Thoroughly Enjoying Daily Paul Radio

Pleasantly surprised at how much I've been enjoying Daily Paul Radio. Such a breath of fresh air compared to the mainstream stuff. Right now Lions of Liberty is on with Ben Swann as a guest. I won't be turning this off anytime soon. Awesome idea guys, and thanks to whoever started it!

re: Commercials

Yes, I am sorry that the commercials have to run, but keeping all the gears humming along does require a bit of scratch.

However, please know we are currently investigating a sponsorship route for a few shows whereby outside of a "sponsored by" message at the open/close of the show along with a live plug, the show would run virtually commercial free.

My hope is to debut this model soon after we launch the updated audio player that finally squashes the inter-device/cross-browser capability issues, some users experience when trying to tune into the stream.

Finally, please do not ever hesitate to send me an email if there is a show you would like the station to carry, a problem you see, or if you have a suggestion.

Aw Man You Guys Are Great

Thank you everyone for the kind words, and to Michael Nystrom, Big Mike, and Jon for allowing me to restart Daily Paul Radio. Until I received that magic "okay let me see what you can do/golden ticket" email, it was but a dream. So thank you from the bottom of my heart.

As a geeky gal who grew up listening to Chicago talk radio from an early age, I was for quite some time fascinated by "The Challenge of Ideas" and "The Big Conversation,” while also being extremely annoyed even at that age, at the notion that one needed a license to share those conversations with other people.

However, and it seems to me, that it really took a turn for the worse after September 11, 2001, talk radio really left the big conversation in favor of the new nationalism, i.e. I can scream how much of PATRIOT I am while denouncing the "other" side as un-American. The old thoughtful local hosts from several of my favorite stations were systematically replaced one by one by the likes of Sean Hannity and Mark Levin.

My reinvestigation of running a radio show/station started after being asked to host, first on Break the Matrix, then the rebel faction, Bold Voices. However the industry standard station automation software was extremely buggy, and the learning curve of the internal scripting language, i.e. PAL seemed way too daunting and the thought of speaking on mic in lieu of my favored medium of writing, filled me with a bit of anxiety.

But a chance visit to the Daily Paul chat room on the night that the manhunt for the Boston Bombers began started us down the path that led to idea of re-imagining Daily Paul Radio as station offering liberty content 24/7.

Moreover, I am still amazed so much to the point that sometimes I recount the shows/hours on the schedule to make sure I am not kidding myself, or overselling the station, but in just three short months, Daily Paul Radio offers the most original content day in and day out than any other internet-only liberty talk station.

However, none of this would have materialized without the encouragement of my friends in the DP chat, Treubig, Bill, SmaulGld, Chrome, Firefox, Realist, Smudge, and several others who I know I am forgetting at this early hour, but who also played a role in the rebirth of DPR.

Also, please know that Jeff Treubig, whose incredible knack for code, patiently taught me not to fear the PAL, which along with the advancement of the software, made it all possible from a technical standpoint.

(And we do it LIVE all without asking permission from the federal overlords.) :)

Here here!

Thanks to all who've been listening and big thanks to Alllison for getting this off the ground. I'm so honored to be a part of this great venture!

*Advancing the Ideas of Liberty Daily*

Ever since I started listening to it about a month ago, every day I look forward to it. Despite the constant commercials, the programming is of very good quality for the most part.

Keep it up!

DP Radio is great

Thank you DP Radio for putting the lions of liberty podcast on the station. I know all of the Lions of Liberty contributors are very excited about the podcast and proud of the job Marc is doing. The guests have been fantastic!
