Are you aiming at doing a feature film some day? You've got the talent and I'd love to see what you would come up with.

Yes, I am!

I absolutely intend to move on to feature films and make a career out of this. In fact, I'm hoping to get a feature film off the ground in the next year.

I've been developing an action-packed modern day western set in Eastern Oregon with an anti-drug war message for several years now that I hope to turn into a feature film. For a long time I'd thought that it would be my first feature film, but now I'm not so sure. I want to tell that story right, and ideally I'd like to get a half million plus budget to do that.

Since I think it would be a very long road to getting that film off the ground with the kind of funding necessary to make it as goo as possible, I'm currently looking into another option for my first feature film. It's something that I think I could quite realistically do for $50,000 or so. It would also be a modern-day western, actually. A true story too. One that I think could be very poignant. Won't say too much more yet, but I'm starting to very seriously look into it.

THE WINNER OF THE CONTEST!

Congrats!

Watched them all, and, really

Watched them all, and, really did not like any of them. But Dick Johnson was the best one IMO.

It just wasn't funny. Sorry.

Joy Camp hands down. The others were not funny at all. Actually they were very creepy.

I agree, his was the best. I

I agree, his was the best. I like how he included actual footage as well and had more intelligent humor.

We all share this eternally evolving present moment- The past and future only exist as inconsequential mental fabrications.

intelligent is the correct word, SF.

The others were... ahem... campy. lol.... This was my favorite:

The problem with this one...

The problem with this entry is that it didn't really follow the contest guidelines. The entire point of the contest (if you were doing a narrative, at least) was to make something funny and satirical. Here's the pertinent part of the contest entry:

"Film must be a satire piece, comedy piece, a serious report, an investigative report or research criticism on the suppression of the First Amendment by the Transportation Security Administration and/or the National Security Agency."

My very first thought when I heard about the contest was to make a dark, serious drama about the NSA spying on someone. Then I read the contest details a little more closely and realized that that wouldn't really work. You might not like the humor/campiness, but that was kind of the point of the entire competition.

Great job David, hope you win the contest !

You can't be TSA. You aren't black, brown or mulatto.

What?

There are plenty of White TSA agents. Don't even try to make this a racial issue.

Kudos on making a film and

Kudos on making a film and embracing the concept, but I have some issues with the film making aspect.

There were eye lining problems. The opening was too long for a short. Some of the actors were a bit over the top, especially the lead.

I also agree with the comment below about the sound. It was inconsistent. I didn't like the music.

I think you should have stuck to one scene. Just my thoughts...

If you disagree with me on anything you are not a real libertarian...

The opening act was

The opening act was hilarious especially the dolly in shot with the kid. Great concept and fair execution..though I thought the production sound needed some fine tuning and the edit needed to be tighten.

From the writing of the

From the writing of the script to the submission of the film, the entire production time was less than 6 days. So unfortunately there wasn't really time to ADR the scenes that had audio issues caused by ambient noises beyond our control.

Great Acting!

Especially the kid. I love the look on his face when he starts thinking of what he wants to be.

What I can say is I'm glad that you're on our side.

Good idea, using humor to expose tyranny. Loved it, very professionally done. The TSA won't understand the meaning of your video, so no worries about TSA revenge. They'll think that it is an action short-documentary.

Rock on

David! Congrats! Let's get you that big win!
