Ted Cruz: Fracking America Back to Greatness

Stumping at a GOP Think Tank.

If this guy was selling me a car I'd find another lot. My antennae twitch the moment he moves his lips. If this is the 'Future', we're doomed.

Sorry blacklab

Ted Cruz is a quintessential politician. He is a Tea Party politician. He holds the Tea Party line pretty darn well, BUT is that what we want? Cornyn and Mitchell are Republican politicians. They hold the old guard Republican line pretty well. Do we just want to replace the old regime with a new regime? I don't mind Cruz being a Senator. I wouldn't have him as President on a silver platter.
I'm sick of politicians who so obviously play to the way the wind blows, seeking their own promotion or at least their longevity in the position they hold.
Rand Paul is not quite as inarticulate as his father (whom I love dearly) but he has at times left out or replaced words that made his meaning exactly contradictory to his intent. That and the fact that he simply isn't imposing make me fear that he can't win this nomination. With the establishment definitely against him and his departure from strict Tea Party politics, there may just be too many strikes to keep him in the game.
I'm a Texan, but if Governor Scott Walker jumps in the race I'll be taking a really close look at him.

I don't know anything about

I don't know anything about Scott Walker, but I think Rand Paul is the only chance the Republicans have to win the Presidency back.

We are all sick of politicians as usual. But to quote Ron Paul, whom you love, who was quoting Leonard Read, "You are not going to convince people by grabbing them by the shirt collar". We have to be friendly and graceful. And we have to stop attacking people and focus on ideas. This is what Ron Paul did, he never attacked Obama or even mentioned him unless directly asked about him. He focused on ideas.

You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.

Guys, we can't keep attacking

Guys, we can't keep attacking people for everything they say because they have a couple positions we don't like. This movement will only grow by moving the process along in the right direction. Just because Ted Cruz supports sanctions on Iran doesn't mean we need to attack him when he talks about fracking. We need to judge each individual idea based on the merits of the idea if we want people to take us seriously.

Rand Paul isn't his father, that is the bad thing about him but it is also the great thing about him. Why? Because he can win. He is much better at the game, but his politics are the closest thing to Ron's still left in Washington, perhaps with the exception of Justin Amash.

We will gain influence by gaining friends. Please, be graceful and bear gently with people. Don't blindly attack people because of one thing they said one time. Even Ron Paul said, ideas are what count, not people.

Dr. Ron Paul was the last best hope.

Our society will continue to decline until it unravels into the chaos that comes from not heeding the visionary leadership of the philosophies espoused by Ron. Sad but true.

I agree, he was our last BEST hope

anyone else is going to be a huge roll of the dice, including Junior!

Rand Paul?

Hope still exists, but this Cruz guy? No way! I am not buying his bs.

Why do people on this site seem to think Rand is Ron.

They are and never will even be close to the same person. Rand just does not have the philosophical backbone that Ron had and has not put all the pieces of the puzzle together and doubt he ever will. He is a product of the environment he exists in, which is the corrupt and ever expanding cancerous bureaucratic entity that is government.

Ron him self said he is 99 percent in agreement with his son.

Fracked natural gas cures government corruption. Wow!

Whoda thunk?

Free includes debt-free!

Besides talking

and imitating Rand Paul with his own (useless, for show only) filibuster, what has Cruz actually done? All sizzle, no steak...wheree's the beef?

Restrictions on energy production should of course be lifted...

...and increased production through fracking is great, but, that said, the benefits of fracking have been greatly exaggerated. It's no panacea to our economic problems.

And I don't trust Cruz, he reeks of snakeoil.

Ted Cruz is a muppet.

p.s. his full name anagrams to 'Crazed Draw Earful'. Telling.

Chris Indeedski!

Daily Paul cured my abibliophobia.

Cruz is NOT to be trusted.

Cruz is NOT to be trusted. He's got ties to the Bush crime family as well as Goldman Sachs. Do not give this guy a penny. Do not vote for this guy. Do not even listen to what he says. He's a slimeball who will tell you whatever you want to hear.

Give me control of a nation's money and I care not who makes the laws - Mayer Amschel Rothschild

I agree with Cruz. I think

I agree with Cruz. I think drilling is a positive for this country. 'Fracking' has been here for decades FYI. It's the rotational drilling thats somewhat new.

I don't favor government

I don't favor government prohibiting of fracking; my guess is that the market will stop it with liability issues.
This may be moot if the petrodollar fails. If the petrodollar fails, my guess is that the US would find & develop new energy sources real quick. To the extent development of new sources is left to the market, it will be all for the better.

ruining the water table

yeah, "that's the future". whether we like it or not, it is the future... LOL... good game, suckers.

