Looks like the Pope is pulling another Ron Paul

Pope slashes spending, cuts waste, orders Vatican's books open for surprise audits. Next up, the Vatican Bank!

Pope makes first overhaul of Vatican finances in 25 years

VATICAN CITY (AP) -- Pope Francis on Monday announced the first major overhaul of the Vatican's outdated and inefficient bureaucracy in a quarter-century, creating an economics secretariat to control all economic, administrative, personnel and procurement functions of the Holy See.
...
An auditor will be empowered to conduct audits of any Vatican agency, at any time, the announcement said.

The new structure is the result of a commission of inquiry appointed by Francis last summer to recommend ways to improve efficiency and transparency and reduce waste.
...
The pope has yet to announce any decision on the findings of the other commission of inquiry, concerning the scandal-marred Vatican bank.

Real Audit?

If this is going to be a real audit of the Vatican, it needs to go back substantially more than 25 years. It should go back about 2000 years. That would certainly prove difficult, but a mere 25 years is nonsense. They need to look at the Vatican's participation in WW II, complicity with Mussolini, etc.

Perhaps this audit is being done to make it appear the Vatican is reforming itself. I don't buy it.

Is the Pope distancing himself from the Vatican-bank scandal?

Pope Opens Vatican Bank Kimono 2-25-14

In a desperate attempt to distance itself from the widening corruption scandal linking the Vatican's bank accounts to fund (and allegedly bribe) a 2007 acquisition by Monte dei Paschi of Antonventa, the Pope has taken an unprecedented step in open the Vatican's finances to public view.

As Reuters reports, Pope Francis on Monday revolutionized the Vatican's scandal-plagued finances by appointing an auditor-general stating that the Church must see its possessions and financial assets in the "light of its mission to evangelize, with particular concern for the most needy.

The auditor-general will have wide oversight powers "to conduct audits of any agency of the Holy See and Vatican City State at any time," a statement said. Francis decreed that the changes have "immediate, full and stable effect," abrogating any existing rules not compatible with them.

Pope Francis

should be very careful. The last Pope to try this, John Paul I, died suddenly and mysteriously in 1978, only 33 days after being installed. His was the shortest papal reign in history. John Paul I had made it known that he intended to eliminate the Freemasonic element in the curia, and take on the Vatican Bank.

seriously though. You're right. They like to use poison.

See John McManus' Lecture

..in the video embedded in my comments below.
This was touched upon at the Fatima Peace Conference that Ron Paul attended AND spoke at.
I'll say a prayer for this Pope.
There's more here than meets the eye.

The Pope is finally out of the denial mode. Good.

What he sees is the grim future of the Church that previous Popes have enabled and covered-up and that now is coming back to haunt them. Within the past month, something happened in Montana. What you ask? This:

Catholic diocese in Helena, Mont., files for bankruptcy to resolve sex abuse lawsuits

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Helena, Mont., filed for bankruptcy protection on Friday to pave the way for a $15 million settlement of lawsuits alleging clergy members sexually abused 362 children over five decades, according to a diocese spokesman. [Nearly 100 of them were Native children.]

However; It's more widespread than you'd imagine.

What about the vaults?

Can we look through the vaults now please?

Hmmm.... Something's up.

Remember what happened to the last Pope who tried that? (John Paul I)

Lest We Forget

...the all-too-brief papacy of John Paul 1st:
Reigned only 34 DAYS
Osservatore Politico Newspaper Article in midst of his reign.
Was he investigating widespread infiltration of church prelates?
(it was alleged to number 120 freemason infiltrators)
John Paul's death precluded any investigation or denouncement.
Scene of his death "attended to" by Cardinal Vilot.
(papal apartment and its records "cleaned up" immediately)
In America this would be a corruption of a crime scene, prosecutorial.

Let's pray for this guy...Pray for the Pope.
He very well may be a "paulestinian".
John McManus details this all, at the Fatima Peace Conference, and to that I must heartily thank you for the link.

Very revealing speeches at that Conference.

I wanted to post that one, too but, after the bashing on the Church Lady one, I figured it was futile. So much can be learned from listening to the speeches at that Fatima Conference. http://www.fatimathepathtopeace.org/index.php?option=com_con...

I'm glad you found the great value in the Conference that I found. Thanks for posting John McManus' speech here. Hopefully, some will finally listen, without going off topic.

the poop is not who you think

the poop is not who you think he is. He is the furthest from Ron Paul that can be.

That was uncalled for.

And since I doubt that you would care for my opinion, maybe you would like to know Ron Paul's opinion of a Pope.

So if Ron Paul was elected President, he would be guilty of the evils of past Presidents??

The poop is a socialist. the poop is no different from the douches who came before him. Ron Paul is different from every other President going back to Jefferson. There is no difference. Why the hell people worship that guy is no better than the people who worship Obama or Bush.
