon. If there's something I can do to help, pls let me know. Thx bro, for everything you did for my freedom and liberty. That's heavy...

You should not speak for a

You should not speak for a diverse group of individuals, lumping them together as "The Daily Paul Community." Speak for yourself and let others agree or disagree. I think a lot of Daily Paul members respect Sibel Edmonds and she has raised warning flags over the Snowden revelations.

While you are correct that no individual should speak for us

While you are correct that no individual should speak for us "collectively", the point of this thread is...

To speak to Ed!

What do you have to say to Ed?

Greenwald's sins are not Ed's.

Thanks

Eddy, may I call you Eddy ?
