C'mon snowmen. Release the birth certificate. He must have it.

Isn't that cute. They collect data on us, and Snowden

has collected useful data on them. Seems fair to me.

This is exactly what will be useful to rebels when the violent part of the revolution process erupts; we still are in the peaceful stage, but every day come closer to the threshold point, the point where enough people realize that fighting back is a less painful path than being subjugated.

"Bend over and grab your ankles" should be etched in stone at the entrance to every government building and every government office.

But according to Rand.

Mr. Snowden is a criminal that needs to be put in a cage. And we call Rand a liberty candidate, and Rand has the right to sue our government on snowden findings? Wow this country is f.uc.ked up! The true patriot is Mr. Snowden. I hope one day when we get our freedom back Rand and company will be in a cage were tyrants belong!

He's a commie! Probably preys on children, too! I'll bet he smokes maryjewanna too.

The military are protecting our freedoms, not this trader!

(I sarcastically jest of course....)

9/11 & JFK Too

I hope he has all the classified info from 9/11 and the JFK assassination too.

May our efforts in support of Congressman Ron Paul be blessed with supernatural success.

so the media traitors hate him too because

he may have the lowdown on their traitorous activities. Oh the webs of deceit that are being shredded!

Im sure the Brits thought George and T. Jefferson were traitors also, right??

I Concur That Snowden Could be THE HERO of This Century

and all the others ?

Freedom is a byproduct of acceptance - judge not.

Let me put my tinfoil hat on for a second...

What IF this is just disinformation put out by Snowden's enemies so that there was a kind of bounty on his head now?: You could bring down the US Government, all you have to do is remove Snowden.
And then nothing happens...

What does give the original story a little credibility for me is that he has supposedly just taken personal information on the government personnel. Pretty bad, but not as sensational as one could go if just trying to grab headlines, like he found out who really killed JFK, evidence UFOs are real, etc, etc.

if this is true man those in government are gonna look

really bad, for the guilty ones, I will be the one sitting back roasting marshmallows. Suppossedly tensions are rising with Russia, Putin probably is in the thick of it with Obama, probably best friends eventhough they paint them not as such. It's so hard to tell these days between truth and lies.

I wouldnt be too fussed if

I wouldnt be too fussed if this turened out to be a dud, i WOULD be fussed, if someone somewhere who may get in a position like this, DOES'NT know, that, YES, there are people of the public that would CELEBRATE such a bold move for the sake of the peoples rights

Bold, in the face of what it is today, standard in the face of what it is tommorow......i hope

A BRIEF SNIPET! WOW!!!

Making the situation all the more dire for the government is that Snowden has made clear he will release some of the information under certain “other” circumstances. For instance, if Martial Law is declared in the US or if any elections are canceled for any reason, all the government employee info goes out. If an economic collapse takes place, all the Banker/Stock Broker/Commodities Trader information goes out. If Corporations start hyper-inflating prices, all the information about them, their officers and Board of Directors will go out.

Snowden literally has the most powerful people in the United States in an inescapable stranglehold. If any of the things articulated above take place, everyone throughout the country will know exactly who to blame and exactly where they live. One can only speculate that under the right conditions, it might not be long until those responsible for the problems of our country, faced consequences for their actions; consequences delivered one at a time, in the dark of night, when there is no help . . . . and no escape.

thats,

thats, thats.........BRILLIANT.

I didn't dare believe that snowden thought in such a way, i mean, i imagined his "line on the Sand" but this happily shows me he is further along then i thought, makes me feel happy, and then not only to think this way, but to have the courage to actually finally give the people their own threat back, right back towards the folks who thought they were untouchable, in a very realistic way.....wow, just wow

I wonder if he's far enough along to actually release it though, that would be another happy day

he is a Ron Paul supporter

obviously, he has the fire we all contain on here, but a pretty pronounced flame thrower to release that fire. If it were most of us on this site, I would tend to believe we would all be Snowdens if given the chance. Truth is worth more than any riches, at least to me it is. Riches are necessary to buy lies, the truth is a privilege given with no strings attach that can be lost and never regained. There is no filing bankruptcy with truth, once its gone there is no clean slate.

Nothing to do with the NSA?