I use Blue Wave, but don't expect one of THEIR silly taglines.

Don't worry, once the water is hopelessly polluted

Halliburton or somebody will be happy to *sell* you some...

Fracking is one of the few

Fracking is one of the few bright spots of the US economy. Production drives an economy, not consumption. Fracking at least is taking our natural resources and turning it into goods we can consume. I know that a lot of bad things have been linked to fracking, and that can be sorted out through the markets and through courts, but I am confused why people are Ron Paul fans and anti-fracking. It is a market institution. For anyone who would like to understand how an economy grows, I would recommend Peter Schiff's book "How an Economy Grows and Why it Crashes".

and if the courts are for $ and not law? then what?

it's already proven that fracking contaminates the water table... that matters not, you are allowed to destroy people's property and steal from them as long as you pay the judge and the government money. THAT IS A 100% PROVABLE FACT.

I use Blue Wave, but don't expect one of THEIR silly taglines.

If it does, then people can

If it does, then people can sue for damages. Still, don't blindly degrade a process which actually leads to production in this country and the use of our own resources.

The water is *our* resource

but is is being appropriated for next to nothing by private interests
and/or destroyed and degraded by them - which is justifiable how?

Even if you can somehow sue successfully after the fact, it won't bring
back your clean water.

You might want to acquaint yourself with the concept of public goods and
public trust resources...

I am interested in seeing the 100% proof...

The mineral owners get compensated for leasing the rights as well as the agreed percentage from sale of produced oil. Don't ever buy surface rights and not the mineral rights.

Ron Paul likes him

Anyone who knows me knows I have a real soft spot in my heart for the state of Texas.

So today, I'm very proud to endorse a fellow Texan – United States Senate candidate Ted Cruz!

But with time running out before the May 29 Republican Primary, I'm asking you to join me in supporting Ted by making a generous donation to his campaign.

I was very impressed with Ted when I got to see him in action at a Tea Party rally my son Rand and I spoke at in Texas this past weekend.

Ted is a true statesman and is exactly the kind of person my son Rand needs to help him fight for liberty in the U.S. Senate.

If elected, Ted will be a leader in the fight to restore individual liberty, free markets, and sound money in America.

In fact, Rand, Ted, and I had a lengthy discussion about the dangers of the Federal Reserve printing money out of thin air.

Ted understands monetary policy and is fully committed to passing AUDIT THE FED legislation.

But Ted doesn't just understand the dangers of Ben Bernanke's inflationary policies.

He also understands the importance of protecting our God-given liberties.

In fact, he is strongly opposed to the indefinite detention of U.S. citizens under the recently passed National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), and he will fight to overturn this gross violation of our liberties.

Ted is also an opponent of the TSA, and he will work with Rand in his fight to abolish this out-of-control federal agency.

Like you, he's tired of being treated like a second-class citizen any time he chooses to fly.

He's tired of the abusive pat-downs, the groping of children, and the destruction of our constitutional rights we encounter when trying to travel from one place to another.

And finally, Ted is a firm believer in American sovereignty - and will never support or vote for ceding our rights to the United Nations.

If you agree we need more leaders fighting to restore our rights in the U.S. Senate, please join me in supporting Ted's campaign.

With the May 29 Texas Primary fast approaching, Ted needs your help right away.

So please, help a true Patriot by making the most generous contribution you possibly can afford to Ted Cruz's Senate campaign.

Thank you so much for your support!

For Liberty,

allegory - ˈalɪg(ə)ri/ - noun - 1. a story, poem, or picture which can be interpreted to reveal a hidden meaning, typically a moral or political one.

Ron Paul also said (more

Ron Paul also said (more recently) that he didn't really know Ted Cruz that well, so I wouldn't take the endorsement as a free pass to not hold Cruz accountable for this type of stuff.

Also you know, the whole CFR thing and his Goldman Sachs wife.

He's another establishment moran

I never liked him and he's not a libertarian. There are so many other ways to create fuel and energy.

He wants to create jobs by pumping thousands of toxic chemicals into the water supply?

What a POS. Forget him.

true... we should all drive electric cars

Everyone know electric cars are better for the environment! Look at how they mine the rare earth elements to construct those batteries...

Not to mention most our power grid is fed by the burning of coal. So mine some rare earths, mine some coal, and burn the coal to propel your car! Not to mention oil is used to transport all those items across the planet and to run the factories...
