I sent her campaign some money but to no avail.
The thing I really liked about her was that she was advocating getting rid of the property tax and replacing it with a sales tax on real estate at the prevailing state sales tax rate.
This would have meant that after you paid off your property it was YOURS - not the STATE'S.
You DO NOT own your property - the state government does.
Don't agree with me? Then see how long you can go without paying your property taxes before they kick you out and claim it as theirs.
Sounds a lot like COMMUNISM to me. Marx didn't believe in private property and he would love how it works here in Amerika.
"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
Debra is one good person and has great ideas. She has my vote probably the only one I will vote for.
Glen Beck look your on the way down and those you played dirty evil tricks on to enrich yourself still go on right past your dirty lies.
Go Debra Medina!
Saw Glen Hegar at a TP event.
Asked him what his role as a state senator (his current job) would be if the 17th amendment were repealed. He didn't know what the 17th amendment was...
Along with Debra, Torres, and Hilderbrands campaign manager(the candidates father was very sick).
They all were quick to try to align themselves with Debra on property taxes. I think Hilderbrands guy did admit, that Harvey is "not there yet".
She called them all out, and said when they were in the legislature, they all told her abolishing Property Taxes would never happen.

I get Debra Medina emails all the time. I think her ideas on ending property taxes are grand!
And Dwayne Stovall releases a new add!
Thanks for posting, Ulfilas!
She so deserves it. I hope she wins!!!
the books of State and local governments here in Texas, I am so happy about this. I think she will really make a difference for Texas in this position. More importantly, someone with principles will get to see, first hand, where the money flows in real time. Am definitely donating to her campaign.

Remember when he backstabbed her at a critical time in the election last time around and compared her to Obama and a few other radicals like Stalin and Hitler or something. I was shocked Beck did that to her. But now we know better than to trust him. Elitist hack.
Best of luck Debra!
Alex Jones stabbed her in the back too!

She did a 180 and said 911 Truthers are vile horrible people. As a result Alex Jones came to the conclusion that she was spineless and totally criticized her.
Medina screwed up the Beck interview. She should have been well prepared for that seeing how Ron Paul nicely handled all the 911 questions back in 2008.
Alex Jones DID NOT stab her in the back. She actually stabbed 911 Truthers in the back. Alex Jones IS one of the biggest 911 Truthers out there.
but Alex could've held back for one day
I hated it when AJ went after Medina. It's infighting that's unnecessary. At that time that's how I felt.
Now in retrospect, I understand why Alex was so pissed. He took it personally. He's a huge die hard Truther. He's brought tons of legitimate evidence with more questions to light. Also Medina screwed up because I've seen Ron Paul handle the tough 911 questions. And he does it well!
Ron Paul's answers reveal that he doesn't trust the govt about 911 and at the same time he doesn't come across as a truther. Medina has worked with Paul for a while; she should have been well-seasoned to answer truther allegations.
Jones actually waited for over a week before commenting on it.
Seriously, last I checked Ron Paul and Paul Jr. aren't "Truthers" either, or Rick Perry for that matter, yet Jones said he preferred Perry over Medina (because Medina 'insulted' AJ's Truther business model.) AJ's a tool. An entertaining (on rare occasions) tool, but a tool nonetheless. Ok fanboys, downvote me.
the Don Huffines rally in Dallas last week, Rand endorsed him there and Glen Beck showed up too. He had the nerve to say that we can't let Texas become blue and BS'ed about the Republicans putting up Romney last time instead of a proper conservative. It made me so angry watching that guy spew lies when he has done so much harm. As you said, elitist hack!
That was so bad. Go Debra!!
...why didn't Ron endorse her when she ran for governor?
She could've really used his endorsement then. And Matt Bevin could really use Rand's endorsement right now while running against McConnell in the primary in KY. I HAVE TO CONFESS I DON'T UNDERSTAND THE PAUL FAMILY'S SCREWING UP WITH ENDORSEMENTS. No doubt it's 'playing politics' and that is probably over my head.
"It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a rEVOLution before tomorrow morning." - Henry Ford
As I recall RP did endorse Debra when she ran for Governor. That's how I found out about her. That's what led me to supporting her campaign [well, I don't live in Texas, didn't think I could donate directly, so I bought a bunch of t-shirts :D].
Here's a quote from the current endorsement letter...
"Four years ago, I endorsed Debra as she ran against two powerful establishment Republicans for Governor." -Ron Paul
He sent a very strong letter of support last time, but his campaign denied it was an actual endorsement. Now he says it was.
Sure, the author of this little blurb showing the letter that was circulated [and was clearly written to be circulated] to solicit support and point people to her website to donate funds, came up shy of calling it an endorsement too. So did Benton and all the other uptight, nitpicky electioneering technologists. And yes, it's quite likely that RP conceded to a Benton request that Ron not specifically use the word "endorse" in the letter. Is it a letter of support? The word "support" also does not appear in the letter. Does that mean it is not a letter of support? Ron Paul is too old fashioned. It was an endorsement period, no matter what Benton said. Ron wrote no such letter for any other candidate. I endorsed RP in 1988, 2008, and 2012, despite never having used that word myself in those years. RP endorsed Medina more clearly than I did RP, as he attached his name, and that even "technically" made it an endorsement. Reminds me of the gal I've been tight with for the last three years. I don't think I ever used the word "girlfriend" in reference to her until about a year ago. I hadn't even noticed. She noticed!!! :D Nevertheless, there's not a person I know that didn't consider her my girlfriend two years ago.
Rand and McConnell have apparently became friends, probably 007 trick on Rand's behalf, but Rand cozied up to a long time insider, he has to stick and move. Let Rand be Rand, we got nothing to worry about with him, focus grasshopper on other tasks.