"Armed Services Chairman Buck McKeon (R-Calif.) read his statement rather than making comments on the fly “because of the seriousness of this issue and the sensitivity” of the information they’d just heard.

“Ed Snowden isn’t a whistleblower; he’s a traitor,” McKeon said.

No matter what opinion people hold of the data collection programs, he added, people should be “shocked and outraged to find that a substantial amount of the information has nothing to do with the NSA."

So, if it has nothing to do with the NSA, what was the NSA doing with the information?

I was wondering even before reading this how much info might be in there about
specific scams and coverups and the like. If he used webcrawling software to vacuum
up millions of files it's not like he had time to check them individually - he probably couldn't
have known in any detail more than a fraction of whatl he had before he had to
get out of Dodge, so to speak.

These fascist -----ers want to put everyone else's every move
and relationship under a microscope but threaten to throw some daylight on
them and their activities and they are ready to scatter like cockroaches...

If true, best news I've seen for a while...

"So, if it has nothing to do

"So, if it has nothing to do with the NSA, what was the NSA doing with the information?"

Eee-xactly, they make these statements like that presuming themselves excempt from investigation, that dverybody should and will look away, from the thing they've become so accustomed too, that they dont even know how they have violated a right......rights dont even come in to the damn equation......its all about force x Illusion = Winning (sic)

This story is lacking a

This story is lacking a credible source. It also doesn't make a whole lot of sense for Snowden to do this.

Agree. The source also reports on craft spotted on the moon.

Not that there's anything wrong with that...

What's wrong is this is exactly how disinformation works. Take something that is credible sounding and report it as actual fact. In many cases the disinfo may actually be accurate - as in the case of Edward Snowden, who almost certainly set up certain 'doomsday' precautions to guard his own life, like an email scheduled to be sent unless he prevents it from being sent every day or week. It's an old trick.

The problem is that once this story is repeated and a source is requested, all it traces back to is some anonymous blog. This causes the story-repeater to lose credibility, the exact objective of the disinfo.

Sounds good but I'm not buying it.

Doesn't make sense?

Can you say "best life insurance ever"??

And, not only protecting himself and immediate collaborators
but aiming to protect others from an in your face off to the
FEMA camps crackdown?

Brilliant, if true.

And could only work because the government is terrified
of people knowing exactly who and where they are and what
they are doing under color of authority.

Did I already say "brilliant"?

:)

"And could only work because the government is terrified

:)

"if you've got nothing to hide"

Throwing it right back

It's the exact opposite of

It's the exact opposite of life insurance. The NSA has plenty of enemies who would realize all they have to do to get the dirt is go after Snowden. If he actually were to do what this article claims, he'd be giving the NSA an incentive to protect him but giving the NSA's enemies an incentive to go after him.

Good point..

Which did occur to me later.

As you point out - although there is a hell of an incentive for the
USG to protect him, even though they'd like to do just the opposite,
it maybe creates an incentive for someone who would like to see
it come out.

Although maybe there's enough dirt there on most of the other
major players that they would be hesitant to have that come out
along with what came out about the US...

Good for the goose..

What's good for the goose, is good for the gander.
Right?
Why is it that the Government doesn't like it when "We the People" have the same infor about them as they have about us?
Hey, they have all this "private" info about every man, woman, and child...
Why so bothered if it is now available to "US"?
Awaiting to see this "dirt" in my lifetime.
This private info is just the tip of the iceberg.

Some of that may be extrapolation

One of the original sources, cited by TRN, cited by the link in the post. A much shorter story.

http://pjmedia.com/tatler/2014/02/05/lawmakers-disturbed-and...

It seems he may have at least seen some particularly juicy stuff, though the article is a bit more specific than the source.

Since they consider all their actions to be above the law, I'm skeptical of their use of the word 'treason'.

Just open the box and see

what a crock

what a crock

Hmm, not sure about this one.

This story sounds way too good to be true, but if it proves to be accurate, it definitely explains why all of these chicken-hawk types and the whole National Security apparatus is so vile in their rhetoric towards him yet unwilling to send in a black ops hit team to kill him.

If Snowden has the goods on all these people, good on him. If this is all fake, I still applaud him for what he's done.
